8/11-MVW’s Wrestling Night in the Heartland

Thunderbolt Smith (narration): Last week, Missouri Valley Wrestling said farewell to the Queen.

Thunderbolt Smith (narration): No no no, we’re not talking about High Octane Wrestling’s ‘Queen of the Ring’ Lindsay Troy- even though both HOW and MVW can now be seen on HOTv.

(shameless plug for HOTv)

Dawn McGill
Dawn McGill

Thunderbolt Smith: No no no, not the recently retired ‘Six Foot Demolition Machine in a Short Skirt’ Dawn McGill who is now taking on a new role of being Jackson C. Horne’s wife.

Jill Berg
Former MVW CEO Jill Berg

Thunderbolt Smith (narration): THAT’s the one. ‘The Phenomenon Known as’ JILLLLL-BERGGGGGG! Last week on MVW’s Wrestling Night in the Heartland, Jill Berg signed off as the CEO of Missouri Valley Wrestling and turned the reigns over to…

(REPLAY: Last Week’s Show)

On the floor, both ‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann and CSPN CEO Mark Splitter wait anxiously.

Jason Carmondy steps forward.

Jason Carmondy: So, without any further ado. We are proud to announce that the new CEO of Missouri Valley Wrestling is…MR. M-

Carmondy doesn’t get the rest of the name out before a thunderous explosion of boos fill the arena.

Mr. McMann, very pleased and smiling, raises his arms in the air. He begins to take a victory lap around the ring. He doesn’t see-

Johnny Suave: Hold on! Why is Ray McAvay climbing into the ring?

McAvay, dressed in a dark Hawaiian print shirt and jeans with tennis shoes, calmly slides in between the ropes and walks over to Berg and Carmondy.

McMann finally sees him and stops.

Jill Berg: That’s right! Mr. Ray McAVAY!

The boos do a 180 into cheers.

McMann’s jaw drops.

Splitter’s face turns beet red. He’s spitting pissed off.

McAvay pumps his fist in the air as the crowd continues to signal its approval.

Ray McAvayLaura Bergman
MVW CEO Ray McAvay        MVW CBO Laura Bergman

Thunderbolt Smith (narration): Long live the Queen. Welcome to the new King of Missouri Valley Wrestling and MVW’s new Chief Business Officer Laura Bergman. Ray McAvay’s appointment came as a surprise to many people but no one was as surprised and shocked as…

(REPLAY: Reaction of ‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann to McAvay’s Appointment)

Mr. McMann’s jaw drops.

He just stands there- totally stunned and in disbelief. Why? Because McMann believed he had this in the bag.

Thunderbolt Smith (narration): McMann’s reaction was mild compared to Mark Splitter’s.

(REPLAY: Reaction of CSPN CEO Mark Splitter)

MVW backstage interviewer Kirsten Canfield talks to CSPN CEO Mark Splitter with CSPN reporters Reese Anderson and Rebecca Morris standing beside him.

Kirsten Canfield: Mark? Your thoughts-

Mark Splitter: *BLEEP* you. *BLEEP* Jill Berg. *BLEEP* Ray McAvay. *BLEEP* this *BLEEP*-ing place. *BLEEP* the whole *BLEEP*-ing lot of you. CSPN is LEAVING Missouri Valley Wrestling and we’re never, EVER coming back into this *BLEEP*-hole.

Splitter stomps off with Anderson and Morris in tow.

Thunderbolt Smith (narration): So now tonight under new management, Missouri Valley Wrestling presents Wrestling Night in the Heartland.

Missouri Valley Wrestling
MVW’s Wrestling Night in the Heartland
Sunday August 11th, 2019
Taped at MVW Television Studios
St. Louis, Missouri

Announcers: Thunderbolt Smith and ‘Long Haul’ Rick Hall
Backstage Interviewer: Kirsten Canfield

Thunderbolt Smith and Rick Hall start the show behind the official MVW broadcast desk at ringside with the three hundred people inside the MVW Television Studios cheering in the background.

Thunderbolt Smith: Good evening everyone and welcome to MVW’s Wrestling Night in the Heartland- we are bringing minor league pro wrestling to the American Heartland. I am Thunderbolt Smith.

Thunderbolt points to himself.

Thunderbolt Smith: He is ‘Long Haul’ Rick Hall.

Thunderbolt points to Hall next to him.

Rick Hall: Hey.

Thunderbolt Smith: Tonight, we are one week past MVWA 92. Last week, we saw two new champions get crowned including a record setting SIXTH tag team title for Angels of Death.

Rick Hall: Thunderbolt, last week Angel Scott and Angel Casey turned back the clock a few years and put on one hell of a performance to dethrone the Missouri Valley Fight Club and win the Women’s Tag Team Title.

Thunderbolt Smith: Angels of Death won gold at MVWA 92, so did this man…or robot…or whatever you want to call him.

(REPLAY: HEARTLAND TITLE MATCH: Jack Fraiser © vs. ‘The New Age Cybertronic Criminally Insane Rogue Sentient Robot Wrestling Machine’ Ultratron-5.1)

Ultratron-5.1’s valet Delaney Foster has draped Fraiser’s Oootlander Blaire Rendell over the steel barricade and slapped on the figure four leglock causing severe pressure on the Oootlander’s knee.

Fraiser stands up and goes over to the ropes. It looks like he is about climb out of the ring to come to her rescue but then Ultratron-5.1 blasts him from behind.

