Missouri Valley Wrestling
MVW’s Wrestling Night in the Heartland on HOTv
Monday October 21st, 2019
Taped Saturday October 19th
Verizon Center
Mankato, MN

Announcers: Thunderbolt Smith and ‘Long Haul’ Rick Hall
Backstage Interviewer: Blaire Moise

Thunderbolt Smith and Rick Hall start the show from the middle of the ring.

Thunderbolt Smith: Welcome to the Verizon Center in Mankato, Minnesota for tonight’s edition of MVW’s Wrestling Night in the Heartland on HOTv. I am Thunderbolt Smith.

Thunderbolt points to himself.

Thunderbolt Smith: He is ‘Long Haul’ Rick Hall.

Thunderbolt points to Hall next to him.

Rick Hall: Hey.

Thunderbolt Smith: Three title matches for the Chicago show are locked in after an eventful Wrestling Night in the Heartland last week.

Rick Hall: Tonight, we have another big title match as Backman Taylor Powerdrive will challenge The Missouri Valley Fight Club tonight for the Women’s Tag Team title. BTP defeated a tough People’s Front of Berea…Kentucky team last week in Carbondale, Illinois.

Brianna Taylor of BTP escapes from Kellyanne Morris’s Kentucky Headcrusher attempt and drops Morris with the Sledgehammer DDT. Taylor covers and gets the pinfall.

Thunderbolt Smith: Also last week in Carbondale, The Southern Boys- ‘Dastardly’ Dave Miller and ‘Dangerous’ Dan Williams faced Rough Justice- D.B. Ruff and Connor Justice in a tag team number one contender’s match.

‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson races down to the ring. He blows up Laww with a shoulder block and sends the taser flying into the ring. Miller grabs the taser and zaps Ruff. Ruff falls.   Miller hooks the legs and covers.

Dickinson steamrolls Justice on the outside. General DeBauchery (Southern Boys) tackles Lt. Katrina Atcheson of the Kansas Highway Patrol. Payson sees the pinfall and makes the three count.

Rick Hall: And then this one…

(VIDEO FROM LAST WEEK: ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson vs. J.J. Bittinger/Men’s #1 Contender’s Match)

Rough Justice comes to ringside and wipes out Dickinson’s Southern Boys.

Bittinger goes for a 450 splash- Dickinson moves out of the way.

MVW Men’s Champion Charlie Blackwell comes to the ring- distracts Dickinson.

Bittinger rolls up Dickinson from behind and gets the pinfall.

Rick Hall: J.J. Bittinger pulls off the stunning win and he will be facing the aforementioned Charlie Blackwell for the MVW Men’s title next week in Chicago.

Thunderbolt Smith: Dickinson surprisingly kept his cool after the loss and had this to say to Blaire Moise afterwards.

(VIDEO FROM LAST WEEK: Blaire Moise’s interview with Dickinson)

Blaire has Dickinson with him. He looks pissed – but in control. He forces a smile.

Bill Dickinson: Blaire, J.J. got one over on me tonight and that’s okay. Good luck to him next week against Blackwell.

Blaire Moise: Do you have anything to say to Charlie Blackwell.

Bill Dickinson: Oh yeah.

He turns to the camera.

Bill Dickinson: Charlie. This ain’t the end of this.”

Bill Dickinson: Cut the *BLEEP*ing music. Last week, I suffered a bit of a setback. Mr. J.J. Bittinger pinned me and he’s got himself a shot at Charlie Blackwell next week for the title. J.J. – good luck. Just know that the winner of that match is going to have to deal with me ‘cause I’m still coming for that belt.

Dickinson pauses and takes a swig from a bottle of beer he’s brought along with him.

Bill Dickinson: Blackwell? I’ll deal with you later- title or no title. No, the folks I want to talk to are the *BLEEP*holes from Rough Justice. Y’all got a little butthurt because I came to the ring and cheered on the Southern Boys when they beat ya and decide to stick your nose in where it doesn’t belong. Y’all cost me a title shot and tonight, I aim to collect a little payback. So boys? I know y’all are back there. Get your ass out here and let’s do this RIGHT…NOW!

