LAST WEEK ON MVW’s WRESTLING NIGHT IN THE HEARTLAND ON HOTv:
-Daniel-San cuts a promo for the Shadow Warrior Shizuko Yamazaki and says she will fight with honor and give everything she has to overcome the odds.
-Blaire Moise interviews Lisa Barbosa-Stevens who says she’s put the whole Scottywood/Sheline Carrigan fiasco behind her and is focusing only on regaining the title at her earliest opportunity.
-But Yamazaki defeats Barbosa-Stevens and earns a Women’s title shot in January.
-Blaire talks with ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson. Dickinson says he’s send Bittinger back to Appalachian Mountain Championship Wrestling like a wounded dog running away with a load of buckshot in his ass.
-J.J. Bittinger calls Dickinson weak and someone who talks a real strong game but relies on his faction to soften up and remove obstacles in his way and calls himself the wall that Dickinson is about to run into.
-Dickinson defeats Bittinger- he too will get a title shot at the first big MVW show of 2020. The show ends with Dickinson and the Southern Boys beating down Bittinger to add insult to injury.

Missouri Valley Wrestling
MVW’s Wrestling Night in the Heartland on HOTv
Monday November 25th, 2019
Taped Saturday November 23rd
JQH Arena
Springfield, MO

Announcer: Thunderbolt Smith and ‘Long Haul’ Rick Hall
Backstage Interviewer: Blaire Moise

===============================

Thunderbolt Smith and Rick Hall start the show from the middle of the ring.

Thunderbolt Smith: Hello and welcome to the JQH Arena in Springfield, Missouri for another edition of Wrestling Night in the Heartland on HOTv. I am Thunderbolt Smith. He is ‘Long Haul’ Rick Hall.

Rick Hall: Hey.

Thunderbolt Smith: Tonight is the go home show for next week’s Evening of Champions pay per view show. We’re going to take one last look at the final card tonight and we’ve got two matches on tap for you. Rick?

Rick Hall: That’s right Thunderbolt. Here are our matches for tonight…

Lisa Barbosa-Stevens vs. Lani Harlot
Barbosa-Stevens has a date on December 1st against the new Women’s Champion Sheline Carrigan. Tonight, she faces the former Queen of the Trailer Park Lani Harlot in a matchup of #2 versus #3. Lisa is trying to bounce back from the loss of her title to Carrigan and is priming herself for the rematch she so badly wants. She lost the number one contendership to Shizuko Yamazaki which further gives her incentive to up her game and get back to the level where she was before.

As for Harlot, she has reacted to the loss of her status as the Queen of the Trailer Park by taking her game to the next level. Lani has moved back up in the rankings to #3 and would love nothing more than to leapfrog Barbosa-Stevens to put herself back in title contention.

MAIN EVENT: The Southern Boys: (‘Dastardly’ Dave Miller, ‘Dangerous’ Dan Williams, ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson, and ‘Cowboy’ Dan Butler) defeated MVW Tag Team Champions Corporate World, Inc. (P.M.C. Banks and Kirk Walstreit), MVW Champion Charlie Blackwell, and Heartland Champion ‘The New Age Cybertronic Criminally Insane Rogue Sentient Robot Wrestling Machine’ Ultratron-5.1
-Our main event features the MVW Men’s, Heartland, and Tag Team champions on the same team versus all four of the Southern Boys. ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson and ‘Cowboy’ Dan Butler are the number one contender’s for the Men’s and Heartland title and the ‘Dastardly’ Dave Miller and ‘Dangerous’ Dan Williams the number one contender for the Tag Team title.

Can Blackwell, Corporate World, Inc., and Ultratron-5.1 co-exist on the same team against the Southern Boys?

Thunderbolt Smith: That might be a big ask there. Say what you will about them, the Southern Boys are a cohesive unit and work well together.

BLAIRE MOISE HOUSE SHOW RECAP
Cut to Blaire Moise (for the final time as she’s been brought back by High Octane Wrestling) who goes over what went down at the house shows this past weekend.

Blaire Moise: Thanks Thunderbolt. Let’s take a quick look-see at all the action over the weekend.

MVW CEO Ray McAvay Announcement Before the Poplar Bluff, Missouri Show
MVW CEO Ray McAvay came out and announced that Victoria McGill had been released by the Heartland Champion Ultratron-5.1 and would be wrestling at both house shows this weekend.

Blaire Moise: Our long national nightmare is over. Ray McAvay put an end to this and made Ultratron-5.1 back down in order to gain the release of Tori McGill.