Ultratron-5.1 lifts Fraiser up- face-up across both shoulders- falls sideways- flips Fraiser’s legs over with the other- drives them down to the mat face-first.

Rick Hall: Jack Fraiser’s Oootlander Blaire Rendell underwent knee surgery- here in 2019, not back in 1946, after Delaney Foster’s barricade-aided figure four. But give it up for ‘The New Age Cybertronic Criminally Insane Rogue Sentient Robot Wrestling Machine.’ He said he was going to do it and he did.

Thunderbolt Smith: Also last week, three big number one contender’s matches. The Southern Boys ‘Dastardly’ Dave Miller and ‘Dangerous’ Dan Williams end up having a great night.

(REPLAY: Tag Team #1 Contender’s Match: Kings of Old School vs. The Southern Boys vs. Rah/Ray McAvay)

Williams whips Gibson-Lane to the barricades and then posts him. He’s down to a knee. The Foul Pole follows with uppercuts. Williams avoids and fires back. He throws The Foul Pole over the barricade deep into the crowd. He then posts the knee of Gibson-Lane on the steel barricade.

Referee Brent Payson starts a count. Gibson-Lane can barely move. Miller is in the ring and waiting.

Horne tries to sneak in and attack Miller. He gets caught when General DeBauchery double axe handles Horne from behind and Miller makes him pay. Piledriver leaves Horne in a heap in the middle of the ring.

Payson hits five.

Gibson-Lane tries to stand. His knee gives out and he falls to the floor.

Payson reaches ten and calls for the bell.

Thunderbolt Smith: The Southern Boys will now have their rematch with Corporate World, Inc. for the MVW Tag Team title at the Hulman Center in Terre Haute, Indiana on August 17th. Next up…

(REPLAY: Women’s #1 Contender’s Match: ‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan vs. Christa Carmondy)

The Hansons were spoiling for a fight since the opening bell. They almost went after Carrigan when she followed Carmondy to the floor.

Finally Carmondy, who’d caught her stride in the match and was putting together a nice stretch of moves to frustrate Carrigan, whipped her opponent into the ropes. Both Andrea and Melissa whacked Carrigan in the back with their hockey sticks and knocked her out.

Unfortunately, referee Ron Martin saw everything and immediately disqualified Carmondy. He called for the bell and Kimber came into the ring to make the announcement.

Thunderbolt Smith: Christa Carmondy came out on fire but Sheline Carrigan gradually wore her down.

Rick Hall: Yep. Now it’s going to be Carrigan versus Champion Lisa Barbosa-Stevens on August 24th from the Vadalabene Center in Edwardsville, Illnois for the title.

(REPLAY: MVW #1 Contender’s Match: ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson vs. William Daniels Bryan)

Bryan follows with the flying clothesline and covers.   Dickinson powers out at 1. Bryan tries to attack the knees with dropkicks. He goes to whip Dickinson to the ropes. Dickinson reverses and DDT’s him. Cover…1…2…Bryan kicks out.

Bryan goes for a missile dropkick and misses. He lands on the mat awkwardly. Dickinson goes top rope and hits a double stomp. Cover…1…2…Bryan gets the shoulder up barely.

Now limping, Bryan tries to roll out of the ring. Dickinson pulls him back – spin – belly to belly suplex. Then he drags Bryan up again – sets- Power Bomb! Cover…

THREE! Keels calls for the bell. Kimber Marshall rolls into the ring.

Thunderbolt Smith: Bill Dickinson with a convincing win over William Daniels Bryan and he will face MVW Champion Charlie Blackwell on August 31st in Omaha, Nebraska for the title.

Thunderbolt Smith: And welcome back to Wrestling Night in the Heartland. Rick, let’s run down tonight’s card.

Rick Hall: Thunderbolt, J.J. ‘The Bear’ Bittinger will make his Missouri Valley Wrestling debut tonight. We will see the young Japanese up and coming star Shizuko Yamazaki in action against a returning Natasha ‘The Black Widow’ Littell and The Kardoucheian Empire will kick off our show in just a couple minutes. The Kings of Old School with Jackson C. Horne will feature in our main event against the Georgia-Florida State Boundary.

Thunderbolt Smith: Also, new MVW CEO Ray McAvay will speak tonight right here on Wrestling Night in the Heartland. Let’s go to the ring for our first match.

MATCH ONE: The Kardoucheian Empire vs. Bob Zardoz and Mr. Wrestling XXXIV

The Kardoucheian Empire
Ken Kardoucheian
AGE: 29 / HT: 6′ 3″  WT: 223 / HOME: Hollywood, CA
ALIGN: 95% Heel / STYLE: Hollywood / FIN: Hollywood Blockbuster
Koley Kardoucheian
AGE: 27 /HT: 6′ 2″  WT: 235 / HOME: Hollywood, CA
ALIGN: 95% Heel / STYLE: Hollywood / FIN: Tour of the Islands (Jeff Cobb finisher)
with Kourtney Kardoucheian
MGR: Kris Kardoucheian

Referee Brent Payson checks both teams for any foreign objects.

Thunderbolt Smith: The Kardoucheians returned to MVW two weeks ago and tried to ruin Dawn McGill’s retirement party.

Rick Hall: And it didn’t exactly go to plan.

(REPLAY: Dawn McGill vs. Khris Kardoucheian- two weeks ago)

Referee Davey Keels runs down and calls for the bell.

Ken, Koley, and Kourtney Kardoucheian rush the ring.

Ken, Koley, and Kourtney hit the ring.

Ken blasts Jill Berg from behind. He throws her out of the ring.

