AFTERMATH FOLLOWING MVWA 81
Following Missouri Valley Wrestling’s return show, new owner Jason Carmondy and his right hand person, CEO of Jill Berg Enterprises, and Corporate Predator Extraordinaire, Jill Berg pushed forward to make sure the first set of MVW house shows went off without a hitch. Making good on the eight shows that were cancelled in January, here is the March 2018 schedule of shows:
March 2nd – Shenandoah, IA
March 3rd – Des Moines, IA
March 4th – Oskaloosa, IA
March 16th – Sioux Falls, SD
March 17th – Kankakee, IL
March 18th – Valparaiso, IN
March 24th – Salina, KS
March 25th– MVWA 82 in Wichita, KS
At the first Shenandoah show, the Kardoucheian Empire made their MVW return and was immediately confronted by Phil Finebaum and the Sports Entertainment Corporation (SEC) and Corporate Sports(Entertainment) Programming Nation (CSPN) CEO Mark Splitter. Why?
MVW Sunday Night Wrestling- December 3rd, 2017
McMann is spitting mad. One, Dawn McGill was released from her MVW contract. Which means, two, the video tape of Ken Kardoucheian’s dream date with Dawn McGill that the SEC- through CSPN- paid two million dollars for didn’t achieve its desired result…Dawn McGill’s service to the SEC. McMann claimed that the video, while salacious and truly not Dawn McGill’s best moment, didn’t result in the outcome promised. McMann calls the ‘video’ typical Hollywood sleaze and demands a full refund.
Splitter then complains that as a result of this unscrupulous transaction, CSPN is going to have to lay off a lot of ‘little people who don’t make a lot of money anyways but we’ll cut them instead of our high priced talent’ from the company.
Khris Kardoucheian walks to ringside with his sons and blames both McMann and Splitter for not adequately having a plan put together regarding Dawn McGill before paying the two million dollars for the video.
Suffice to say, bygones were not bygones and the SEC still wants retribution for the loss of their two million dollars. The SEC made enough of a stink that Jill Berg booked the Kardoucheians versus the SEC for MVWA 82 to settle their differences in the ring.
In a rematch from MVWA 81, MVW Women’s Champion Lisa Barbosa-Stevens and Christa Carmondy battled each other in the non-title match/main event at the Sioux Falls, SD house show. Carmondy came out on top and Jill Berg wasted little time booking Barbosa-Stevens vs. Carmondy again for the women’s title at MVWA 82.
‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson suddenly found himself in a bitter war with none other than Canadian Jack Fraiser and his Oootlander. Fraiser, who’s been more of nothing much more than a bit player in MVW over the past year, asserted himself in Des Moines, Iowa when his Oootlander Blaire Rendell cost the Heartland Champion the match. That result set off a chain of events resulting in both men brawling with each other all over Iowa, South Dakota, Illinois, Indiana, and Kansas.
Weapons of Mass Destruction (A. Tom Bomb and Hy Drogen Bomb with Daisy Cutter-Bomb) faced off with the Island of Misfit Wrestlers (Rah and Halitosis with Regina McGill) in a series of matches to determine the next opponent for Tag Team Champions The Dork Dynasty (Leonard and Sheldon Robertson).
Still smarting from his loss to William Daniels Bryan at MVWA 81, Charlie Blackwell ended up in a mini-feud with ‘The Sunshine God’ (and good friend of Blackwell’s arch enemy Ray McAvay) Rah. Bryan headed towards a MVWA 82 title defense against the Beer Bellied Softball Playing Ninja’s Stan.
MVWA 82 Recap
March 25th, 2018
Jill Berg welcomes everyone to the show.
‘The Perpetual Hungry’ Couch Potato ambles to the ring. The fans greet him by doing their semi-traditional shower of Twinkies into the ring- like the wrestling tradition of throwing streamers into the ring before a match. MVW ring technicians quickly swooped in to clear the ring and fought Couch Potato in hand to hand combat for as many Twinkies as they could grab.
MATCH #1 “Mr. Hollywood” Kevin Daniels vs. Couch Potato
“Mr. Hollywood” toyed with the Perpetual Hungry for a couple minutes before getting down to business. Daniels gets the pinfall after hitting his version of the Hollywood Blockbuster.
MATCH #2 C.J. Lewis vs. Adrienne Banks
Lewis, the former Hooter’s waitress, returns to the win column with a win over Banks.
MATCH #3 Charlie Blackwell vs. Rah
With Ray McAvay on the shelf and unavailable, Blackwell and the Sports Entertainment Corporation took out some of his frustrations on the big Sunshine God. Charlie used his technical skills to negate Rah’s raw power and took the win with the Katahajime.
MATCH #4 / HEARTLAND TITLE MATCH: ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson © vs. Jack Fraiser with his Oootlander
Dickinson and Fraiser are not technical specialists inside the ring. Both men resorted to brawling throughout the match which plays right into Dickinson’s wheelhouse. Dickinson retains the title but not without a spirited fight from Fraiser.
MATCH #5 / TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Dork Dynasty: Sheldon and Leonard Robertson © vs. The Beer Bellied Softball Playing Ninja w/April O’Neale
In a clash of styles, Nerdy duck call, decoy fabricators and master’s students the Dork Dynasty used their scientific wrestling prowness to overcome the BBSPN and retain the belts.
MATCH #6 / MVW TITLE MATCH: William Daniels Bryan © vs, Stan
Bryan had little trouble dispatching the Beer Bellied Softball Playing Ninja’s Stan with the Cattle Mutilation.
MATCH #7 / SPECIAL ATTRACTION MATCH: Ken Kardoucheian vs. P.M.C. Banks of the Sports Entertainment Corporation
The first skirmish of the renewed hostilities between the Kardoucheian Empire and the SEC turned out to be exactly that- a skirmish. The match was thrown out rather quickly as the Kardoucheians and the SEC hit the ring and brawled.
MAIN EVENT / WOMEN’S TITLE MATCH: Lisa Barbosa-Stevens © vs. Christa Carmondy
For the second time in a month, Barbosa-Stevens and Carmondy will steal the night from the other wrestlers. For the second time this month, Christa Carmondy will win the match but not win the title. The Sports Entertainment Corporation, sensing that Christa was on the verge of winning the title, deliberately got Barbosa-Stevens disqualified by attacking Christa in the ring in order to preserve her title.
