7/21-MVW Paducah, KY House Show Report

Missouri Valley Wrestling House Show Report
Carson Center
Paducah, KY
Sunday July 21st, 2019

The final show of Missouri Valley Wrestling’s three night swing through Kentucky and Indiana stopped off several hundred miles more down the Ohio River for a Sunday matinee house show in Paducah, Kentucky.

After the events of the past two nights, MVW CEO Jill Berg came out and announced that she was giving both the Kings of Old School and the Southern Boys the ‘functional’ night off. The crowd murmured and seemed disappointed. Some booed. Berg then further explained: “What I mean is this- I know this match needs to happen. You know this match needs to happen. Both teams know this match needs to happen.” Berg paused. “But not tonight.” Groans. “You’re right, though. It’s not fair to a paying audience who came to see these two teams wrestle tonight. So functional night off means- both teams will steer clear of each other tonight. No contact. No one lays a hand on the other.”

Missouri Valley Wrestling Paducah, KY Results:
MATCH #1-Victoria McGill and Dawn McGill defeated Laney Harrison and MacLean Oswald- Tori pinned Harrison after hitting the McGill Bomb.
-Mother and daughter team up for this one as Tori continues to get valuable in-ring experience. Harrison and Oswald are also young wrestlers trying to learn their craft.

MATCH #2-Georgia-Florida State Boundary: Skyler and Bryan defeated ‘Your Idol…My Idol…’ Willie Idol and Bobby Starr- GFSB won when their valet Lillie Mae- the Girl in a Country Song started taking off her shirt and distracted Starr allowing Skyler to hit the Grand Olde Opry Cutter and then Bryan got the ‘That’s How We Roll You Up’ for the win.

Post-match- like they’d done the previous two nights, Skyler and Bryan started a song-a-long to their theme song ‘Up Down’. This time both the Kings of Old School (Bobby Ricky Michaels and Marty Gibson-Lane with Jackson C. Horne) and the Southern Boys (‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson, ‘Dastardly’ Dave Miller, and ‘Dangerous’ Dan Williams) came out to confront the corporate Pop-Country stars at the same time.

Awkward pause.

Then both teams turn and head back to their respective dressing rooms.

MATCH #3-Tom Smith ‘The World’s Most Uninteresting Man’ and the Couch Potato defeated Mr. Wrestling XXXIV and The Mononaghelian Stomper- Smith pinned the Stomper after hitting the Dull Roar.
-The Couch Potato spent much of the match scooping up all the Twinkies around the ring thrown at him a la the ROH streamers during his introduction.

MATCH #4-‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan and ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin defeated Miley Vyrus and ‘Queen of the Trailer Park’ Lani Harlot- Carrigan pinned Vyrus with the Canadian Destroyer.

MATCH #6- Christa Carmondy defeated ‘By the Book’ Tiana Walker with the Mean Girl Crush
-Good win for the former women’s champion.

Post-match: Yosemite Samantha storms the ring and decks Carmondy. This time, Carmondy grabs her by the leg before she can make her escape and the other Hanson Sisters arrive. Now, it’s a four on one beat down “The roughest, toughest, rootinest, shootinest cowgirl who ever crossed the Rio Grande.”

Then Carrigan runs down with Tessa Martin to even up the odds. Eventually, MVW referees and security restore order.

MATCH #7-‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson (Southern Boys) defeated Millennial Mark with the Powerbomb.
-Dickinson destroyed the poor millennial in forty-one seconds.

Post-match: Dickinson gets on the microphone and demands a title match against MVW Champion Charlie Blackwell. This time, the current #1 contender for the title William Daniels Bryan answers the call backed by the Deplorables. WDB says there’s only one problem with Dickinson’s demand- he’s still the guy and Dickinson is going to have to face him first.

Then ‘Starz and Stripes’ Kevin Scott comes out. He tells Dickinson that he needs to get by him just to get to Bryan. Now furious, Dickinson says he’ll take care of Bryan next week in Sioux City, South Dakota. And then at MVWA 92, it’s going to be him and Bryan for the #1 spot.

MATCH #8/NON-TITLE MATCH: MVW Tag Team Champions Corporate World, Inc.: Kirk Walstreit and P.M.C. Banks defeated Rough Justice: D.B. Ruff and Connor Justice- two former police officers fired for their extreme method of law enforcement- Walstreit pinned Justice with the Stock Market Plunge.
-Ruff and Justice’s associate Lt. Katrina Atcheson of the Kansas Highway Patrol goes to taser Walstreit late in the match. ‘King of Greed’ Gordon Guyko’s Melissa tackles her before she can do so. Then Walstreit finished Justice.
