This Week’s Missouri Valley Wrestling House Show Review
March 28th

With two weekends to go before Arch Wrestling Madness, MVW ran four shows this week as the pay per view card began to take shape.

COMING OUT OF LAST WEEKEND:
It’s official. Executive Director Dawn McGill announced she was cutting her maternity leave short and returning full time at Arch Wrestling Madness next week. Reason? Acting Director Jason Carmondy had family issues at home that required his full attention.

McGill immediately had to deal with ‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann’s demand that ‘Texas Cowgirl’ Haley Dallas be added to the MVW Title match at Arch Wrestling Madness because she ‘scores well’ with focus groups.

But Poison Penny of the Green World Order, who also wanted to be added to the match, attacked Kari Ferguson after she defeated Soccer Mom. She then warned McGill that if she added Dallas to the match after Penny had defeated her in singles the week before that there would be grave consequences.

Christa Carmondy continued to press Penny on agreeing to a third match at Arch Wrestling Madness to settle their issues once and for all. The two matches ended with less than clean endings. Penny walked out on their first match at MVWA 69 due to the match stipulations imposed by Mr. McMann (bra and panties match). Christa got herself disqualified when the referee caught her using the ropes while trying to pin Penny at MVWA 70.

Former four-time MVW Tag Team champions Angels of Death (Angel Scott/Angel Casey) successfully completed their third of four gauntlet matches to earn themselves a title shot at Arch Wrestling Madness against the Sports Entertainment Consortium’s Brandi and Wendi Bayless. One more gauntlet match remains.

Just when we thought the TV title match for Arch Wrestling Madness had been resolved, Daisy Cutter-Bomb and the SEC attack both champion ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris and Carrieanne McDermott to muddy up the picture. McGill came out on Sunday and made a match between DCB and McDermott with the stipulation being the winner would get a title shot at Arch Wrestling Madness. McDermott won the match.

Wednesday March 23rd – Special MVW Appearance at St. Louis, MO

The Post Sports Bar and Grill in suburban St. Louis hosted the second mini-showcase of up and coming Missouri Valley Wrestling talent. Dawn McGill sat in the front row to watch the action. The main event would feature an appearance by former two time MVW Tag Team Champions The Korver Sisters.

Match Results:
‘The Argenta (IL) Flower’ Eva Perrin- accompanied by her husband John Perrin defeated Shelley Briscoe
Paige Powers defeated Bethany Stewart
MAIN EVENT: The Korver Sisters (Kelly and Korey) defeat Tori Thomas/Colleen America

Friday March 25th – MVW House Show at Clinton, OK

Clinton, Oklahoma, home of the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum, would be the starting point of the final weekend of action before Arch Wrestling Madness. The show was held at Clinton High School just down the road from the Route 66 museum.

Dawn McGill was at the show getting back up to speed to take over for Jason Carmondy next week at Arch Wrestling Madness and had attended a meeting of the Missouri Valley Wrestling Supporter’s Trust board the night before. Word was that Mr. McMann, with MVW Trust Fan’s representative Terry from Ada, Oklahoma in his corner, continued to push for ‘the product’ being more ‘sports entertainment’ oriented.

The next two nights would settle the Arch Wrestling Madness card. How would things shake out?

Match Results:
-Heartland Champion Major Svetlana Kovaleski cuts an in-ring promo to start the show. Kovaleski stated she was not amused by the ‘interference’ of Sheik Yorbouti- the Disco Loving, Jet Setting International Playboy from the East in her crusade to ‘get the young wrestlers up to snuff.’ She singled out Kari Ferguson…said Kari was a decent wrestler but she did not belong in the same ring as her.   This brought out another younger MVW wrestler, Adrienne Banks. Banks challenged Kovaleski to a match later tonight.

**Lt. Katrina Atcheson of the Kansas Highway Patrol defeated Cheryl Parkman with the C4.

**The Sports Entertainment Consortium’s Prisoner #034291 from the Iowa Correctional System destroyed Anna Conda with four two-handed choke slams to win via referee stoppage.

-Post match, ‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann cut his own promo hyping Prisoner #034291 as a legit contender for the Heartland title. McMann said to forget about Kari Ferguson. Ferguson couldn’t cut it with the SEC and has no business being near a title. McMann said to forget about Kovaleski as well because she was a mother and way past her prime. McMann heralded Prisoner #034291 as the bad ass champion the Heartland title needed.

**Ninja Kitty defeated Main Street USA’s Kirsten Canfield and the Green World Order’s Soccer Mom- Ninja Kitty pinned Soccer Mom with the Pounce

**The SEC’s ‘Texas Cowgirl’ Haley Dallas defeated “High Flying Intercontinental Flight Attendant” Airline Amie with the Texas Lariat.