Keels immediately calls for the bell.

WINNER: Dawn McGill @ :05

Koley low bridges Regina McGill. Kourtney assists with tossing her out of the ring.

Tessa Martin gets a shot in on Ken. But Koley swoops in and takes a full nelson on her. Kourtney then throws a right hand that doubles the ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ over. Koley throws Tess out of the ring.

Meanwhile, Dawn is bludgeoning the hell out of Khris Kardoucheian with her heels. His face is a crimson mask from a huge gash below his eye where the heel pierced the skin.

Thunderbolt Smith: So the Kardoucheians are back and we’re also getting our first look here at Bob Zardoz. His wrestling attire is…interesting.

Bob Zardoz

Rick Hall: Interesting indeed. It’s feels like something from some obscure, cult-like 1970’s movie.

What Happened?
Ken and Koley work over Zardoz early on and keep Mr. Wrestling XXXIV out of the ring. Koley and Zardoz lock up again. Koley looks to overpower him and they work to the ropes. Payson calls for a break Koley appears to offer a clean one but then lands a boot to the gut.  Snap mare takedown by Koley and cover…1…2…kick out. Test of strength next. Koley takes control. Zardoz takes a short-cut of his own and rakes the eyes. He dives and tags in Mr. Wrestling XXXIV. He fires up and decks Koley. Ken in- he gets decked. Mr. Wrestling XXXIV uses his vast ring experience to work the arm. Koley counters out though and tags Ken.

Ken picks up the pace and takes a side headlock. Another counter by Mr. Wrestling XXXIV but Ken back kicks him in the groin follows with a tackle. Cover…1…2…shoulder up but Ken pops back up and follows with a hurricanrana. He attacks the knee with the dragon screw and takes Mr. Wrestling XXXIV back down. Ken focuses on the knee and keeps Mr. Wrestling XXXIV on the ground. Zardoz urges his tag team partner on. Ken turns it into a deathlock. Mr. Wrestling XXXIV makes the ropes and Payson calls for the break.

Turning Point?
Later on, Zardoz counters a sling blade attempt by Ken. He tries to hit a Spanish fly. Ken evades and heads up top. Shooting star press!  Cover…1…2…kickout and that was close! Ken spikes Zardoza with the Hollywood Blockbuster. Cover…1…2…3- NO 2.9! Great near fall and Ken can’t believe it.

Koley tags in and he’s fired up. Zardoz tries desperately to go for the knockout punch. Koley counters into a sling blade. Sling blade number two and cover…1…2…kickout by Zardoz. Koley pulls him up and towards him – picks him up and spins Zardoz around one way – stops – spins him the other way and plants him hard on his back.

Thunderbolt Smith: Zardoz just took a Tour of the Islands from Koley Kardoucheian and that should do it.

Payson in for the count.

THREE! Payson calls for the bell.

WINNER: The Kardoucheian Empire @ 6:15 (edited to 5:15 for television)

Backstage interviewer Kirsten Canfield climbs into the ring for a quick interview.

Kirsten Canfield
HT: 5’ 7” WT: 95 / HOME: Wichita, KS

She goes over to Khris Kardoucheian.

MGR: Kris Kardoucheian
AGE: 53 / HT: 6’ 4” WT: 232 / HOME: Hollywood, CA
ALIGN: 95% Heel

Kirsten Canfield: Khris Kardoucheian. Two weeks ago, the Kardoucheian Empire returned to MVW. Why are you back and what do you hope to accomplish?

Khris Kardoucheian: Well Miss Canfield – can I call you Miss Canfield?

Kirsten nods yes.

Khris Kardoucheian: I’ll call you whatever I damn well please. Why? Because I’m a *BLEEP*-ing star and you’re not. The Kardoucheian Empire are ALL stars and we’ve come back to get the respect that we deserve. The Kardoucheians have been disrespected all through their MVW careers and we will put a stop to it. Now that the resident trailer trash has finally been taken out.

Kirsten Canfield: Dawn McGill?

Khris Kardoucheian: OF COURSE, I’m talking about Dawn McGill. Now that she’s been driven out of MVW, the Kardoucheians are going on record as saying if you disrespect us – if you don’t give us the respect that we deserve – we will take you down. Count on it.

The Kardoucheians depart.

Kirsten Canfield: Back to you Thunderbolt.

Cut back to the broadcast desk..

Thunderbolt Smith: Well, the Kardoucheians haven’t changed much since their departure.

Rick Hall: That’s really not a surprise Thunderbolt.

Thunderbolt Smith: Nope. Not really.

MVW Champion Charlie Blackwell stands in front of a wall with Missouri Valley Wrestling logo hanging up behind him.

Charlie Blackwell: Bill Dickinson is a tough, tough man. I think he presents a-

Kirsten squeals when Blackwell is suddenly tackled by someone rushing onto the shot.

The man stands up.

It’s NOT Dickinson.

Johnny Suave: HOLY CRAP! That’s…Appalachian Mountain Championship Wrestling Champion J.J. Bittinger! What is he doing here?

J.J. ‘The Bear’ Bittinger
AGE: 29 / HT: 6′ 4″ WT: 265 / HOME: Cherokee, NC
ALIGN: 83% Heel / STYLE: Power / FIN: Bear Hug

He’s laying a beat down on Charlie Blackwell, that’s what. Bittinger flails away with both hands on the helpless Blackwell.

Security arrive and they dive in to separate the two men.