J.J. ‘The Bear’ Bittinger defeated Jack Fraiser
In Poplar Bluff, Missouri Friday night, Fraiser gave Bittinger fits all match long and nearly pulled off the mild upset.  Bittinger righted the ship late and locked in the Bear Trap to finish off Fraiser.

Blaire Moise: Bittinger’s final tune up before he faces Charlie Blackwell next Sunday night for the title goes well. Fraiser gave him a test but J.J. came through with flying colors.

MVW Women’s Tag Team Champions The Missouri Valley Fight Club (Harley Davisson and Carrieanne McDermott), Shizuko Yamazaki, and Women’s Heartland Champion Eva Perrin defeated Backman Taylor Powerdrive (Charlene Backman and Brianna Taylor), MVW Women’s Champion Sheline Carrigan, and Kirsten Canfield
McDermott caught Canfield out of the blue with the Glasgow Handshake to give her team the win.

Blaire Moise: In this match, the champions/challengers in their respective divisions all made sure to give their opponents next week a wide berth.

Victoria McGill defeated Poison Penny
Saturday night in Springfield, Missouri, Tori brushed aside Poison Penny to claim the #2 ranking in the Women’s Heartland Division and move into range of potential title contention. Tori ended the match with the McGill Bomb @ 9:05

Blaire Moise: Victoria McGill had a great weekend. Ultratron-5.1 released her. She teamed with her aunt Regina to defeat the ‘Texas Cowgirl’ Haley Dallas and ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris on Friday night and then topped it off with a nice win over Poison Penny on Saturday. Okay, last but not least…

Mike Best Interview (From Friday night’s Refueled 9 show/courtesy of High Octane Wrestling)
Mike Best slams the door in Blaire’s face as the reporter just nods her head as we cut to commercial.

Blaire Moise: And yes, I did make my ‘triumphant’ return Friday night to HOW and tonight will be my final show with MVW. I’d like to thank Ray McAvay and Laura Bergman for giving me something to do over these past few weeks. It’s always fun hanging out with you all and maybe we will see each other again down the road. Back to you Thunderbolt.

Thunderbolt Smith: Thank you Blaire for everything that you’ve done for us. We’ll be back with more right after these messages.

Cut back to the broadcast table.

Thunderbolt Smith: All right. We are back. Evening of Champions is under a week away. Rick and I are going to run down and review the card for next week’s pay per view show. Let’s start with the opener.

Six Man Tag Team Grudge Match:
The Southern Boys: ‘Dastardly’ Dave Miller, ‘Dangerous’ Dan Williams, and ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson
vs.
The Kings of Old School: Bobby Ricky Michaels, Marty Gibson-Lane, and ‘No Frills’ Chris Escondido

Why did MVW CEO Ray McAvay book this match? Basically, McAvay became tired of the way The Southern Boys kept acting out when things don’t go their way. He originally booked Miller and Williams to face the MVW Tag Team champions Corporate World, Inc. at Evening of Champions. Then McAvay booked J.J. Bittinger to get a rematch against Charlie Blackwell after Dickinson interfered in their match on October 28th.   Dickinson went full Bill Dickinson and attacked McAvay one week later when McAvay returned to the ring for one night only.

As mentioned earlier, the Southern Boys’s Miller, Williams, and Dickinson are a cohesive, unified team who have one goal and one goal only- gold. They’ve sat on top of the MVW Men’s Tag Team mountain as holders of the title. They also ‘owe’ the Kings of Old School one- having lost the last big match between the two teams just last month in a six man tornado tag match inside a cage. The Southern Boys want this win bad

Real bad.

The Kings of Old School have suffered a distinct downturn of results of late, falling out of the Tag Team top 5 and out of title contention. But they will be up for this one. The Kings hate the Southern Boys. The Southern Boys hate the Kings of Old School.

Women’s Heartland Title Match:
‘Trailer Park Queen’ Eva Perrin © with Colonel John Perrin and Lani Harlot
vs.
Kristen Canfield

The Argenta Rose returned to MVW a few months back and wasted little time making her presence felt in the Women’s Heartland division. Perrin rolled past Tiana Walker, Kirsten Canfield, and then ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin in the finals to become the first Women’s Heartland division champion.   Perrin has also prevailed in a battle against Lani Harlot over who is the ‘true’ Trailer Park Queen when she defeated Harlot. Now into the third month of her title reign, she runs up against one of the more difficult opponents in the division in Kirsten Canfield.

