Missouri Valley Wrestling
MVW’s Wrestling Night in the Heartland on HOTv
Monday November 18th, 2019
Taped Saturday November 16th
Hyland Performance Arena
St. Charles, Missouri

Announcer: Thunderbolt Smith and ‘Long Haul’ Rick Hall
Backstage Interviewer: Blaire Moise

===============================

Thunderbolt Smith and Rick Hall start the show from the middle of the ring.

Thunderbolt Smith: Two weeks away from the year end Evening of Champions Pay Per View show, we are at the Hyland Performance Arena in St. Charles, Missouri for tonight’s edition of MVW’s Wrestling Night in the Heartland on HOTv.

Thunderbolt points to himself.

Thunderbolt Smith: I am Thunderbolt Smith. He is ‘Long Haul’ Rick Hall.

Thunderbolt points to Hall next to him.

Rick Hall: Hey.

Thunderbolt Smith: We’ve got two big matches for you tonight. Tell us about them, Rick.

Rick Hall: Thanks Thunderbolt.

Women’s Title #1 Contender’s Match: Shizuko Yamazaki vs. Lisa Barbosa-Stevens

Rick Hall: Our first match is going to be a doozy. Lisa Barbosa-Stevens – three weeks removed from losing the MVW Women’s Title to ‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan – already has a rematch set with Carrigan in two weeks. Tonight, she goes for the number one contender’s match that would guarantee her another title shot in January. Can Lisa put what happened in Chicago on October 26th behind her and move forward? But Barbosa-Stevens faces the wunderkind from Japan – Shizuko Yamazaki. Yamazaki was in this situation two months ago when she faced the now-Women’s Champion Carrigan in a number one contender’s match. She gave the Canadian Cyborg a tough match but fell in the end. Yamazaki’s form dropped but here she is again, knocking on the door of a title shot.

Men’s #1 Contender’s Match: J.J. Bittinger vs. ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson

Rick Hall: In our main event tonight, J.J. Bittinger takes on ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson for a January shot at the title. Bittinger got a little help from Charlie Blackwell last month to defeat Dickinson and earn his first shot at the MVW Men’s title. But then Dickinson interfered in Bittinger’s match with Blackwell for the title and took out Bittinger which gave J.J. the win but not the title. These two have been at each other’s throats ever since. Tonight, both Bittinger and Dickinson look to settle this once and for all over the number one contender’s spot in the men’s division.

Thunderbolt Smith: And of course, we are coming up on two weeks before our year of the end pay per view show- Evening of Champions. Last week, Missouri Valley Wrestling CEO Ray McAvay made a slight change to the card.

(REPLAY: Last Week’s Show)

Ray McAvay: …The Southern Boys’s actions speak for themselves. So all I’ll going to say is- one dick move deserves another.

Murmuring in the crowd.

Ray McAvay: So, I have decided to make a little change in the upcoming Evening of Champions year end pay per view. I have decided to insert Rough Justice into the tag team title match against Corporate World, Inc. and move the Southern Boys to the opening match in the show to face the King of Old Schools in a DQ match. With that in mind…here is the card for our year end pay per view- Evening of Champions.

Rick Hall: McAvay made a HUGE change to the card Thunderbolt. He took the Southern Boys OUT of the Tag Team title match…

Thunderbolt Smith: Because on this show, McAvay is making the booking decisions and not using the rankings.

Rick Hall: …right. He took the Southern Boys from the match and re-booked them into a no disqualification match against their longtime rivals- The Kings of Old School in the opening match. Here’s the complete card for Evening of Champions:

Opener/No DQ Match:
The Southern Boys (‘Dastardly’ Dave Miller, ‘Dangerous’ Dan Williams, and ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson) vs. The Kings of Old School (Bobby Ricky Michaels, Marty Gibson-Lane, and ‘No Frills’ Chris Escondido)

Women’s Heartland Title Match:
‘The Trailer Park Queen’ Eva Perrin © vs. Kirsten Canfield

Men’s Heartland Title Match:
‘The New Age Cybertronic Criminally Insane Rogue Sentient Robot Wrestling Machine’ Ultratron-5.1 © vs. ‘The Sunshine God’ Rah

Women’s Tag Team Title Match:
The Missouri Valley Fight Club (Harley Davisson and Carrieanne McDermott) © vs. Backman Taylor Powerdrive (Charlene Backman and Brianna Taylor)

Men’s Tag Team Title Match:
Corporate World, Inc. (P.M.C. Banks and Kirk Walstreit) © vs. Rough Justice (D.B. Ruff and Connor Justice- two former police officers fired for their extreme brand of justice)

CO-MAIN EVENT-Women’s Title Match:
‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan © vs. Lisa Barbosa-Stevens

CO-MAIN EVENT-Men’s Title Match:
‘Charlie Wrestling’ Charlie Blackwell © vs. J.J. Bittinger

BLAIRE MOISE WEEKEND HOUSE SHOW REVIEW (Run Time: 2 minutes)
Cut to Blaire Moise at the news desk.

Blaire Moise: Hey everyone. Let’s review what happened over the weekend at the MVW house show in St. Charles, Missouri Saturday night.

