7/20-MVW Evansville, IN House Show Report

Missouri Valley Wrestling House Show Report
The Ford Center
Evansville, IN
Saturday July 20th, 2019

Night two of Missouri Valley Wrestling’s three night swing through Kentucky and Indiana stopped off several hundred miles down the Ohio River for a Saturday night house show of at one of MVW’s main stops- The Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana featuring eleven- count ’em eleven matches on the card.

The Heartland and Women’s Tag Team titles were up for grabs. And then a special guest showed up out of the blue at ringside- High Octane Wrestling’s Gold Standard John Sektor.   Add to that an insanely wild main event featuring the feuding Kings of Old School and the Southern Boys with Ray McAvay and Rah along for the ride, and it ended up being a great night of wrestling action.

Missouri Valley Wrestling Evansville, IN Results:
MATCH #1-Georgia-Florida State Boundary: Skyler and Bryan defeated the French Connection: Jobber D’Hutt and obnoxious French sports talk show host Dan LeBasterd- GFSB won when their valet Lillie Mae- the Girl in a Country Song bent over to pick something up on the ring apron and distracted D’Hutt allowing Skyler to hit the Grand Olde Opry Cutter for the win.

Post-match- like they’d done the night before, Skyler and Bryan started a song-a-long to their theme song ‘Up Down’. Unlike last night when Kings of Old School (Bobby Ricky Michaels and Marty Gibson-Lane with Jackson C. Horne) ran out and attacked them, this time it was the Southern Boys (‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson, ‘Dastardly’ Dave Miller, and ‘Dangerous’ Dan Williams) who took offense at the corporate Pop-Country stars and laid them out in the ring.

MATCH #2-Ninja Kitty and Regina McGill defeated Gwen and Blake Varney- Ninja Kitty pinned Blake after hitting the Hurricanrana DDT.
-always a fun and entertaining match when Ninja Kitty is involved.

MATCH #3- Tom Smith ‘The World’s Most Uninteresting Man’ defeated Bob Zardoz with the Dull Roar.
-Again, not too many people were grossed out by the Zardoz.

MATCH #4- Yosemite Samantha defeated Miley Vyrus with the Shotgun Knee/Cannonball Combo.
-Yosemite Samantha is working herself back into shape and back into the Women’s title picture.

MATCH #5- Stan-The Applance Man of Truckin’ Average Company defeated The Couch Potato with the Spin Cycle.
-The Couch Potato was distracted throughout the match by someone in the front row who brought back from the concession stand an impressive array of food- none of it good for him.

MATCH #6- “The Shadow Warrior” Shizuko Yamazaki defeated ‘By the Book’ Tiana Walker with the Cranial Contusion
-this was a demolition.  Yamazaki destroyed Walker in about a minute twenty.

MATCH #7-The Hanson Sisters: Andrea and Melissa defeated ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris and ‘Former Hooter’s Waitress’ C.J. Lewis- Andrea pinned Lewis after Melissa chopped her down with a hockey stick.

Post-match, Yosemite Samantha storms the ring and decks Andrea Hanson before quickly making her escape with the other Hanson Sisters in hot pursuit.

MATCH #8/WOMEN’S TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Angels of Death: Angel Scott and Angel Casey defeated The Missouri Valley Fight Club: Harley Davisson and Carrieanne McDermott © via count-out
-this match was all over the place. At the end, Scott and Casey hit the Angel Death Drop on Davisson on the floor and knocked her out cold. McDermott tried to argue she was the legal woman in the ring. Referee Davey Keels saw different. The AoD made it back to the ring beat the count but Davisson did not. The AoD get the win. The MVFC retain the titles.

MATCH #9/HEARTLAND TITLE MATCH: Jack Fraiser © defeated ‘The New Age Cybertronic Criminally Insane Rogue Sentient Robot Wrestling Machine’ Ultratron-5.1 with a roll up.
-This match was already chaotic as it was fifteen minutes in with Fraiser’s Oootlander Blaire Rendell and Ultratron-5.1’s valet Delaney Foster getting involved in the match. Then the video screen fired up and there she was- Dawn McGill, stuck in 1946 at the stones on the hill of Irish na Dun. The match stopped and McGill basically told Ultratron-5.1 she was coming back to kick his ass. Ultratron-5.1 scoffed until McGIll suddenly appeared on stage returning to 2019, came to the ring, and kicked his ass.

MATCH #10/NON-TITLE MATCH: MVW Women’s Champion Lisa Barbosa-Stevens defeated ‘Queen of the Trailer Park’ Lani Harlot with the Toxic Sting
-Before the match, HOW wrestler John Sektor- in the front row watching the show- shouted out as Lisa came to the ring something to the effect that it was sad that she was a better wrestler than her husband- HOW/OCW/Defiance Wrestling’s Scott Stevens. Lisa flipped him off and simply climbed into the ring.

MAIN EVENT: ‘Red Solo Cup’ Ray McAvay and Rah defeated The Kings of Old School: Bobby Ricky Michaels and Marty Gibson-Lane and The Southern Boys: ‘Dastardly’ Dave Miller and ‘Dangerous’ Dan Williams via double count-out.
-This match was a cluster of epic proporation. Referee Davey Keels let it go for the most part as the Kings and the Southern Boys beat the ever-lovin’ crap out of each other for twenty-four minutes. At the end, The Kings and the Southern Boys got into a real scrap and brawled into the crowd leaving Rah and McAvay in the ring. McAvay popped open a beer and waited until Keels finally counted the other two teams out.

Also in the match, the Southern Boys’ ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson popped off to the aforementioned John Sektor at ringside and the two got into a verbal back and forth. Dickinson finally pushed the HOW wrestler and Sektor decked the 330 Pound Southern Brawler with a right hand. Cooler head prevailed after that and Sektor went to the back.