Charlie Blackwell: Oh. That guy. Well J.J.? Here’s a word of advice. You’ve heard of the saying ‘don’t poke the bear?’ I’ve got another one. ‘The Bear shouldn’t poke the Missouri Valley Wrestling Champion. Especially if he doesn’t know if he can back it up or not. You just arrived from Appalachian Mountain Championship Wrestling where you were the champion there but you haven’t proved anything here yet, J.J.

Blackwell points at the title belt.

Charlie Blackwell: Until you do, I really don’t have anything more to say to you.

Kirsten Canfield has newcomer J.J. ‘The Bear’ Bittinger with her.

Kirsten Canfield: J.J. First off, welcome to Missouri Valley Wrestling and why did you attack Charlie Blackwell at MVWA 92?

J.J. Bittinger: I like a woman who gets to the point. Thank you and because I wanted to make a point Kirsten and what better way to do so than the top dawg in this here company. You see, I’m used to being that top dawg.

Kirsten Canfield: You were the champion at Appalachian Mountain Championship Wrestling.

J.J. Bittinger: You betcha I was. They brought me in here to make my mark, an impact, and that’s exactly what I did.

Bittinger turns and talks to the camera.

J.J. Bittinger: Charlie Blackwell. I know I’m not gonna get a title shot right away. But know this, son. I’ve put you on notice that I’m coming. Or as they say in that movie a few years back – you ain’t seen bad yet, but it’s coming. Blackwell, I’ll see you soon.

Bittinger leaves.

Kirsten Canfield: That’s all from here. Let’s go back to Thunderbolt and Rick. Guys?

Cut back to the broadcast desk.

Thunderbolt Smith: Well, Mr. Bittinger knows how to make an entrance, that’s for sure.

Rick Hall: Yes he does. But he’s realistic in that he knows he’s going to have to work his way up.

Thunderbolt Smith: J.J.’s in action here next. Let’s go to the ring.

MATCH TWO: J.J. Bittinger vs. The Order Taker
Bittinger stretches out in his corner.

The Order Taker- dressed in a standard fast food uniform.

J.J. ‘The Bear’ Bittinger
AGE: 29 / HT: 6′ 4″ WT: 265 / HOME: Cherokee, NC

ALIGN: 99 % Face / STYLE: Entertainer / FIN:

He takes the microphone from Kimber Marshall.

The Order Taker: I’ve got just one thing to say to all you people.

He pauses for a couple beats.

Thunderbolt Smith: Yeah, I’ve given up on fries myself.

Rick Hall: Diets suck.

Referee Ron Martin is ready and calls for the bell.

Thunderbolt Smith: There’s the bell and here we go.

What Happened?
Bittinger comes out and displays his strength, powerbombing The Order Taker not once, not twice, but THREE times in the first minute of the match. Then he lays the boots in on the poor Order Taker and flings him head first into the turnbuckle.

Turning Point?
The bell rang to start the match. And the power slam Bittinger delivered in the second minute of the match.

Bittinger pulled The Order Taker up. Wrapped his arms around him. Lift. Squeeze.

Thunderbolt Smith: BEAR HUG!

It doesn’t take long for the Order Taker to tap.

WINNER: J.J. Bittinger @ 1:48

Cut back to the broadcast desk..

Thunderbolt Smith: Well then. He didn’t waste much time there no, did he?

Rick Hall: He’s strong. We knew that. But we’ll see what happens when J.J. gets in there with someone who has more technical ability than the Order Taker.

Thunderbolt Smith: Impressive opening win for J.J. Bittinger here tonight on MVW’s Wrestling Night in the Heartland.

In the dressing room, The Southern Boys: ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson, ‘Dastardly’ Dave Miller, ‘Dangerous’ Dan Williams and the newcomer to the group- General DeBauchery guzzle down beers and peel off the labels.

DeBauchery is the one who talks. General DeBauchery- who looks like a bizarre combination of the AWA’s Colonel DeBeers and Lt. Aldo from Inglorious Basterds, sporting a black captain’s hat right out of World War II, smoking a cigar and grinning obnoxiously, walks out first.

The camera zooms in on General DeBauchery.

General DeBauchery: You probably heard we ain’t in the take no prisoner-takin’ business like usual wrasslers; we in the killin’ brewskis business…

General DeBauchery takes a bottle of beer and chugs it down.

General DeBauchery: And cousin, Business is a-boomin.

They all clink together their bottles of beer and hand General DeBauchery the labels they’ve each peeled off.

General DeBauchery: August 17th. The Hulman Center. Terre Haute, Indiana. A date that will not live in infamy. The date of when the Southern Boys will win back the MVW Tag Team title. They didn’t bring General DeBauchery in to strategize. These boys know exactly what they’re doing out there. They brought me in to talk for them because they’re tired of talking and, besides, they’d would rather kick some ass out there and drink some beer in here. So Terre Haute, Indiana, if you want to watch MVW’s best tag team go out and reclaim their tag team titles, then we all encourage you to come on out to the Hulman Center on August 17th because the Southern Boys are going win themselves those belts back.

E.J. Flack, wearing his coaches headphones and wearing a jacket with ‘Narfle the Garthok’ on the front, does the speaking for the Canadian Cyborg.

Sometimes when you’re climbing life’s mountain and come up against insurmountable odds, you have to…

Flack pauses for dramatic effect.

E.J. Flack: …‘Narfle the Garthok! Edwardsville, Illinois. On August 24th, my wrestler – the ‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan will step into the ring against the Women’s Champion Lisa Barbosa-Stevens at the Vadalabene Center with one thing in mind and one thing only. She is going to –

Flack pauses and points to the crowd.