Dickinson spikes the microphone and walks towards the ring followed by the rest of the Southern Boys.

“Rough Justice”- Rolling Stones

MATCH ONE/SIX MAN TAG TEAM- The Southern Boys vs. Rough Justice
Rough Justice bursts through the ropes and charge at the Southern Boys. Both teams begin to brawl.

Referee Ron Martin runs down and slides into the ring. He calls for the bell.

Thunderbolt Smith: Here we go!

Dickinson squares with Ruff.   Williams with Laww. Miller and Justice lock up.

Martin just sits back and let’s them go.

Thunderbolt Smith: I think Ron Martin knows he’s not going to be able to control this match.

Rick Hall: Yeah. He’s not even going to try.

Miller and Justice end out on the outside. They continue to have at it.

The two big, big guys- Williams and Laww- throw heavy bombs at each other.

Dickinson and Ruff also throw down.

Williams whips Law to the ropes. Laww holds the top rope and hangs on. Williams then clotheslines Laww over the top rope to the floor.

Williams goes top rope- Big Splash to Laww on the floor.

Back in the ring, Dickinson attacks Ruff with chops and strikes. Body slam to Ruff. Cover.

T-Ruff kicks out.

Dickinson tries to press the advantage but Ruff cuts him off. Ruff with a slam. He follows with strikes and cradles Dickinson.

T-Dickinson kicks out.

Ruff takes him to the corner, follows with chops and jabs.

Knee strike by Ruff. Dickinson fires back.   Ruff cuts him off with a suplex.

Ruff covers.

Tw-Dickinson kicks out.

Dickinson grabs Ruff’s arm and chucks him into the corner.

Thunderbolt Smith: We will step out here for a couple moments. We will be back with more after these messages.

Six Man Tag Match…continued
Not much has changed except now the MVW Tag Team Champions Corporate World, Inc. have come to ringside to watch the match- much to the Southern Boys’s displeasure.

Thunderbolt Smith: And we’re back and joined now by the illustrious leader of Corporate World, Inc. – ‘The King of Greed’ – Gordon Guyko.

Gordon Guyko: Thunderbolt, it’s a pleasure to be here tonight.

Thunderbolt Smith: Gordon, Corporate World, Inc. gets the Southern Boys again for the tag belts.

Gordon Guyko: Yeah. We were kind of hoping that Rough Justice would put an end to these inbred rednecks but unfortunately, the Southern Boys slipped through again. So people of Chicago, come on out to the Joseph Gentile Arena and watch the best tag team in Missouri Valley Wrestling- Corporate World. Inc. – send the renegade rednecks down to another defeat.

Back in the ring, the match has almost become an actual tag match with only two men in the ring- Miller and Justice. Dickinson and Williams are exchanging words with the tag team champions Kirk Walstreit and P.M.C. Banks of Corporate World, Inc.

Rick Hall: It’s going to be quite the evening for wrestling next week in Chicago. We’ll be there at the Joseph Gentile Arena. Then later on in the evening, High Octane Wrestling returns to the legendary Best Arena near downtown for Friday Night Chaos Four.

Gordon Guyko: Yes. I even have my VIP tickets in hand. I am looking forward to a great match between the HOW World Champion Halitosis who is teaming up with Max Kael Jr. against Dan Ryan and LSD Champion M.J. Flair.

Rick Hall: Of course, Halitosis was a former two time tag team champion here with Rah.

Gordon Guyko: He was. His team wasn’t as good as Corporate World, Inc.- but even I must admit that they were good.

Thunderbolt Smith: ROLL UP!

With the Southern Boys distracted by the presence of and ongoing chatter with the Southern Boys at ringside, Connor Justice has slipped in from behind and rolled up ‘Dastardly’ Dave Miller.

Rick Hall: Wow.

Thunderbolt Smith: Rough Justice gets a little revenge on the Southern Boys with a shocking win.

Kimber Marshall slips into the ring.

Kimber Marshall: Your winner at six minutes and six seconds – ROUGH! JUS- HEYYYY!

Miller shoves past Marshall and dives through the ropes towards Guyko.

Rick Hall: WATCH OUT!