Poison Penny defeated Victoria McGill
Of course, Tori is being held captive by Poison Penny’s ally- the Heartland Champion Ultratron 5.1- so she was unable to make it to the ring for her match and was counted out in ten seconds.

Blaire Moise: This could have been a huge opportunity for Tori to move up in the rankings and break into title contention but she was robbed of the opportunity. After the match, Heartland Champion Ultratron-5.1 and the Dark Overlords of Wrestling wheeled Tori out after the count-out. Ultratron-5.1 then cut a promo on Rah. He told the Sunshine God if he knows what’s good for young Tori then he knows what he has to do at Evening of Champions- lose the match.

Heartland Champion ‘The New Age Cybertronic Criminally Insane Rogue Sentient Robot Wrestling Machine’ Ultratron-5.1 defeated Eric Haywood with the Disintegrator @ 3:22
With Tori forced to watch the non-title match, Ultratron-5.1 ruthlessly dispatches Haywood in quick order.

Tag Team Champions Corporate World, Inc.: P.M.C. Banks and Kirk Walstreit defeated Willie (‘I have a child!’) Zane and Tim Machine
Banks and Walstreit were never challenged as Banks pinned Zane with the Bank Overdraft @ 4:21. Watching the match from the stage? ‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann and the former mouthpiece of the Sports Entertainment Corporation Phil Finebaum.

Blaire Moise: There’s a lot of past history between McMann, Finebaum, Banks, and Walstreit. Why were they there watching? Could something be up? We will find out soon.

SHIZUKO YAMAZAKI PROMO (Run Time: 1 minutes)
Daniel-San speaks for the Shadow Warrior. He says she knows the challenge ahead of her tonight when steps into the ring with Lisa Barbosa-Stevens and that Barbosa-Stevens is a great wrestler – a great champion – and will take into the match a decided advantage on Yamazaki in terms of experience.

Daniel-San: All I can say is this, Yamazaki will fight with honor and she will give everything she has to overcome the odds.

Cut back to the broadcast desk.

Thunderbolt and Hall immediately throw it to Blaire Moise backstage who has Lisa Barbosa-Stevens with her right before she heads to the ring.

LISA BARBOSA-STEVENS INTERVIEW (Run Time: 2 minutes)
Blaire asks Lisa about the match.

Lisa states it’s going to be a tough one. She says Shizuko Yamazaki is young and strong and most importantly learning under the tutelage of Daniel-San. She will not underestimate Yamazaki but she will try to use the Shadow Warrior’s inexperience against her.

Blaire then asks Lisa if there’s any hangover left from the way she lost the title.

-Lisa says no. She’s already put the whole Scottywood/Sheline Carrigan fiasco behind her and is focusing only on regaining the title at her earliest opportunity- in two weeks in the rematch with Carrigan at the Evening of Champions pay per view. Lisa feels lucky that she has a very strong support system with George and Bo Stevens in her corner and her husband Scott Stevens one hundred percent behind her with her wrestling career.

Blaire thanks her and Barbosa-Stevens heads to the ring.

Cut back to the broadcast desk.

Thunderbolt and Hall send it right to Ring Announcer Kimber Marshall for the pre-match introductions.

MATCH ONE/#1 CONTENDER’S MATCH-WOMEN’S TITLE-Lisa Barbosa-Stevens vs. Shizuko Yamazaki (Run Time: 9 minutes)
Marshall in the ring and ready to go.

Kimber Marshall: Our first match is a one fall…

The Crowd: ONE fall!

Kimber Marshall: …and is a number one contender’s match for the Missouri Valley Wrestling Women’s Title.

Yamazaki comes out aggressive. Barbosa-Stevens uses her experience to withstand the early onslaught and tries to settle the match down to a pace she’s more comfortable with. Barbosa-Stevens battles with superkicks and chops. Yamazaki though continues to press relentlessly forward. She hits Barbosa-Stevens with a pop up powerbomb and spear and keeps the pressure on as we go to a commercial break.

Women’s #1 Contender’s Match: Lisa Barbosa-Stevens vs. Shizuko Yamazaki-continued (Run Time: 4 minutes)
Barbosa-Stevens tries every trick she’s learned in her storied wrestling career to find a way to put her opponent on the defensive. She almost hits a Toxic Sting but Yamazaki somehow escapes with a Back Thrust Kick and turns it into a Sidewinder Slam. Yamazaki follows with a Hip Toss right into a Low Kick.
-Yamazaki closes out the match with the Cranial Contusion and the subsequent pinfall at sixteen minutes and forty-one seconds gives the Shadow Warrior the biggest Missouri Valley Wrestling victory in her young career.

WINNER AND #1 CONTENDER FOR THE WOMEN’S TITLE: ‘The Shadow Warrior’ Shizuko Yamazaki @ 16:41

Thunderbolt Smith: Yamazaki will now face the winner of Women’s Champion Sheline Carrigan and Lisa Barbosa-Stevens on January 11th in St. Louis, Missouri for the Women’s Title.