E.J. Flack: That’s right. The reason Sheline signed me to take care of all of her wrestling affairs is so she could get herself ready for this very moment. She told me ‘E.J. I want to train. I want to get in the best condition possible so when I step into that ring against Lisa Barbosa-Stevens I am in the best possible frame of mind to win the Women’s title.’ Sheline is the Canadian Cyborg. She’s been the champion before and you can take this to the back- Lisa’s going to have to bring her best to the ring with her on August 24th in Edwardsville, Illinois if she has any chance of hanging to that belt.

Flack pauses one last time and then…

Flack points to the crowd.

Cut back to the broadcast desk.

Thunderbolt Smith: You think Sheline Carrigan’s ready for Lisa Barbosa-Stevens?

Rick Hall: Oh, I think she’s ready for her.

Thunderbolt Smith: We’re going to hear from the Women’s Champion in just a few minutes. MVW CEO Ray McAvay is here and he will also talk to us. We’ll be back with more right after these messages.

Kirsten Canfield: How did this happen- you and the Hanson Sisters reconciling?

Yosemite Samantha: I can tell you they weren’t happy working with Mr. McMann and the SEC.

Melissa Hanson (confirming the previous statement): Hell no.

Yosemite Samantha: So there was whatcha call a meeting. We threw our cards out right there at the table. And we fixed it.

Andrea Hanson: That’s right YS. You and me and the girls – we’re back on the same team. And we sent Christa Carmondy a message.

Charissa Hanson: The only thing bad about Christa Carmondy is her looks.

The other Hansons laugh.

Yosemite Samantha: Let me tell you this, you can’t start a fire without a spark. I’m healed up. I’ve got that spark again. I’ve got that itch to charge forward into the abyss again and go for that title. So it doesn’t matter who’s the champion when I get there. Lisa – Sheline – don’t care. Just know I’m going to be in the horizon soon enough and I’m riding for you.

Yosemite Samantha exits.

Andrea gets the final word.

Andrea Hanson: And the Hanson Sisters are going to be Women’s Tag Team champions soon!

Melissa Hanson: YEAH!

The Hansons leave.

Kirsten Canfield: Back to you Thunderbolt.

Cut back to the broadcast desk.

Thunderbolt Smith: The gang is back together and that can’t be good news for either Women’s division.

Rick Hall: If Yosemite Samantha is healthy, she’s going to be a force that will have to be dealt with.

Thunderbolt Smith: Again, MVW CEO Ray McAvay coming up in just a few, let’s go to the ring for our next match.

MATCH THREE: Shizuko Yamazaki vs. Natasha ‘The Black Widow’ Littell

Thunderbolt Smith: Shizuko Yamazaki did not wrestle at MVWA 92 but you can bet she’ll start making her move in the Women’s division soon.

Rick Hall: Thunderbolt, I can’t wait for the day where Yamazaki is facing the Yosemite Samanthas, the Sheline Carrigans, the Lani Harlots, and so on and it’s going to happen soon.

Thunderbolt Smith: But first, she needs to take care of business with Natasha Littell.

What Happened?
Unlike her other opponents Littell fearlessly attacks the Japanese rookie sensation. Yamazaki fires back and both women trade shot in the middle of the ring. Littell ducks a right hand and throws Yamazaki through the ropes to the floor. She tries to works her over but Yamazaki fights back and posts the Black Widow.

Both back in. Yamazaki hits a scoop slam and stands on Littell’s chest for a cover…1…Littell with the takedown and gets in cheap shots for good measure. Yamazaki powers out and hits out with clubbing strikes.  She whips Littell to the ropes and slaps on the nerve pinch on the return. Littell is in pain but she manages somehow to make the ropes. Littell attacks and goes for the slam. But she collapses and Yamazaki covers for 2. Yamazaki drops a couple elbows and covers again…1…2…kick out. She then misses an elbow drop when Littell alertly rolled away. Yamazaki presses on with strikes and then dropkicks the knee.

Littell drops to one knee and eats another dropkick- this one snaps her head back. Cover…1…2…NO! Littell gets the shoulder up.

Turning Point?
Littell up top and the double stomp connects. Yamazaki is in trouble. Cover…1…2…2.5…KICKOUT! Little goes for it. She tries to get Yamazaki in the Tarantula submission but at the last second, Yamazaki counters by kneeing Littell in the groin.

Littell doesn’t go away quite yet. Both women trade right hands. Littell tries to poke the eyes but Yamazaki lights her up with slaps and unloads a wicked right hand that staggers her. Yamazuki slaps the European clutch. Littell’s shoulders hit the mat…cover…1…2-shoulders back up. Then Yamazuki tries the Katahajime. Littell counters and tries again for the Tarantula. Yamazuki fights out and makes the ropes. Littell walks right into a kick. Set up. CRANIAL CONTUSION BY YAMAZUKI!

Romanov makes the academic pinfall.

THREE…she calls for the bell.   Kimber Marshall steps back into the ring.

Kimber Marshall: Your winner at eight minutes and thirty-six seconds- THE SHADOW WARRIOR – SHIZUKO YAMAZAKI! (Edited to 4:35 for television)

Romanov raises Yamazaki’s arm in victory.

Thunderbolt Smith: Natasha Littell came out and gave The Shadow Warrior a pretty good tussle there.

Rick Hall: Give her credit. She didn’t shy away from her. She fought her every step of the way. And Yamazaki’s quality was the difference in the match.