Canfield’s awkward style and cerebral approach to her wrestling masks her lack of size and strength and makes her a formidable opponent. Kirsten’s an experienced worker though and Perrin will be challenged in this match.

Men’s Heartland Title Match:
‘The New Age Cybertronic Criminally Insane Rogue Sentient Robot Wrestling Machine’ Ultratron-5.1 © with Todd the Backstage Technician and Poison Penny
vs.
‘The Sunshine God’ Rah with Happy Mango, Bob Nye-The Foot Fetish Guy, and the BronzeBeach Bikini Team

In his second run as the Heartland champion, Ultratron-5.1 has worked hard to solidify his hold on the belt going so far as to kidnap Dawn McGill (again) and then trade her even up for Tori McGill as an insurance policy against Rah- that is, until Ray McAvay finally stepped in to put a stop to it.

Without his insurance policy, Ultratron-5.1 faces a Rah who he’s managed to provoke to the point where the Sunshine God isn’t feeling very sunny at all and wants to throttle The New Age Cybertronic Criminally Insane Rogue Sentient Robot Wrestling Machine. Can Rah harness his emotions and win back the Heartland title? Or can Ultratron-5.1 take full advantage of Rah’s anger to continue his title reign?

Thunderbolt Smith: We will review the other four matches in next week’s pay per view show in a little bit. Let’s go to the ring for our first match of the night.

Kimber Marshall does the in-ring introductions.

Lisa Barbosa-Stevens
AGE: ** / HT 6’0″ WT: 130 / HOME: Houston, TX
FIN: Toxic Sting
MGR: Ted Tebow- Tim Tebow’s long lost black sheep brother no one ever knew he had.
BODYGUARDS: The Stevens Dynasty
Bo Stevens
HT: 6’ 1” WT: 234 / HOME: Waco, TX
George Stevens
HT: 6’ 5” WT: 445 / HOME: Texarkana, TX

Lani Harlot
AGE: 33 / HT: 5′ 10″ WT: 118 / HOME: Magnolia, AR
FIN: White Trash Compactor (Inverted Body Crunch)
WITH: Women’s Heartland Champion Eva Perrin and Colonel John Perrin

Thunderbolt Smith: Lisa Barbosa-Stevens is one week away from her date with destiny when she tries to regain the MVW Women’s title from ‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan.

Rick Hall: But she can’t overlook Lani Harlot. Lani has pulled herself up from the bottom with a lot of hard work over the past few years and possesses one of the more devastating submission finishers with the White Trash Compactor. Lisa needs to be focused here. The former Women’s champion is ready to shine one more time but tonight she’ll have to fight against the former Queen of the Trailer Park. Will Lani Harlot ruin Barbosa-Stevens’s run-up to next week? Or is Barbosa-Stevens ready to make clear she’s ready to reclaim her crown?

Thunderbolt Smith: Corrina Romanov is our referee and this match is underway.

MATCH #1-Lisa Barbosa-Stevens vs. Lani Harlot
Barbosa-Stevens has the fans with her and cheering her on while Harlot scowl. Early on, Harlot’s the one on the offensive wrenching a wristlock and keeping Barbosa-Stevens on the defensive. She even taunts Barbosa-Stevens when she tries to reel her in for a kick. Barbosa-Stevens doesn’t fall for her trick so Harlot goes top turnbuckle and flies for another arm-drag!
-Fans are fired up as Barbosa-Stevens fights back. She spins Harlot around and nails her with a leg drop DDT! Cover, TWO! Harlot scowls again. She whips Barbosa-Stevens to the ropes and Colonel Perrin gets a cheap shot in. While referee Corrina Romanov admonishes Colonel Perrin, fans boo when Harlot takes advantage and flings Barbosa-Stevens to the mat. Harlot takes her to her corner and chokes Barbosa-Stevens on the ropes. Romanov starts a count- Harlot stops at 4. As she discusses with Romanov, Colonel Perrin reaches in and chokes Lisa!
-This gets an adverse reaction from the Stevens Dynasty. Both Bo and George Stevens jump up on the ring apron. Bo warns Colonel Perrin while George glares at him. Harlot drags Barbosa-Stevens up and slams her headfirst into the turnbuckle. Lisa fights back with forearms. Harlot forearms right back and shoves Barbosa-Stevens back to her corner again. Colonel Perrin then clubs Barbosa-Stevens on her back while Harlot again chokes her on the ropes. Again, Romanov starts a count and Harlot lets up at 4 as we head to a commercial break.