Dickinson and Williams dive down from the ring apron and tackle Walstreit and Banks.

Miller drives Guyko to the floor- Thunderbolt and Hall have to take evasive maneuvers.

Dickinson, Williams, Walstreit, and Banks roll around on the floor flailing away at each other. Miller rains down right hands on Guyko.

Immediately, MVW security race down to restore order.

Thunderbolt Smith: Okay. Rough Justice gets the win. Let’s go backstage to Blaire Moise. Blaire, take it away.

Cut to:

Blaire Moise stands in the hallway backstage.

Blaire Moise: Blaire Moise here with the Missouri Valley Wrestling Men’s Champion Charlie Blackwell.

Charlie steps into the shot.

Blaire Moise: Charlie, last week you came to the ring during the Bill Dickinson-J.J. Bittinger match and caused a bit of a distraction. Why?

Charlie Blackwell: Well Blaire, here’s the deal. The Southern Boys are so predictable. They strut around playing the big bully. But if you push back. If you don’t back down. They can’t handle it. I proved it last week. Corporate World, Inc. just proved it a couple minutes ago. The Southern Boys are the epitome of people who can dish it out but can’t take it.

Blaire Moise: Talk about your title defense next week against J.J. Bittinger.

Charlie Blackwell: J.J. came into MVW and tried to make a big splash when he attacked me. Okay. But since then, he’s worked his way up. J.J. lost to Bill Dickinson last month. This time, he got the win. So, I’ll give J.J. credit for doing the heavy lifting to get himself into a title shot.

Blackwell golf claps.

Charlie Blackwell: However in Chicago, Illinois next Saturday night, that’s where it stops. I have been the champion for fifteen months. I have defeated all comers. J.J.- I said that I wanted you this time instead of Dickinson because you attacked me. Charlie Blackwell is the undisputed king of Missouri Valley Wrestling. Next Saturday in Chicago, J.J. Bittinger – you’re going to find out why.

Blackwell nods at Blaire and departs.

Kellyanne Morris, Bailey Foster, and Delaney Foster are in the bar. The trio sit at the bar and down a couple shots.

Kellyanne Morris: Don’t worry. We’re just getting warmed up.

Bailey Foster: Cheers y’all.

All Three Women: Cheers!

They raise another shot glass and down another shot.

The male contingent of the People’s Front of Berea show up.

Zeb Morris (Kellyanne’s husband), Dayle Joe Foster (Delaney and Bailey’s brother), and Ezekiel Walker (Delaney’s fiancée) show up.

Zeb Morris: Well.

Morris holds up a signed contract.

Zeb Morris: This here paper says it’s official. The People’s Front of Berea is open for bizness here in the Missouri Valley Wrestling men’s tag team division.

Kellyanne Morris: I’ll drink to that. Bartender-

Cut back to the broadcast desk.

Thunderbolt Smith: Well, I’m not sure about the idea of drinking before a big match.

Rick Hall: I’m more interested in the idea that the People’s Front of Berea is here in full force now. We will be seeing Zeb Morris, Dayle Joe Foster, and Ezekiel Walker have joined MVW.

In the ring, The Kings of Old School (Bobby Ricky Michaels and Marty Gibson-Lane) and their manager Jackson Horne. Horne is snacking on a Turtle Pecan Cluster blizzard from Dairy Queen- his favorite.

Thunderbolt Smith: Last week, Heartland Champion ‘The New Age Cybertronic Criminally Insane Rogue Sentient Robot Wrestling Machine’ Ultratron-5.1 abducted Jackson Horne’s wife Dawn McGill

(VIDEO FROM LAST WEEK: Ultratron-5.1/Dawn McGill Incident)

-Ultratron-5.1 tells Dawn McGill pretenders like Rah, Ken Kardoucheian… (mockingly) the Queen of the Trailer Park Lani Harlot all demand to be treated like royalty- only Ultratron-5.1 – The New Age Cybertronic Criminally Insane Rogue Sentient Robot Wrestling Machine – is WORTHY and DESERVING of such reverence. He then tells her to bow down before him. She refuses.