Thunderbolt Smith: Yamazaki with the win. Kirsten Canfield has Lisa Barbosa-Stevens with her and we’re going to hear from the MVW Women’s Champion right now. Kirsten?

Lisa Barbosa-Stevens is flanked by the Stevens Dynasty- Big George and Bo Stevens and Ted Tebow.

Lisa Barbosa-Stevens

Bo Stevens

George Stevens

Kirsten Canfield: With me now is the Women’s Champion. Lisa? You heard E.J. Flack’s comments earlier in the show.

Lisa Barbosa-Stevens: I did Kirsten. I understand what Sheline has done with E.J. Flack because I did the same thing bringing in Bo and George to be my bodyguards so Christa wouldn’t unleash the Hanson Sisters on me. I just have to worry about the match and getting ready. So my guess is when it’s time for Sheline and I to go – August 24th at the Vadalabene Center in Edwardsville, Illinois – then the good folks of Edwardsville and the St. Louis metropolitan area had better be there because I’m pretty certain that Sheline and I are going to put on a show for you folks.

Kirsten Canfield: Your thoughts on Carrigan as a wrestler?

Lisa Barbosa-Stevens: Kirsten, she’s good. I think I’m pretty good too. We’ll have to see what happens. I will go into the match confident of success, I’ll say that much.

Bo Stevens: She’s going to have BO-lief!

Ted Tebow drops to one knee and bows his head while placing his balled left fist against his forehead (aka…‘Tebows’) when Bo says BO-lief.

Kirsten Canfield: Any thoughts on Yosemite Samantha reteaming up with the Hanson Sisters?

Lisa Barbosa-Stevens: So far, Yosemite Samantha has been a lot of talk but not a lot of results. If she gets a title shot in the near future, I’ll worry about her then. The Hanson Sisters have steered clear of me since Bo and George came aboard so I’m not all that concerned about them either.

Lisa pauses for a couple beats and then continues.

Lisa Barbosa-Stevens: If the truth be known Kirsten, if I’m worried about anyone it’s Shizuko Yamazuki. She looks like she will be a challenger I’ll have to take very seriously when she gets here.

Kirsten Canfield: Thank you Lisa. Back to you Thunderbolt.

MVW CEO Ray McAvay, dressed in his usual dark Hawaiian print shirt and jeans, makes his way towards the arena hand in hand with his wife Stacee Perry (aka Dark aka One half of West Texas Adult Entertainment Legends Dark and Stormy), Paige Reynolds (aka Stormy aka the other half), Bert the Janitor, and his Deplorables. Also with him, Chief Business Officer Laura Bergman.

Thunderbolt Smith (voiceover): McAvay next.

Ray McAvay: Hello Missouri Valley Wrestling!

The fans inside the MVW Television Studio cheer.

McAvay paces back and forth as he speaks.

Ray McAvay: So. A funny thing happened on the way to reducing my pro wrestling schedule. Jill Berg made the announcement at MVWA 91 that she was going to step down at 92. Didn’t think much of it until I got a phone call from the owner of Missouri Valley Wrestling Jason Carmondy. Jason had been in contact with Laura here about taking over for Jill. Laura wasn’t sure she had enough experience to take over an entire company but was interested in handling the business end. So Jason popped the question to me about three weeks ago. I talked it over with my wife Stacee…

Dark curtseys.

Ray McAvay: …and then accepted the job. So this is how it’s going to work. I will focus on the wrestling end. You’ve already seen an influx of new talent in the past couple weeks- J.J. Bittinger is one who just debuted here earlier in the night. Laura’s going to handle the business end. As you’ve probably heard, Laura and I just dotted the ‘I’ and crossed the ‘T’ on the deal with HOTv. So everyone stand up and wave to the folks at HOTv.

And that’s what they do.

Ray McAvay: You’ve seen some of the outward changes we’ve planned as well. The end of the MVWA supershows. Three upcoming house shows will feature major title matches. We want to create more buzz and more traffic to the house shows. We will continue to tape in St. Louis every two weeks for the weekly television show and tape matches from the house shows to use for the show as well.

McAvay stops in the middle of the ring again.

Ray McAvay: The goal of what we are trying to do is simple- we want more people to see what the people back there…

McAvay points to the dressing room in the back.

Ray McAvay: …are doing out here because I think they’re doing one hell of a good job. Right?

The crowd stand up and cheer.

Ray McAvay: All right then. On with the show.

The lights immediately dim and then…

Gordon Guyko’s voice booms over the loudspeaker. “Greed. Greed is good. Greed is…really, really good.”

The ‘King of Greed’ Gordon Guyko and his Executive Assistant Melissa leads P.M.C. Banks and Kirk Walstreit out to the stage.

Gordon Guyko: Well well well. The Southern hicks are back and we’ll get to see them this Sunday at the Hulman Center in Terre Haute, Indiana. Here’s the thing guys. I didn’t get Kirk Walstreit- the Wall Street Market Analyst with the Man Crush on ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit’ and P.M.C. Banks out of their doldrums, back up the rankings, and win the title back from you to go to Terre Haute, Indiana and let a couple of inbred rednecks take our title.

Walstreit and Banks both shake their head no.

Gordon Guyko: This isn’t the old Walstreit and Banks. This is the new Walstreit and Banks. So let me relay a message back to the Southern Boys. The last time they wrestled the Southern Boys, Corporate World Inc. put an end to the Sports Entertainment Coalition. At the Hulman Center on August 17th, the result is going to be the same. This time, we’ll see if the egos of the Southern Boys are as fragile as the egos of Mr. McMann and Mark Splitter were.

