MATCH #2-Rough Justice: D.B. Ruff and Connor Justice-two former police officers fired for their extreme brand of justice defeated Jack from State Barn Insurance and Bob Zardoz (Run Time: 5 minutes)
-Ruff and Justice have little trouble with the ad hoc team thrown together for this particular match.

Thunderbolt and Hall Preview Evening of Champions- part one (Run Time: 6 minutes)

Six Man Tag Team Grudge Match:
The Southern Boys: ‘Dastardly’ Dave Miller, ‘Dangerous’ Dan Williams, and ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson
vs.
The Kings of Old School: Bobby Ricky Michaels, Marty Gibson-Lane, and ‘No Frills’ Chris Escondido

Why did MVW CEO Ray McAvay book this match? Basically, McAvay became tired of the way The Southern Boys kept acting out when things don’t go their way. He originally booked Miller and Williams to face the MVW Tag Team champions Corporate World, Inc. at Evening of Champions. Then McAvay booked J.J. Bittinger to get a rematch against Charlie Blackwell after Dickinson interfered in their match on October 28th.   Dickinson went full Bill Dickinson and attacked McAvay one week later when McAvay returned to the ring for one night only.

As mentioned earlier, the Southern Boys’s Miller, Williams, and Dickinson are a cohesive, unified team who have one goal and one goal only- gold. They’ve sat on top of the MVW Men’s Tag Team mountain as holders of the title. They also ‘owe’ the Kings of Old School one- having lost the last big match between the two teams just last month in a six man tornado tag match inside a cage. The Southern Boys want this win bad

Real bad.

The Kings of Old School have suffered a distinct downturn of results of late, falling out of the Tag Team top 5 and out of title contention. But they will be up for this one. The Kings hate the Southern Boys. The Southern Boys hate the Kings of Old School.

Women’s Heartland Title Match:
‘Trailer Park Queen’ Eva Perrin © with Colonel John Perrin and Lani Harlot
vs.
Kristen Canfield

The Argenta Rose returned to MVW a few months back and wasted little time making her presence felt in the Women’s Heartland division. Perrin rolled past Tiana Walker, Kirsten Canfield, and then ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin in the finals to become the first Women’s Heartland division champion.   Perrin has also prevailed in a battle against Lani Harlot over who is the ‘true’ Trailer Park Queen when she defeated Harlot. Now into the third month of her title reign, she runs up against one of the more difficult opponents in the division in Kirsten Canfield.

Canfield’s awkward style and cerebral approach to her wrestling masks her lack of size and strength and makes her a formidable opponent. Kirsten’s an experienced worker though and Perrin will be challenged in this match.

Men’s Heartland Title Match:
‘The New Age Cybertronic Criminally Insane Rogue Sentient Robot Wrestling Machine’ Ultratron-5.1 © with Todd the Backstage Technician and Poison Penny
vs.
‘The Sunshine God’ Rah with Happy Mango, Bob Nye-The Foot Fetish Guy, and the BronzeBeach Bikini Team

In his second run as the Heartland champion, Ultratron-5.1 has worked hard to solidify his hold on the belt going so far as to kidnap Dawn McGill (again) and then trade her even up for Tori McGill as an insurance policy against Rah- that is, until Ray McAvay finally stepped in to put a stop to it.

Without his insurance policy, Ultratron-5.1 faces a Rah who he’s managed to provoke to the point where the Sunshine God isn’t feeling very sunny at all and wants to throttle The New Age Cybertronic Criminally Insane Rogue Sentient Robot Wrestling Machine. Can Rah harness his emotions and win back the Heartland title? Or can Ultratron-5.1 take full advantage of Rah’s anger to continue his title reign?

Six Man Tag Team Grudge Match:

Thunderbolt and Hall Preview Evening of Champions- part two (Run Time: 7 minutes)

Women’s Tag Team Title Match:
The Missouri Valley Fight Club (Harley Davisson and Carrieanne McDermott) ©
vs.
Backman Taylor Powerdrive (Charlene Backman and Brianna Taylor)

Davisson and McDermott have ruled the women’s tag team division with an iron fist since February save a twenty-eight day stretch where Angels of Death (Angel Scott and Angel Casey) held the belts. Simply put, the Missouri Valley Fight Club are a step above everyone else in the division at the moment with Backman Taylor Powerdrive, the People’s Front of Berea (KY), and the Hanson Sisters all vying for the title. Last month, the MVFC took care of business against the BTP. This month, Ray McAvay decided that Backman Taylor Powerdrive had done enough over the past few months to be the second best team in MVW overall and booked them for a rematch against the champions.