Match continued…
-Harlot continues to control the action. She snapmares Barbosa-Stevens and transitions into a chinlock. She digs her knee into the back. The fans rally up spurring Barbosa-Stevens to fight! Finally, Barbosa-Stevens suddenly comes alive. She elbows Harlot and then drives her away with counter punches. Lisa rocks her with an uppercut and then a back hand knocks Harlot down to the mat. Cover, TWO! Lisa keeps on pushing with a whip but Harlot reverses and sends her for the ride. Barbosa-Stevens slides under the boot. She trips Harlot up and hits a throwback cutter! Cover, TWO! Harlot reaches for the ropes. Barbosa-Stevens drags her up and turns Harlot. Fireman’s carry by Lisa but Harlot fights out! Small package by Barbosa-Stevens- cover, TWO! Harlot is furious and Colonel Perrin takes a step into the ring. Referee Romanov steps in to stop that. Eva Perrin grabs a hold of Barbosa-Stevens and allows Harlot get in a free shot. But Barbosa-Stevens ducks out and Harlot nails Perrin right in the head! -Finally, the former two time Women’s champion puts Harlot away with the Toxic Sting. Bo and George Stevens hit the ring to stop Colonel Perrin from interfering and that’s all she wrote. One…two…THREE!

WINNER: Lisa Barbosa-Stevens defeated Lani Harlot with the Toxic Sting @ 14:16 (edited to 9:00 for television)

Thunderbolt Smith: It wasn’t easy. But Lisa Barbosa-Stevens prevails here on Wrestling Night in the Heartland.

Rick Hall: Lani’s a tough customer who’s made herself into a good wrestler. She put in a good shift here tonight but Lisa was too much for her.

Thunderbolt Smith: Lisa will be wrestling next Sunday night at Evening of Champions, let’s finish up our preview with the final four matches of the show- starting with…

Women’s Tag Team Title Match:
The Missouri Valley Fight Club (Harley Davisson and Carrieanne McDermott) ©
vs.
Backman Taylor Powerdrive (Charlene Backman and Brianna Taylor)

Davisson and McDermott have ruled the women’s tag team division with an iron fist since February save a twenty-eight day stretch where Angels of Death (Angel Scott and Angel Casey) held the belts. Simply put, the Missouri Valley Fight Club are a step above everyone else in the division at the moment with Backman Taylor Powerdrive, the People’s Front of Berea (KY), and the Hanson Sisters all vying for the title. Last month, the MVFC took care of business against the BTP. This month, Ray McAvay decided that Backman Taylor Powerdrive had done enough over the past few months to be the second best team in MVW overall and booked them for a rematch against the champions.

Backman Taylor Powerdrive are a power based tag team with not a whole lot of finesse to them. Backman and Taylor have had high points and low points during their MVW career. They are on a high point run at the moment and just defeated the PFB in a #1 contender’s match to insure they will get another shot at the tag belts in January should they be unsuccessful in unseating the MVFC this weekend. The big question with BTP is are they ready to take the next step? If so, the MVFB may have a fight on their hands. If not, Davisson and McDermott should cruise to another win.

Men’s Tag Team Title Match:
Corporate World, Inc. (P.M.C. Banks and Kirk Walstreit) ©
vs.
Rough Justice (D.B. Ruff and Connor Justice- two former police officers fired for their extreme brand of justice)

If there is one team who can say they’ve benefitted the most from the McAvay Makeover (ie…a basic change in philosophy where every match that takes place – either at a house show or at a supershow – means something no matter what) it’s been Rough Justice. Formerly a mid-card act scraping by to get matches in MVW, Rough Justice became a force in the tag team division once McAvay removed the ‘handcuffs’ holding them back.

So when the Southern Boys acted up again and McAvay needed to make a point with them, he decided to put Rough Justice into this match. However, Ruff and Justice aren’t the only wrestlers who’ve thrived under the McAvay era, Corporate World, Inc. are pushing six months as champions and show no sign of slowing down. Kirk Walstreit still comes out with the velvet painting of ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit and P.M.C. Banks is still learning his craft inside the ring, but the King of Greed Gordon Guyko has managed to bring out the best in both men as they’ve staved off the challenges of both the Southern Boys and Rough Justice. Can Corporate World, Inc. continue their impressive run and reach the six month mark of their title reign. Or can Rough Justice spring the upset of upsets to win the title.

