Changes Aplenty with Wrestlers Coming and Going: 3/6-MVW Weekend House Show Report

Big returns marked the weekend in Missouri Valley Wrestling as several former wrestlers returned to the fold and debuted.

Lisa Barbosa-Stevens makes sure Christa Carmondy has a rough landing in their match Saturday night in Evansville, IN

The Paducah, Kentucky show kicked off with a triumphant ‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann in the ring heralding the addition of Angels of Death and the ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin to the Sports Entertainment Corporation. McMann said that in the corporate world sometimes you have to cut loose underperforming talent and that’s why the Bayless Twins and Daisy Cutter-Bomb were let go. He compared the SEC to the English Premier League’s Manchester United in that they have the means and the wherewithal to buy the best talent available.

McMann declared that once the AoD and Martin were properly ‘assimilated,’ the SEC would become unstoppable. He lamented Christa Carmondy’s tough loss to MVW Champion Sheline Carrigan but noted that Christa was one hundred and fifty percent committed to making the SEC the dominant force in Missouri Valley Wrestling. McMann signed off by stating that MVW- just like Dawn McGill found out the hard way last week- will realize that resistance is futile.

McMann: “Prepare to be assimilated.”

Dr. Annabel ‘From Hannibal’ Lecker defeated Gwen Varney @ 6:02
-the mercurial Dr. Lecker- who once famously tied a backstage reporter to a chair and forced her to watch an endless loop of Gilmore Girls reruns- made her MVW return with a victory over Varney.

The Young Guns (Bethany Stewart/Adrienne Banks/Andrea Allen) with “Disco Loving, Jet Setting International Playboy from the East” Sheik Yorbouti defeat Cheryl Parkman/Elaine Brazier/Tori Thomas @ 8:18
-the second return of the night- Sheik Yorbouti and his merry band of young and upcoming wrestlers. After delivering a workmanlike performance in dispatching Parkman, Brazier, and Thomas, Yorbouti and company danced in the ring to a stirring rendition of K.C. and the Sunshine Band’s ‘Shake Your Booty.’

Yosemite Samantha defeated Blake Varney @ 2:56
-“The roughest, toughest, rootinest, shootinest she-man hombre’ who ever crossed the Rio Grande” had no trouble at all getting past Varney.

‘Queen of the Trailer Park’ Lani Harlot defeated Kirsten Canfield (Main Street USA) via DQ at 10:16
-what had been a very strong match between Harlot and Canfield ended with the third return of the evening when ‘Argenta Rose’ Eva Perrin hit the ring and took out Harlot- rekindling a feud from last year.

Kathryn Randall Collins defeated Ninja Kitty @ 14:09
-the first meeting between the two provided a distinct clash of styles. KRC found it difficult to pin Ninja Kitty down and made the mistake of chasing her for much of the early part of the match. Once KRC took her ultra-swift opponent off her feet, she seized control of the match. KRC finished Ninja Kitty off with the Gogoplata to earn the win.

The Missouri Valley Fight Club (Harley Davisson/Carrieanne McDermott) defeated ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin/Prisoner #034291 (Sports Entertainment Corporation) via DQ @ 7:40
-not a return but a preemptive strike in this match as fellow SEC talent and MVW Tag Team champions Angels of Death ran in and attacked the MVFC mid-match.

Post-match, MVW Executive Director Jill Berg walked out and immediately booked the AoD versus Davisson and McDermott for the Evansville show the next night.

MAIN EVENT/HEARTLAND TITLE MATCH: Kari Ferguson © (Main Street USA) defeated Anna Conda @ 11:22
-another battle of styles. Anna fought hard to keep Kari grounded on the mat and in peril of her Anaconda Vise submission finisher for much of the match. Ironically, in the end, Ferguson’s Crossface Chickenwing submission hold settled matters and the Heartland champion again successfully defended the title.

(L to R) Adrienne Banks, Svetlana Kovaleski, Amie Velasco, C.J. Lewis

The second show of the weekend kicked off in rousing style with the return to MVW of Major Svetlana Kovaleski and former Hooter’s waitress C.J. Lewis in a raucous four way, falls count anywhere opening match.