-Post match, Mr. McMann came out again and put on the full court press to add Dallas to the MVW Title match next Saturday. McMann held up the focus group data that showed that the Texas Cowgirl scored well, she has a great look, and that’s why she deserves to be added to the MVW title match at Arch Wrestling Madness. McMann reiterated that fans don’t care about skills of a female wrestler; all they care about their looks. He mocked Poison Penny’s size, said she was too big and needed to get to the gym. Dallas then gets on the mic and said she’s going to win the title because she deserves the spotlight. She added that the odds are in her favor and if added to the MVW title match at Arch Wrestling Madness, she will bring the belt to the SEC.

**Main Street USA’s C.J. Lewis/Regina McGill upset the Missouri Valley Fight Club (Carrieanne McDermott/Harley Davisson)- Lewis pinned Davisson after the Last Round.

-Post match, the SEC (‘Texas Cowgirl’ Haley Dallas, Daisy Cutter-Bomb, Prisoner #034291, MVW Tag Team Champions Brandi and Wendi Bayless) hit the ring and attack all four combatants. Lewis, McGill, and Davisson are tossed out of the ring and then it’s open season on McDermott. She ate a two handed choke slam from Prisoner #034291, a Daisy Cutter Powerbomb from Daisy Cutter-Bomb, Texas Lariat from Haley Dallas, and then a Total Makeover from the Bayless Twins.

-Finally, help ran out in the form of the MVW Television Champion ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris and the other members of Main Street USA (Christa Carmondy, Kirsten Canfield, and ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin).   They evened the odds and a full out brawl broke out. The SEC turned their attention to the Television champion and went after Iris- who tried valiantly to fend off the Bayless Twins and Prisoner #034291. Security finally streamed down and separated both groups after a ten minute fracas.

After order had been restored…

**MAIN EVENT/HEARTLAND TITLE MATCH: Major Svetlana Kovaleski © defeated Adrienne Banks with the Gory Special/Facebuster combo.

Saturday March 26th, 2016 – MVW House Show at Tulsa, OK

Having sucked up an inordinate amount of ring time the night before, the Sports Entertainment Consortium picked up right where they left off on Saturday at the Mabee Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Accompanied by the SEC, ‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann started the proceedings with an in-ring promo proclaiming that the Tag Team champions Brandi and Wendi Bayless were unbeatable and that the former four time, washed out, over the hill tag team champions Angels of Death should just give up now.

Angel Scott and Angel Casey walked out and told McMann that’s just not in their vocabulary. They may not survive the gauntlet; but it won’t be because they didn’t give it one hundred and fifty percent effort to get there.

Match Results:
**GAUNTLET MATCH: Angels of Death (Angel Scott/Angel Casey) defeat The Lancer Sisters (Hannah and Katie), The Missouri Valley Fight Club (Carrieanne McDermott/Harley Davisson), and then…THE BAYLESS TWINS THEMSELVES in a non-title match.

-following the AoD’s final pinfall on the reigning Tag Team champions, all hell broke loose as the SEC invaded the ring and attacked Scott and Casey. Finally, Executive Director Dawn McGill angrily strode down to the ring and confronted Mr. McMann. Calling his actions over the past couple weeks ‘unacceptable,’ McGill blamed McMann directly for Jason Carmondy cutting his tenure short as the acting Director. She then informed him that as of this moment, the SEC were banned from ringside unless they were directly booked in a match until after Arch Wrestling Madness.

-McMann threw a huge fit in the ring and told the Waterloo crowd that the Trust had made a huge mistake in installing an Executive Director with NO vision and NO real plan to grow MVW as a brand. He repeated his mantra that ‘he knows what the fans want to see’ and McGill is making a big mistake in not listening to his sports entertainment vision for MVW. McGill finally and unceremoniously has McMann taken to the back by security. McMann was not happy.

**’The Argenta (IL) Flower Eva Perrin with John Perrin defeated ’Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin of Main Street USA when John Perrin burned Tess on the leg with a cigarette, allowing Eva to roll her up from behind. -Perrin’s entrance had her come out a la Eva Peron (Evita) meets Trailer Park Barbie.

**Kari Ferguson/Adrienne Banks defeat Heartland Champion Major Svetlana Kovaleski/Corrina Romanov- Ferguson rolled up Romanov for the pin.

-Post match, Kovaleski dropped Ferguson again with the Gory Special/Facebuster combo bringing McGill back out again. She booked Kovaleski versus Ferguson for the Heartland title at Arch Wrestling Madness.

**Christa Carmondy defeated Anna Conda with the Mean Girl Crush

-Carmondy is blindsided post-match by the Green World Order’s Poison Penny. Penny locks lips with Carmondy and Poison Kisses her to the mat. The other members of Main Street USA (‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin, Regina McGill, C.J. Lewis, and Kirsten Canfield come to her aid and are met by the GWO.

-Dawn McGill again made her way to the ring and told both women that like it or not, they need to settle their differences. Therefore, she booked Christa Carmondy versus Poison Penny III for Arch Wrestling Madness. Penny became furious and had to be held back by the other members of the GWO.

**Poison Penny defeated Lt. Katrina Atcheson of the Kansas Highway Patrol with the Poison Kiss.