-Todd the Backstage Technician- in a hood and robe- attempts to push her into the ring except he’s not really Todd because he’s really Halitosis. Halitosis breathes on Ultratron-5.1- who it turns out WASN’T the real Ultratron-5.1 but actually Todd the Backstage Technician.

-Poison Penny comes up from under the ring apron, kisses McGill with her Poison Kiss, and takes her under the ring where the real Ultratron-5.1 is waiting. They take her away to a waiting vehicle.

Horne shakes his head.

Jackson Horne: Look, I’ll admit I work a VERY limited part-time schedule. The Kings of Old School don’t need me to stay on top of them every minute of the day during the week so I basically just show up at the shows on the weekend- it’s a very laid-back thing and I appreciate being able to do it. I’ve been married to Dawn McGill for two and a half months and it’s been great. She’s officially retired from the business. She still makes the occasional show to watch her daughter Tori wrestle- which is why she was in the arena the night Ultratron-5.1 attacked Tori and Dawn beat the living *BLEEP* out of him.

He takes a bite of the Turtle Pecan Cluster blizzard.

Jackson Horne: The censors had better get ready to bleep some of this *BLEEP* out. Ultratron-5.1. Mr. cosplay Roboto guy. Your gimmick is so bad, I would usually refuse to even acknowledge its existence except for the fact that you’ve KIDNAPPED MY *BLEEP*-ING WIFE! This is the bull*BLEEP* those outlaw, mud show, cosplay wrestling bull*BLEEP* companies do- NOT Missouri Valley Wrestling!

Horne cools off with another bite of his Turtle Pecan Cluster blizzard.

Jackson Horne: Ultratron-5.1, the last thing you want is a fully engaged, pissed off Jackson Horne coming after you. Yeah, the Kings haven’t had the best run of results of late. But you DON’T want to see what would happen if we are properly motivated.

There’s activity on the stage. A spotlight shines and out walks The New Age Cybertronic Criminally Insane Rogue Sentient Robot Wrestling Machine and Todd the Backstage Technician to a chorus of boos.

Ultratron-5.1: Well, well, well. Someone’s taking Ultratron-5.1 seriously now.

Jackson Horne: I want my wife back…NOW!

Ultratron-5.1: Silence, maggot. You are in no position to make demands of me.

Todd’s phone rings. He answers it as Ultratron-5.1 rants on.

Ultratron-5.1: Your wife dared to put her hands on me and strike me with a steel chair.

Todd the Backstage Technician: Over and over and over…

Ultratron-5.1: Over and over…yes. She shall pay the price, worm. She shall be made an example of. She shall-

Todd whispers something in his ear. Ultratron-5.1 becomes alarmed.

Ultratron-5.1: SHE ESCAPED!

The crowd erupts.

Ultratron-5.1 turns and starts choking Todd out.

Ultratron-5.1: How…could…she…have…escaped…

Todd the Backstage Technician (choking): Ack…ack…ack…ack…

As that goes on, the Kings of Old School run to the stage and-

Both get blindsided by two men dressed in black robes wielding steel-folding chairs.

Thunderbolt Smith: Okay! What the hell is this?

The two men slam the chairs on Michaels and Gibson-Lane several more times. Then they stop and stare at Horne in the ring. The black hoods are pulled back.

Thunderbolt Smith: NO WAY! I DON’T BELIEVE IT!

Sufferable has a microphone.

Justin Sufferable: Kings of Old School. Pleased to meet you. This is the ‘The Reconteur of Road Rage’ Triple R.

Sufferable points at Triple R.

Justin Sufferable: I am…Not just unbearable…not just intolerable…I am-

And then the crowd boos.

Sufferable drops the mic on Michael’s chest – he and Triple R exit.

Cut right to commercial…

Cut back to the broadcast desk:

Thunderbolt Smith: That is going to be one hell of a night of pro wrestling action.

Rick Hall: Yes it will.

Thunderbolt Smith: Okay. So, to recap what just went down, Dawn McGill escaped from Ultratron-5.1. Ultratron-5.1 has brought in the Dark Overlords of Wrestling to his group- two longtime wrestling veterans in Justin Sufferable and Triple R. And the D.O.W. just laid out the Kings of Old School.