Cut back to the broadcast desk.

Thunderbolt Smith: We are joined now by the NEW Missouri Valley Wrestling Women’s Tag Team Champions and SIX time MVW tag team champions overall- ‘The Terminatrix’ Angel Scott – ‘Ms. Lethal Weapon’ Angel Casey – Angels of Death!

Scott and Casey join Thunderbolt and Hall.

Thunderbolt Smith: Ladies, how does it feel to be six time champions?

Angel Casey: Well Thunderbolt, I think this win has to rank as the best one yet. We know we’re not at the top of the mountain any more. We know time is probably running out for us. And the women we defeated- the Missouri Valley Fight Club – who singlehandedly brought women’s tag team back onto the radar of MVW and dominated this division for six months, are one of the best teams we’ve gone up against, period.

Angel Scott: Amen to that, AC. There will never be a better feeling than having the Missouri Valley Wrestling Women’s tag title belt wrapped around our waists. Never.

Rick Hall: I guess the question is, how long can you two keep going? You’ve been a fixture in Missouri Valley Wrestling dating all the way back to the very beginning.

Angel Scott: As long as we can do it and wrestle at an acceptable level. Again, we know we’ve slowed down a bit. We know we have to wrestle smarter- that was the challenge with the Missouri Valley Fight Club. They’re in their prime. Both of them are running around with racing fuel in their veins.

Angel Casey: And we have to wrestle a much different match now. We have to – shudder – pace ourselves a little more.

Angel Scott: Speaking of Davisson and McDermott – they’ll get the first shot at the belts when we defend the title.

Rick Hall: August 16th in Effingham, Illinois.

Angel Casey: That’s right. So all you people in the Effingham area, if you want to see two of the best female pro wrestling tag teams in action…

Casey points at the tag team title belt around her waist.

Angel Casey: …fighting for these tag belts? Be there at the Effingham Performance Center August 16th because I guarantee this- you will get your money’s worth.

Angel Scott: Damn straight.

Thunderbolt Smith: All right, the new MVW Women’s Tag Team Champions- Angels of Death. Thank you ladies for coming out here.

Angel Casey: Thank you Thunderbolt.

Thunderbolt Smith: All right. We’ve got our main event coming up NEXT! Be back right after these messages.

Cut back to the broadcast desk.

Thunderbolt Smith: We are ready for our main event. Let’s go to the ring and Kimber Marshall.

MAIN EVENT: The Kings of Old School vs. Georgia-Florida State Boundary
Kimber’s in the middle of the ring and ready to go.

Kimber Marshall: Ladies and gentlemen. Tonight’s main event will be one fall.

Crowd: ONE fall!

Kimber Marshall: Introducing first.

“Hot Stuff”- Donna Summer

Legendary manager Jackson C. Horne comes out first holding up his golden cornet.

Horne holds the musical instrument for everyone to see while he heads down to the ring. He slides into the ring and goes right up to Kimber.

He asks for the microphone. She obliges.

Jackson C. Horne: Ladies and gentlemen! My name is Jackson C. Horne. I am proud to introduce to you the world’s greatest tag team- please welcome- BOBBY RICKY MICHAELS. MARTY GIBSON-LANE. The KINGS OF OLD SCHOOL!

Michaels and Gibson-Lane run out. They race down the aisle towards the ring.

Horne hands the microphone back to Kimber and waits for his charges to arrive in the ring.

Kimber Marshall: And their opponents…

“Up Down”- Morgan Wallen featuring Florida-Georgia Line

Kimber Marshall: Accompanied to the ring by the ‘Girl in a Country Song’ – LILLIE MAE!

Lillie Mae comes out first. She’s got a piece of straw sticking out of her mouth while wearing Daisy Duke shorts, an open shirt with a bikini top underneath, and carries a Yeti cooler with beer inside of it.

Then Skyler and Bryan walk out singing their latest pop country confection about partying on your pontoon boat around a campfire.

Skyler and Bryan continue to sing as they walk to the ring. They stop to dance in the aisle and allow Kimber to introduce them.

Kimber Marshall: Introducing – weighing in at a combined four hundred and sixty pounds. From Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee. SKYLER!

Lillie Mae poses in front of Skyler.

Kimber Marshall: And BRYAN!

Lillie Mae then poses in front of Bryan.

Skyler and Bryan start up singing again as they and Lillie Mae march to the ring.

The pair toss their mics down and hit the ring.

VALET: Lillie Mae

Thunderbolt Smith: All right. This will be our first look at the Georgia-Florida State Boundary and

Rick Hall: Hold that thought! The Kings of Old School have started the match before the bell!

Michaels and Gibson-Lane fly across the ring and start swinging away the second their opponents begin to climb through the ropes.

Referee Davey Keels calls for the bell.

Both teams continue to brawl in the ring.

Thunderbolt Smith: Well now we’re officially under way.

Rick Hall: There’s been some bad blood between these two teams Thunderbolt. The Kings of Old School have attacked the Georgia-Florida State Boundary at a few house shows. They do not appreciate their corporate pop-country sound it seems.

Thunderbolt Smith: Apparently, the Southern Boys don’t like it much either.

Keels finally clears the ring of two of the participants. It’s Bobby Ricky Michaels versus Skyler to start the match.

Both men trade strikes. Michaels grabs Skyler and head butts him.   Skyler wobbles a bit. Michaels sets and unleashes a drop kick sending Skyler to the deck. Michaels goes right for the cover.