Backman Taylor Powerdrive are a power based tag team with not a whole lot of finesse to them. Backman and Taylor have had high points and low points during their MVW career. They are on a high point run at the moment and just defeated the PFB in a #1 contender’s match to insure they will get another shot at the tag belts in January should they be unsuccessful in unseating the MVFC this weekend. The big question with BTP is are they ready to take the next step? If so, the MVFB may have a fight on their hands. If not, Davisson and McDermott should cruise to another win.

Men’s Tag Team Title Match:
Corporate World, Inc. (P.M.C. Banks and Kirk Walstreit) ©
vs.
Rough Justice (D.B. Ruff and Connor Justice- two former police officers fired for their extreme brand of justice)

If there is one team who can say they’ve benefitted the most from the McAvay Makeover (ie…a basic change in philosophy where every match that takes place – either at a house show or at a supershow – means something no matter what) it’s been Rough Justice. Formerly a mid-card act scraping by to get matches in MVW, Rough Justice became a force in the tag team division once McAvay removed the ‘handcuffs’ holding them back.

So when the Southern Boys acted up again and McAvay needed to make a point with them, he decided to put Rough Justice into this match. However, Ruff and Justice aren’t the only wrestlers who’ve thrived under the McAvay era, Corporate World, Inc. are pushing six months as champions and show no sign of slowing down. Kirk Walstreit still comes out with the velvet painting of ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit and P.M.C. Banks is still learning his craft inside the ring, but the King of Greed Gordon Guyko has managed to bring out the best in both men as they’ve staved off the challenges of both the Southern Boys and Rough Justice. Can Corporate World, Inc. continue their impressive run and reach the six month mark of their title reign. Or can Rough Justice spring the upset of upsets to win the title.

CO-MAIN EVENT-Women’s Title Match:
‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan ©
vs.
Lisa Barbosa-Stevens

It’s been a long road back after Sheline Carrigan lost the Women’s title in July of 2017 to Christa Carmondy. Self-confidence issues set her back and stalled her career until she hooked up with Coach E.J. Flack earlier this year. It took a while for Flack’s teachings to connect with Carrigan but once they did, the Canadian Cyborg flew up the women’s rankings into title contention. Carrigan had quite the donnybrook with Barbosa-Stevens in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on September 21st and nearly won the title right there. Now, she looks for validation of her controversial win over Barbosa-Stevens last month in Chicago where High Octane Wrestling’s Scottywood interjected himself into the match with a clean win at Evening of Champions.

As for Lisa Barbosa-Stevens, she has had a few weeks to digest what went wrong in Chicago and what she needs to do to win back the Women’s title. McAvay immediately booked this match after Scottywood’s shenanigans. Can Barbosa-Stevens – who’s struggled in the ring since Chicago – put everything that happened and all the chaos leading up to the match (her husband Scott Stevens was embroiled in a bitter feud with Scottywood leading up to their Crucifixion match that aired this past Friday night) and regain the form that put her at the top of the ladies’s division?

CO-MAIN EVENT-Men’s Title Match:
‘Charlie Wrestling’ Charlie Blackwell ©
vs.
J.J. Bittinger

If Carrigan v. Barbosa-Stevens was the first match Ray McAvay booked, a rematch between Charlie Blackwell v. J.J. Bittinger after ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson interfered and attacked Bittinger last month was the second.

Bittinger also holds the distinction of being the first wrestler McAvay signed and brought into MVW from Appalachian Mountain Championship Wrestling. J.J. ingratiated himself from the beginning when he attacked Blackwell on his first night in the company. Afterwards, Bittinger got to work and moved his way up the rankings into title contention. Now, the circle’s complete and J.J. has his second crack at winning the Men’s title.

Blackwell just passed the sixteenth month of his title reign. Bittinger had the champion on the ropes last month before Dickinson made his untimely foray to the ring to cost him the title. Can Charlie learn from what happened last month and make up for what was a sub-par performance?