Rick Hall: That’s pretty succinct.

Thunderbolt Smith: Blaire Moise is backstage with the challengers in tonight’s Women’s Tag Team title match.

Cut to:

Blaire has Charlene Backman and Brianna Taylor with her.

Blaire Moise: Charlene, tonight you will face the Missouri Valley Fight Club once again for the Women’s Tag Team title.

Charlene Backman: Blaire, BTP is going to Take Care of Business tonight. We know what we’re getting into. But BTP’s never backed down from a challenge before and we ain’t starting tonight.

Brianna Taylor: The Missouri Valley Fight Club has been the best women’s tag team here for several months. Taylor Powerdrive wants to become the best women’s tag team in MVW. Tonight, we’re going to take another step forward.

Blaire Moise: The MVFC has a unique style to them.

Charlene Backman: And so do we, Blaire. We can brawl with the best of them or we can actually do a little wrasslin’ too. We know we’ve got a job to do and tonight, we’re going to bring back the Women’s Tag Team title belts.

BTP take their leave at that point.

Blaire Moise: All right. Thunderbolt, I will have the Women’s Tag Team Champions in just a couple minutes.

Cut back to the broadcast desk.

Thunderbolt Smith: Thank you Blaire. Let’s run down some of the results from the matches earlier in the evening.

Yosemite Samantha defeated ‘Queen of the Trailer Park’ Lani Harlot with the Cannonball @ 11:16
Yosemite Samantha fought off Harlot in a hard-fought see-saw contest that seemed to turn when Women’s Heartland Champion Eva Perrin showed up at ringside late in the match. Yosemite Samantha now will face the loser in the Lisa Barbosa-Stevens-Sheline Carrigan title match next week for the Women’s #1 Contender spot.

People’s Front of Berea (KY): Kellyanne Morris and Bailey Foster defeated ‘Former Hooter’s Waitress’ C.J. Lewis and “Queen Cool” Leah Iris- Morris pinned Iris with the Kentucky Headcrusher @ 3:50
C.J. Lewis did double duty tonight wrestling in a single’s and tag team match. The People’s Front of Berea dominated from the opening bell and book themselves into a #1 Contender’s Match against the loser of tonight’s Women’s Tag Team title match between the Missouri Valley Fight Club and Backman Taylor Powerdrive.

Women’s Heartland Title Match: Eva Perrin © defeated Kirsten Canfield with the Overthrow @ 18:27
This ended up being a grind for Eva as she had her way early on but had trouble putting the ever-plucky Canfield away. Then ‘Queen of the Trailer Park’ Lani Harlot came back out and got into another shouting match with Perrin. Referee Corrina Romanov finally banished Harlot to the back..

Thunderbolt Smith: Okay. Blaire Moise now has the Women’s Tag Team Champions standing by. Blaire.

Cut to:

Blaire has Harley Davisson and Carrieanne McDermott with her.

Blaire Moise: Harley. Carrieanne. Tonight it’s Backman Taylor Powerdrive for the title.

Harley Davisson: Blaire. It’s just another match against just another team. We’ll come out and do what we always do.

Blaire Moise: You’re not concerned about BTP then.

Harley Davisson: Of course we’re concerned. But as I said earlier, we look at it as just another match. This is what we do.

Carrieanne McDermott: Aye. We try not to get too excited about our matches. Backman and Taylor are worthy opponents- we know that. We’ll take them seriously.   And we’ll beat them.

Blaire Moise: No worries?

Carrieanne McDermott: Aye. No worries.

Harley Davisson: Just another day at the office.

Blaire Moise: All right. Thank you.

Blaire turns to the camera.

Blaire Moise: Thunderbolt!

Cut back to the broadcast desk.

Thunderbolt Smith: Thank you Blaire. Let’s go to the ring.

Kimber is in the ring for the introduction.

Kimber Marshall: Our next match is a one fall…

Crowd: ONE fall!

