MVW Roster

FEATURED PERFORMERS:

Missouri Valley Wrestling CEO Jill Berg
Jill Berg first burst upon the wrestling scene in 2009 when she joined up with Dream Wrestling Federation. Berg became the final DWF Women’s champion when she defeated Lora Kirk for the title but then would lose it at DWF’s Golden Dreams pay per view show to Missouri Valley Wrestling Champion Miss USA in a title unification match.

Berg wrestled in both MVW and PCW (Political Championship Wrestling) and won the PCW title in 2010- improbably defeating Yamamoto Tanaka with a lot of help.   When Missouri Valley Wrestling returned in early 2015, Jill defeated ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris to become the first champion of the new era. Berg lost the belt a few months later and has concentrated on business ventures and outside ring pursuits.

Berg was a major player in the formation of the Missouri Valley Wrestling Supporter’s Trust and purchased the company outright in May 2017.

‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann
McMann is the lead booker in Missouri Valley Wrestling and reports directly to Jill Berg.

For fifteen years, Mr. McMann has been the leading advocate of sports entertainment. McMann first appeared in PCW in 2006 and over the years feuded with PCW management over the implementation of his vision of sports entertainment versus PCW’s political wrestling cumulating in the PCW vs. EECW Pay Per View show in 2006. McMann also had an eleven year feud with ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin as he tried to persuade her to become a sports entertainment star. Martin finally joined up with him in early 2017.

McMann also has heads up the Sports Entertainment Corporation stable in MVW with Phil Finebaum as the SEC’s Official Mouthpiece.

FEATURED WRESTLERS:

‘Tin Cup’ Ray McAvay
HT: 6’-3” WT: 195 HOME: Fort Stockton, TX / FIN: McGill Bomb
MUSIC: “Turn Around”- Aaron Watson
Ray McAvay first appeared on PCW back in 2012 and wrestled there until the promotion ceased operations in 2014. From there, McAvay worked the independent circuit out West and became re-acquainted with Dawn McGill- who’d he been in PCW with. McGill had an offer to return to High Octane Wrestling as a manager and asked McAvay if he’d be interested in going there. He accepted her offer.

Under McGill’s guidance, McAvay became a much improved wrestler in HOW and won the LSD title at HOW’s War Games pay per view show in 2015. McAvay also was a two-time ICON champion in HOW and in 2016 won the HOW title at War Games 2016 when he was the last man standing. McAvay lost the belt at HOW’s final show to Brian Hollywood.

McAvay returned to a reconstituted PCW (he’d also participated in the PCW Reunion show in 2015) in the fall of 2016 at PCW’s Extreme Election Night 2016 show. When PCW again ceased operations in May of 2017, McAvay signed on with Missouri Valley Wrestling and won the MVW title in July 2017.

McAvay’s alignment is a face even though he has been known to use a Big Bertha Driver as a weapon against his opponent. McAvay is the leader of the Les Miserables, a ‘man of the people,’ and is accompanied to the ring by West Texas Adult Entertainment Legends Dark and Stormy along with Bert the Janitor.

McAvay married Dawn McGill while he was in HOW and had twins (R.K. and Gracie) with her. They divorced in early 2017.

Dawn McGill

HT: 6’ 0″ WT: 145 / HOME: Dallas, TX / FIN: McGill Bomb

Dawn is a former Army Ranger who spent a year in Iraq.  She was honorably discharged after an IED went off while she was on patrol and shrapnel severely damaged her right knee.  After returning home, Dawn decided to pursue a career in pro wrestling  but her knee wouldn’t stand up under the stress for very long. She became a valet at PCW and eventually took a job as an assistant booker and talent co-ordinator.

In 2009, McGill went to work for Missouri Valley Wrestling and helped get the promotion off the ground.  She became the manager for Miss USA and led her to the MVW Title. McGill also became the manager for SNAFU in PCW and led him to PCW’s Television Title.  Later that year, she took her 19 year old cousin Charlie Blackwell under her wing and is guided his fledgling career in Dream Wrestling Federation.  Dawn’s wrestling career roared back to the forefront when she went to High Octane Wrestling and defeated Tim Shipley for HOW’s LSD Title and then followed up that triumph by winning Missouri Valley Wrestling’s Tag Team belts with partner Jackie Daniels within a space of three days.

Dawn gave birth to a girl, Eva in 2011 and spent the next few years dabbling part time in wrestling.  She returned full time in 2015 and managed ‘Tin Cup’ Ray McAvay in HOW to the LSD title.   She married McAvay in 2015 and had twin children with him (R.K. and Gracie.) but the relationship hit a rough patch and the couple split up in early 2017.  McGill ran MVW in 2016 and brought back PCW in 2017.  She returned to Missouri Valley Wrestling in 2017 and led the Island of Misfit Wrestlers (Rah and Halitosis) to the MVW Tag Team title.