C.J. Lewis defeated ‘Major’ Svetlana Kovaleski, Adrienne Banks, and “High Flying Intercontinental Flight Attendant” Amie Velasco @ 10:20
-wild action all over the ringside area. Kovaleski brought the steel chairs and a little street fighting into the mix but when the bell rang at the end it was Lewis who prevailed.

Post-match, Lewis was joined in the ring by Main Street USA’s (and MVW Champion) ‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan, ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris, Heartland Champion Kari Ferguson, and Kirsten Canfield and welcomed her into the fold. C.J. Lewis aligns herself with Main Street USA.

Ninja Kitty defeated Cheryl Parkman @ 6:47
-fan favorite Ninja Kitty used her superior speed and quickness to cause Parkman to chase shadows the whole match long.

The O’Neders (Rita and Anita) defeated The Korver Sisters (Korey and Kelly) @ 16:50

Rita O’Neder delivers the big boot to Korey Korver

-The O’Neders get their biggest MVW victory in some time as they isolated Kelly in the ring for long stretches of time before she finally got the hot tag to Korey. However, the O’Neders progressively wore down the Korvers and in the end hit ‘That Thing They Do’ to pick up the win.

‘Queen of the Trailer Park’ Lani Harlot defeated ‘Argenta Rose’ Eva Perrin w/Colonel John Perrin @ 14:12

Lani Harlot with the backbreaker to Eva Perrin

-Eva came out the aggressor and her husband also got involved in the match. Lani survived the onslaught despite taking a chairshot from Eva (Colonel Perrin had referee Davey Keels distracted) and nearly submitting to Eva’s Perrin Tap Out submission. In the end, it was Perrin who submitted to Harlot’s White Trash Compactor.

Lisa Barbosa-Stevens defeated Christa Carmondy (Sports Entertainment Corporation) @ 16:30
-Barbosa-Stevens draws first blood in what will probably be a series of matches to determine a new #1 contender for Sheline Carrigan’s MVW title. Carmondy came out determined to put her heartbreakingly close loss to Carrigan behind her.  Barbosa-Stevens escaped Carmondy’s inverted surfboard finisher midway through the match.

Barbosa-Stevens would later on hit the Toxic Sting to close out the match.

Post-match, ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin, Prisoner #034291, and Angels of Death blindsided Barbosa-Stevens from behind. Tess dropped her with a Pizza Cutter. Prisoner #034291 plowed her into the mat with a two handed choke slam. Then the AoD hit A.D.D. (Angel Death Drop) to finish her off.

Tess then took the microphone and thanked ‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann for helping her ‘see the light’ after all those years of fighting him. She bragged about the fact that she and the AoD will be getting a much needed ‘makeover’ and declared that she’d been ‘assimilated’ into the SEC. Angel Casey and Angel Scott nodded in agreement.

Finally, Tess addressed her attack on Dawn McGill. She said it was ‘long overdue’ and that the chances you will ever see Dawn back in MVW are slim and none after Tess destroyed her on ‘her’ night.

The AoD stayed at ringside for the main event.

MAIN EVENT/NON-TITLE MATCH: Angels of Death (Angel Casey/Angel Scott) defeated The Missouri Valley Fight Club (Harley Davisson/Carrieanne McDermott) @ 18:17

Angel Casey goes airborne with grave consequences to Carrieanne McDermott

-the finale of the night saw a preview of what will be an Arch Wrestling Madness title match. Early on, Casey was all over Davisson. Then McDermott tagged in and with Davisson isolated Angel Scott for much of the match. Finally, Scott with the hot tag to Casey and she went to town. McDermott was tossed out to the floor leading to the move of the night. Davisson launched herself between the ring post and the turnbuckle and took down Casey with a hurricanrana.

Casey later on made two huge last ditch saves on pinfalls and then the SEC interfered late in the match to swing the match to the AoD.

However, MVW Executive Jill Berg came out again and told the SEC that this isn’t the end of this. She formally booked AoD versus the MVFC for Arch Wrestling Madness.