Kimber Marshall: …and it is for the Missouri Valley Wrestling Heartland Title! Introducing first-

She’s interrupted by a man dressed in an expensive suit and bow-tie who’s just climbed into the ring.  He elbows her out of the way and gestures for Kimber to take a temporary powder because he’s the one who’s been given the honor and privilege of introducing a living deity.

Announcer Guy: Hit it!

Over the loudspeaker, a buzzing synth sound blares and the announcer guy raises the microphone to his mouth.

Announcer Guy (in a voice not unlike Michael Buffer): Ladies and gentlemen. I present to you the almost universally-worshipped king of the sun gods of all creation. He commands the chariot that rode across the sky during the day. He is the great, fiery globe in the sky, a welcome, nurturing presence to honor the season. He is the inspiration for those who would throw virgins into the gaping maw of a volcano – perhaps an Icelandic volcano – even though such shenanigans haven’t been acceptable since the 1950s. And just for your reference, he is, for 33 years in a row, proven to be one of UC San Diego‘s most enduring traditions in the Sun God festival- an all-day music festival celebrated by more than 20,000 students, alumni and friends. But that’s not important.

He pauses and looks out at the crowd as the lights turn off.  A small spotlight illuminates the ramp where the BeachBronze Suntan Bikini Girls are standing.

The bikini girls pose on the ramp.  Then two large, hulking men carry out a golden sedan chair holding a six foot eight inch, two hundred and eighty pound man dressed in long flowing robes inside.

Announcer Guy: Either way, you should thank your lucky stars and kiss his royal ass for gracing you with his presence here tonight. I give to you…the reason the Earth doesn‘t float away in the vastness of space…the reason it’s eighty degrees outside and not minus four hundred and fifty-nine point six seven…and the reason Brian Wilson wrote all those great songs…ladies and gentlemen…bow down before the Sunshine God…

Rah’s friend and middle-aged folk singer Happy Mango follows strumming a guitar along with the omnipresent Bob Nye- Foot Fetish Guy.

The procession stops at the ring steps. Rah climbs out of his golden sedan chair and prepares to climb into the ring.

Kimber rips the microphone back from Rah’s announcer guy.

Rah!: The Sunshine God

AGE: 36 / HT: 6’ 8” WT: 295 HOME: San Diego, CA
Rah’s Followers: Happy Mango, Bob Nye- Foot Fetish Guy, The BronzeBeach Suntan Bikini Girls

Kimber Marshall: And his opponent is- the MISSOURI VALLEY WRESTLING HEARTLAND CHAMPION!

Ultratron-5.1 tries to look menacing. He turns to the fans and flips them off as Kimber wraps up the introduction.

Ultratron-5.1 ‘The New Age Cybertronic Criminally Insane Rogue Sentient Robot Wrestling Machine’
AGE: ? / HT: 5’ 10″ WT: 200 / HOME: Parts Unknown
FIN: The Disintegrator
MGR: Todd- the Backstage Technician
WITH: Poison Penny

Rah looks all business as he rocks back and forth in his corner.

Referee Brent Payson calls for the bell.

Thunderbolt Smith: And here we go…

Rah runs across the ring and goes for the big boot. Ultratron-5.1 just barely ducks out of the way.

Rah swats Ultratron-5.1 down with a clubbing right hand. Big leg drop. Then Rah pulls Ultratron-5.1 up and heaves him into the corner ringpost.

Thunderbolt Smith: Oh boy. I have never seen Rah this angry before.

Rick Hall: Ultratron-5.1 may have made a slight technical error in angering the Sunshine God.

Thunderbolt Smith: Slight technical error my ass, he done *BLEEP*ed up big time.

The Heartland Champion decides to take a powder. Rah’s not having it and yanks him back into the ring the hard way.

Rah lifts Ultratron-5.1 up by the throat. That induces Todd the Backstage Technician to climb into the ring with a steel chair. He whacks Rah in the back with said chair.

Big mistake.

Rah drops Ultratron-5.1 and turns to Todd. He grabs him – puts his head between his legs – lifts – and powerbombs him to the mat.

Thunderbolt Smith: Eye of RAHHHH! to Todd the Backstage Technician!

Ultratron-5.1’s seen enough. He scrambles out of the ring and sprints for the stage.