Thunderbolt Smith: The Kings go for the quick pin and Jackson C. Horne approves.

Quick cut to Horne. He claps his hands.

Rick Hall: He just married Dawn McGill and they’re still technically on their honeymoon. He’ll approve of anything right now.

Michaels continues to work the knee. Skyler connects with a right and tries to get to the corner. His knee buckles and Michaels attacks focusing on the knee. Michaels continues to take apart the knee. Skyler tries to fight back. Michaels puts a stop to that and locks on the figure four. Bryan starts clapping to encourage his tag partner. Finally Skyler rolls the hold. Michaels frantically makes for the ropes. He gets there. The hold is broke. Both Michaels and Skyler tag out- Gibson-Lane and Bryan step into the ring.

Thunderbolt Smith: Good start for the Kings. But Skyler of the Georgia-Florida team did well to escape the figure four.

Rick Hall: Yeah I was impressed with that. Intense start from both teams. The Kings don’t like the Georgia-Florida State Boundary’s taste in music. Skyler and Bryan don’t like being sitting targets at house shows.

Gibson-Lane and Bryan lock up and work to the ropes. Keels calls for break. Gibson-Lane backs up but then smacks Bryan in the face. Bryan responds with a kick to the balls. Knee lift sends Gibson-Lane down. Hook the legs. Cover.

Thunderbolt Smith: Gibson-Lane got cute and it nearly cost them the match.

Rick Hall: The Kings of Old School can’t take these guys lightly.

Bryan follows up with chops. Gibson-Lane rakes the eyes and whips Bryan to the ropes. Shoulder tackle decks Bryan but he pops right back up. Second shoulder tackle- Bryan again right back up. Third shoulder tackle-NO! Bryan slides under – leaps on Gibson-Lane’s back. Pulls backward. BOOM!

Thunderbolt Smith: LUNGBLOWER!

Bryan for the cover.

Michaels in to make the save!

Rick Hall: That’s twice now that the Kings of Old School have got caught sleeping.

Gibson-Lane rolls out of the ring. Horne is livid and he lets both Michaels and Gibson-Lane have it at ringside.

Thunderbolt Smith: They’re talking but they don’t see Bryan climbing the top rope. INCOMING!

Bryan strikes with a senton bomb and wipes out all three men.

The crowd rises to their feet and applauds the young team.

Rick Hall: Horne needs to regroup his team and get their heads into the match or we’re going to see a big time upset here tonight.

Horne does exactly that. He again reads Michaels and Gibson-Lane the riot act- while keeping one eye out for any more incoming high flyers.

Bryan waits in the ring. Keels begins to count out Gibson-Lane.

Horne gives his wrestler his final instructions and Gibson-Lane beats the count without breaking a sweat.

Gibson-Lane tags Michaels back in. Michaels takes his time engaging Bryan.

Collar and elbow tie up. Side headlock by Michaels. Bryan escapes and sends Michaels to the ropes. Michaels mows him down on the return. He runs the ropes again. Bryan drops. Michaels hops over and gets clocked by Skyler who’s in the ring.   Keels chases him right out. Gibson-Lane tries to sneak in but Keels turns around and keeps him out. Bryan follows with elbow drops. Hooks the leg. Cover.

Michaels shoots the shoulder up.

Skyler tags in and starts off with a series of knee strikes. He goes for a suplex – Michaels reverses. Surprise roll up.

Skyler kicks out.

Michaels tags out- Gibson-Lane in. He grounds the action and lays in elbow strikes. Skyler slips out.

Horne now on the ring apron and he’s got the cornet in hand.

Skyler fires a right hand. Gibson-Lane back with a clothesline. He goes to lay the boots to him but suddenly ‘The Girl in a Country Song’ Lillie Mae is now on the ring apron in Gibson-Lane’s line of sight and she’s removing her shirt to reveal a bikini top underneath.

Gibson-Lane stops to look – Skyler recovers and goes low bridge. Gibson-Lane bent over. Skyler hits the draping neck breaker. Cover.

TH-NOOOOOOO! Gibson-Lane just kicks out.

Thunderbolt Smith: Wow! Lack of focus by Marty Gibson-Lane nearly cost the Kings of Old School the match!

Rick Hall: Oh I think he was focused Thunderbolt, just not on what he’s supposed to be focused on.

Thunderbolt Smith: Can the Georgia-Florida State Boundary do it? Can they win this match?

Skyler pulls Gibson-Lane up. He whips him to the ropes and sets for his finisher- The Grand Ole Opry Cutter. Gibson-Lane catches his boot on the return – spins Skyler 180 degrees – and pushes him towards Horne.

Skyler staggers back and turns and faces Gibson-Lane.

Thunderbolt Smith: GREEN MIST!

Skyler’s blinded. Gibson-Lane rolls him up.

Keels with the count.

Kimber rolls into the ring.

Kimber Marshall: Your winners at six minutes and thirty-seven seconds – THE KINGS OF OLD SCHOOL!

Horne in the ring and raises the arms of both Michaels and Gibson-Lane.

Skyler and Brian can’t believe they lost. But Lillie Mae comes over to console them so that makes it all better.

Rick Hall: Well, the Georgia-Florida State Boundary outwrestled the Kings of Old School but in the end, the Kings’s experience and guile steal them a win here tonight.

Thunderbolt Smith: All right. That is all the time we have here tonight. We’ll see you all next week for another edition of MVW’s Wrestling Night in the Heartland.