CO-MAIN EVENT-Women’s Title Match:
‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan ©
vs.
Lisa Barbosa-Stevens

It’s been a long road back after Sheline Carrigan lost the Women’s title in July of 2017 to Christa Carmondy. Self-confidence issues set her back and stalled her career until she hooked up with Coach E.J. Flack earlier this year. It took a while for Flack’s teachings to connect with Carrigan but once they did, the Canadian Cyborg flew up the women’s rankings into title contention. Carrigan had quite the donnybrook with Barbosa-Stevens in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on September 21st and nearly won the title right there. Now, she looks for validation of her controversial win over Barbosa-Stevens last month in Chicago where High Octane Wrestling’s Scottywood interjected himself into the match with a clean win at Evening of Champions.

As for Lisa Barbosa-Stevens, she has had a few weeks to digest what went wrong in Chicago and what she needs to do to win back the Women’s title. McAvay immediately booked this match after Scottywood’s shenanigans. Can Barbosa-Stevens – who’s struggled in the ring since Chicago – put everything that happened and all the chaos leading up to the match (her husband Scott Stevens was embroiled in a bitter feud with Scottywood leading up to their Crucifixion match that aired this past Friday night) and regain the form that put her at the top of the ladies’s division?

CO-MAIN EVENT-Men’s Title Match:
‘Charlie Wrestling’ Charlie Blackwell ©
vs.
J.J. Bittinger

If Carrigan v. Barbosa-Stevens was the first match Ray McAvay booked, a rematch between Charlie Blackwell v. J.J. Bittinger after ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson interfered and attacked Bittinger last month was the second.

Bittinger also holds the distinction of being the first wrestler McAvay signed and brought into MVW from Appalachian Mountain Championship Wrestling. J.J. ingratiated himself from the beginning when he attacked Blackwell on his first night in the company. Afterwards, Bittinger got to work and moved his way up the rankings into title contention. Now, the circle’s complete and J.J. has his second crack at winning the Men’s title.

Blackwell just passed the sixteenth month of his title reign. Bittinger had the champion on the ropes last month before Dickinson made his untimely foray to the ring to cost him the title. Can Charlie learn from what happened last month and make up for what was a sub-par performance?

Thunderbolt Smith: I am looking forward to next week’s show. We’ve got the main event coming up next.

Cut back to the broadcast desk.

Thunderbolt Smith: All right. Let’s go right to the ring as all eight men are in the ring.

MAIN EVENT-The Southern Boys: (‘Dastardly’ Dave Miller, ‘Dangerous’ Dan Williams, ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson, and ‘Cowboy’ Dan Butler) vs. MVW Tag Team Champions Corporate World, Inc. (P.M.C. Banks and Kirk Walstreit), MVW Champion Charlie Blackwell, and Heartland Champion ‘The New Age Cybertronic Criminally Insane Rogue Sentient Robot Wrestling Machine’ Ultratron-5.1
Ultratron-5.1 lasted a whopping two minutes before he walked out on his team and went to the back.

-There was also friction between Charlie Blackwell and Corporate World, Inc. and suffice to say the Southern Boys then took full advantage.

-Dickinson soaks up the jeers as he and Butler are just working Walstreit over. Blackwell and Williams battle. Banks and Miller battle. Walstreit flops and tries to crawl away as both Dickinson and Butler takes aim. Blackwell hops up and springboards to missile dropkick Dickinson down! Fans are fired up as Blackwell throws right hands to Butler. Miller neck wrenches Banks. The Southern Boys use their numerical advantage to wear down Corporate World and Blackwell.

-In the end, with both Blackwell and Walstreit on the floor outside the ring, Dickinson destroys Banks with not one but TWO Southern Fried Powerbombs for the academic pin.

WINNER: MVW Tag Team Champions Corporate World, Inc. (P.M.C. Banks and Kirk Walstreit), MVW Champion Charlie Blackwell, and Heartland Champion ‘The New Age Cybertronic Criminally Insane Rogue Sentient Robot Wrestling Machine’ Ultratron-5.1- Dickinson pinned Banks after hitting the Southern Fried Powerbomb @ 11:27 (edited to 10:00 minutes for television)

Thunderbolt Smith: That’s going to do it for this week-

The crowd stands and roars as Blaire Moise walks out one last time.

Crowd: Thank you Blaire (clap, clap clap-clap-clap)…Thank you Blaire (clap, clap clap-clap-clap)…

Thunderbolt Smith: Thank you indeed Blaire for coming back and good luck with HOW.   Next week is the pay per view. We will see you then. Good night everyone.