The spotlight turns on the stage. The crowd roars with the light shows a slightly disheveled, but most definitely angry, Dawn McGill choking the life out of Poison Penny with a piece of rope.

Thunderbolt Smith: SHE’S BACK!

Ultratron-5.1 stops in his tracks.

Then Dawn’s husband and manager of the Kings of Old School Jackson Horne comes shooting out from the back and he’s coming for the Heartland Champion.

Ultratron-5.1 makes a snap decision. He climbs over the barricade and runs for his life through the crowd.

Referee Brent Payson counts him out and that’s the end of that.

Kimber Marshall: Your winner at two minutes and seven seconds via countout- RAHHHHHHHH!

Thunderbolt Smith: Rah will get the win but Ultratron-5.1 will hold on to the Heartland Title. Main Event coming up right after these messages.

Kimber Marshall: …they are – THE MISSOURI VALLEY FIGHT CLUB!

Davisson and McDermott fist bump and then they take off towards the ring.

Thunderbolt Smith: Corrina Romanov will be the referee. Rick, these are two team who aren’t afraid to mix it up.

Rick Hall: Absolutely. Grinding out results is the hallmark of how the Missouri Valley Fight Club does business.   But Backman Taylor Powerdrive are just as ready and willing to jump into the muck and slog out a result. The difference to me is Carrieanne McDermott and her ability to get an opponent on the match and squeeze the life out of them on the deck. McDermott can fight and brawl but her technical prowness is what makes the MVFC the great team they are.

Thunderbolt Smith: And here we go – for the title. Again, HOTv will stay with this match until it ends.

Davisson and Backman begin. They lock up and jockey for position.

Backman works a side headlock. Davisson counters so Backman grounds things. She tries to put Davisson is a bow and arrow but Davisson escapes.

Backman hits the head scissors takedown. She goes to stomp on Davisson but she’s not there.

Both back up. They work into a standoff.

Backman and Davisson nod. Taylor and McDermott both tag in.

Taylor looks to lock up. McDermott grounds her and tries to slip on a cloverleaf. Taylor rolls out. She attacks the knee. Then a dropkick. Backman tags back in.

Backman charges in. McDermott fights her off. She hits a dropkick and backs up Backman. McDermott hits a second dropkick and tags Davisson back in. Davisson turns and says something to McDermott.

Backman slips in and rolls Davisson up.

Rick Hall: Davisson made a classic blunder there. She turned away from Charlene Backman for a split second and we nearly had new champions.

Backman follows with kicks. Taylor in and they work double team on Davisson. Davisson is whipped into the ropes and gets whapped with a double dropkick. Backman follows with a springboard splash. She hooks the legs.

Davisson kicks out.

Thunderbolt Smith: Backman Taylor Powerdrive believe they may have the women’s tag belts within their grasp.

Rick Hall: They aren’t there yet.

Backman keeps Davisson grounded and tags Taylor back in. Taylor hooks the leg.

Two…Davisson kicks out.

Backman in. Double team whip to the ropes and Backman and Taylor hit a big shoulder tackle. That finally brings McDermott back in. She works over Taylor in the ropes. Backman and Davisson exchange chops.

Thunderbolt Smith: Romanov is trying to get the non-legal women out of the ring and she’s having one hell of a time doing so.

Rick Hall: Two big bruising tag teams are going to be hard to manage- no matter what.

Finally, Taylor and Davisson engage again.

Davisson and Taylor whip each other around in an extreme country hoedown. Davisson pokes the eyes and tags McDermott back in. McDermott goes top rope and takes Taylor down with a missile dropkick. Backman in. Davisson turns and takes her out with a back fist – snap slam combination. McDermott cradles Taylor for the pin.

Two- Taylor kicks out.

Now McDermott on the ascendency. She transitions into a scorpion deathlock and wrenches it down on Taylor.

Thunderbolt Smith: This is where Carrieanne McDermott is deadly.

Rick Hall: She has mastered so many of these submission holds that she can call on them at any time she wants.

McDermott transitions into a Muta lock. Taylor desperately tries to escape.

Thunderbolt Smith: Now BTP find themselves on the ropes.