Rick Hall: Great win for Shizuko Yamazaki. She came out and dictated the pace to Lisa Barbosa-Stevens from the bell and never let up.

Thunderbolt Smith: Was it a hangover from the Sheline Carrigan match?

Rick Hall: No. I think it just wasn’t Lisa’s night. But. She gets her rematch with Carrigan in two weeks and I guarantee you that she will be a much different wrestler than the one we saw tonight.

Cut to Blaire Moise backstage.

‘REDNECK’ BILL DICKINSON INTERVIEW (Run Time: 2 minutes)
Blaire tries to interview Dickinson but the 330 pound Southern Brawler is only interested in making a quick statement.

Dickinson says J.J. Bittinger has bitten off way more than he can chew and he’s going to send him back to Appalachian Mountain Championship Wrestling like a wounded dog running away with a load of buckshot in his ass.

Blaire then asks about his ongoing problems with MVW CEO Ray McAvay.

Dickinson surprises her by turning down the rhetoric a little. He criticizes McAvay for taking action against the Southern Boys as a whole and taking ‘Dastardly’ Dave Miller and ‘Dangerous’ Dan Williams out of the tag match at Evening of Champions. Dickinson says McAvay’s problem is with him- not the rest of the group.

With that, Dickinson moves on.

J.J. BITTINGER PROMO (Run Time: 2 minutes )
Bittinger calls Bill Dickinson weak and someone who talks a real strong game but relies on his faction to soften up and remove obstacles in his way. Bittinger says he is not only an obstacle but he’s a wall that Dickinson will blindly run into at eighty mile an hour. He says Dickinson could get away with his *BLEEP* in the Heartland title division- but his act doesn’t work when you get into a division where the best wrestlers in the company are. Bittinger finishes by saying Dickinson’s going down tonight.

Thunderbolt and Hall send it back to Ring Announcer Kimber Marshall for the pre-match introductions.

MAIN EVENT/#1 CONTENDER’S MATCH-MEN’S TITLE-‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson vs. J.J. Bittinger (Run Time: 3 minutes)

Kimber Marshall: Our main event tonight is one fall…

The Crowd: ONE fall!

Kimber Marshall: …and the winner will become the #1 contender for the Missouri Valley Wrestling Men’s Title. Introducing first…

“White Trash” – Chris Janson

‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson “The 330 Pound Southern Brawler”
AGE: 37 / HT: 6′ 1″  WT: 330 / HOME: Troy, AL

FIN: Southern Fried Powerbomb
WITH THE SOUTHERN BOYS: ‘Dastardly’ Dave Miller, ‘Dangerous’ Dan Williams, ‘Cowboy’ Dan Butler

Kimber Marshall: And his opponent…

“Whiskey Man”- Molly Hatchet

J.J. ‘The Bear’ Bittinger
AGE: 29 / HT: 6′ 4″ WT: 265 / HOME: Cherokee, NC

FIN: Bear Hug or the Bear Trap

The bell sounds and both men waste little time in attacking. Dickinson unloads heavy bombs. Bittinger absorbs them and gets the 330 pound Southern Brawler to the mat. He tries to keep him grounded but Dickinson is too strong and powers out just as we go to our final commercial spot of the night.

Men’s #1 Contender’s Match: ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson vs. J.J. Bittinger-continued (Run Time: 10 minutes)
Dickinson and Bittinger continue to battle. Both men refuse to back down. Both men are putting everything they’ve got into the match. So much that they don’t notice an interested visitor watching the match from the stage. Again, it’s ‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann and the former mouthpiece of the SEC Phil Finebaum.
-Late in the match,
J.J. gets sent to the mat with a Dickinson right hand. Arm drag takedown sends Bittinger down again. Dickinson goes for the pin but Bittinger won’t stay down. Lockup. Bittinger with the go behind. Dickinson backs to the ropes.  He sends Bittinger down hard with a shoulder tackle. Dickinson sends Bittinger for the ride to the ropes. He goes for a clothesline. Bittinger ducks under and spins around. Chop. Kick, Slingblade. Bittinger goes for the pinfall but Dickinson eludes him and rolls to the outside. Bittinger hits the ropes. Suicide dive…but Dickinson and Williams catch him. Double fall away slam to the floor.
-Miller and Butler get a couple cheap shots in as Dickinson drags Bittinger back into the ring. Dickinson lifts Bittinger in the air and delivers a devastating Southern Fried Powerbomb to him. Cover. One…Two…THREE.

WINNER AND THE NEW #1 CONTENDER FOR THE MEN’S TITLE: ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson @ 16:21

Thunderbolt Smith: And Bill Dickinson will face the winner of the Charlie Blackwell-J.J. Bittinger match at Evening of Champions on January 11th.

Rick Hall: Good win by Dickinson. J.J. Bittinger made one mistake in the match and it was a huge one.

Thunderbolt Smith: The suicide dive to take out all four members of the Southern Boys didn’t work as planned.

Rick Hall: Not in the least. And now, Bittinger’s paying the price.

Back to the ring, all four of the Southern Boys stomp away at Bittinger as McMann and Finebaum watch from the stage and the show comes to an end.