Rick Hall: This is not where they want to be.

Romanov asks if she wants to quit. Taylor says ‘hell no.’

Davisson in and lays the boots to Taylor. Again, Backman jumps in but Romanov orders both Davisson and Backman out of the ring.

Taylor battles to stay in. Backman shouts out encouragement. McDermott persists with the Muta Lock. She goes to slip on her finisher- the Indian Deathlock and that allows Taylor to escape.

Thunderbolt Smith: She gets away!

Taylor hot tags Backman back in.

Rick Hall: McDermott tried one move too many and here comes Charlene Backman!

Backman decks McDermott. Davisson in- Backman decks her. Backman turns and hits a springboard high cross on McDermott and hooks the legs.

Two…Davisson makes the save.

Taylor back in and she clips Davisson’s leg out from under her.

Backman situates herself behind McDermott – she hits the backstabber. Cover.

T-NO! McDermott just kicks out.

Taylor tags back in. She hits an enziguri and McDermott is in big trouble. Backman and Taylor double team follows- double suplex plants the Scot on her back. Taylor with a lateral press.

T-NO! Again, Davisson in the ring and makes the save.

Thunderbolt Smith: Incredible back and forth action.

Rick Hall: Thundebolt, Backman Taylor Powerdrive are going for broke here. Can they do it?

Taylor dumps Davisson out of the ring. McDermott looks to tag out but Davisson’s on the floor.

Taylor tries to set McDermott for the Sledgehammer DDT – McDermott counters and she dumps Taylor out of the ring. Backman runs in – McDermott suplexes her and collapses to the mat.

McDermott rolls over and covers Backman- but she’s not the legal woman in.

McDermott pulls herself up and confronts Romanov. Taylor back in. She scoops McDermott from behind and rolls her backwards.

Two- McDermott kicks out and rolls out of the ring.

Thunderbolt Smith: Brianna Taylor is frustrated. BTP keeps coming close but they can’t put the champions away.

Rick Hall: That’s why The Missouri Valley Fight Club are the champions.

Everyone takes a quick breath.

McDermott and Davisson chat on the floor. Backman and Taylor confer in their corner.

Romanov begins a ten count on McDermott.

Thunderbolt Smith: The Women’s Tag Team Champions find themselves in a dogfight here tonight on Wrestling Night in the Heartland.

Rick Hall: Harley Davisson’s had an off night. Backman and Taylor are working well together. Who will find the final pinning solution to finish off the other team?

McDermott back in. She immediately tags Davisson in.

Taylor slaps Backman’s hand and tags her in.

Backman charges in for the spear. Davisson sidesteps – takes Backman down with a drop toehold.

Quick rollover.

Two…Backman kicks out.

Davisson waits as Backman gets back to her. *CRRACK*

Thunderbolt Smith: SUPERKICK!

Rick Hall: Harley Davisson set her up and nailed her on the jaw.

Backman drops to the mat. Davisson pounces. She rains down right hands. Cover.

Two- Taylor makes the save.

Thunderbolt Smith: Brianna Taylor keeps BTP in the match.

Rick Hall: Here comes McDermott!

McDermott in and takes Taylor out with a forearm shot to the face and it breaks down again.

Davisson cradles Backman again.

Backman just kicks out.

This time, Davisson just waits.

Thunderbolt Smith: Davisson’s setting her up for the Kick Start!

Rick Hall: If she hits this, it’s over.

Backman staggers back to her feet. Davisson lines her up – snatches her and drapes Backman across her shoulder. Davisson falls back and boots Backman in the head.

Thunderbolt Smith: GAME OVER!

Kimber Marshall is in the ring.

Thunderbolt Smith: Once again, The Missouri Valley Fight Club fend off the challenge and remain the Missouri Valley Wrestling Women’s Tag Team Champions!

Rick Hall: Backman Taylor Powerdrive came out with a good gameplan but this is why Davisson and McDermott have ruled the women’s tag team division. They are a very good tag team who complement each other really well.

Thunderbolt Smith: That’s going to do it for this week. Next week in Chicago, we’ve got THREE title matches on hand. Rick?
