Missouri Valley Wrestling House Show Review- March 21st

This Week’s Missouri Valley Wrestling House Show Review
March 21st

With two weekends to go before Arch Wrestling Madness, MVW ran four shows this week as the pay per view card began to take shape.

-Rookie Kari Ferguson stepped up to the plate and challenged the Heartland Champion Svetlana Kovaleski after the Russian had attacked Kirsten Canfield, Hannah Lancer, and Adrienne Banks after their matches in Lawrenceburg, IN. Ferguson faced Kovaleski for the Heartland title and won the match when the champion was disqualified for using a steel folding chair during the match.

-Tensions remain high between Main Street USA’s Christa Carmondy and Poison Penny of the Green World Order. Carmondy wants a third match with Penny to take place at Arch Wrestling Madness. Penny wants a title shot against MVW Champion Sheline Carrigan instead.

-Sports Entertainment Genius Mr. McMann is frustrated with the fact that he can’t get his new wrestler ‘Texas Cowgirl’ Haley Dallas into the MVW title mix. Last week at the MVW House show in Bloomington, Indiana, acting Executive Director Jason Carmondy listened to McMann’s concerns and promptly booked an impromptu match with Dallas against the GWO’s Poison Penny, of which Dallas lost.

-Four time former MVW Tag Team champions Angels of Death (Angel Scott/Angel Casey) successfully navigated their second gauntlet match in an effort to earn another tag team title shot at Arch Wrestling Madness against champions Brandi and Wendi Bayless. Afterwards, they were promptly laid out by Mr. McMann’s Sports Entertainment Consortium.

-And speaking of tensions, Television Champion ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris was attacked by rival Carrieanne McDermott in Bloomington, Indiana after she successfully defended the TV belt against the GWO’s Code Pink. The next night in Effingham, Illinois, Iris challenged McDermott and the two tangled in the main event to a main event thirty minute draw.

Wednesday March 16th – Special MVW Appearance at Chicago, IL

The week started off in Chicago for the first Missouri Valley Wrestling Show held in a small venue- this week at Joe’s on Weed Street in downtown Chicago- a big, warehouse-like space, sports bar. Dawn McGill was on hand to watch the younger talent in a live setting and the main event featured ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin taking on Anna Conda.

Match Results:
Bethany Stewart/Colleen America defeat Shelley Briscoe/Paige Powers
Adrienne Banks defeated Tori Thomas
Lt. Katrina Atcheson of the Kansas Highway Patrol defeated Katie Lancer
MAIN EVENT: ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin defeated Anna Conda

Friday March 18th – MVW House Show at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa

Then it was off to Iowa and the Mt. Pleasant Middle School gymnasium for the start of a three day swing through corn country. The weather in Iowa might have been pleasant but the mood inside was not.

‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann met with acting Executive Director Jason Carmondy before the show. Armed with concerns, mainly from the MVW Board’s Fan representative Terry from Ada, Oklahoma, that the shows did not have enough ’pizazz’ to them, McMann pressed Carmondy to allow him to book some of the matches going forward based on sports entertainment principles. Carmondy dropped a major bombshell that he couldn’t make any decisions because Dawn McGill was coming back to work full time effective Arch Wrestling Madness.

McMann left the meeting noticeably upset, feeling that McGill would not give him or sports entertainment a fair hearing- especially given the fallout after he took over the MVWA 69 show by force back in January and gave it more of his sports entertainment flair.

Match Results:
-Sheik Yorbouti, the Disco Loving, Jet Setting International Playboy from the East- urged everyone to get down and boogie and give it up to the company’s younger wrestlers when he came out to introduce the first match of the night.

SIX WOMAN/#1 CONTENDER’S MATCH-HEARTLAND TITLE: Katie Lancer defeated Kirsten Canfield of Main Street USA, Adrienne Banks, ‘High Flying Intercontinental Flight Attendant’ Airline Amie, Tori Thomas, and Lt. Katrina Atcheson of the Kansas Highway Patrol- Katie Lancer pinned Banks with the Lancer’s Pointe -Katie will face Heartland Champion Svetlana Kovaleski later on in the show

Daisy Cutter-Bomb of the Sports Entertainment Consortium defeated Elaine Brazier with the Daisy Cutter Powerbomb.

The Green World Order’s Code Pink defeated Andrea Allen

Ninja Kitty defeated Hannah Lancer with the Pounce.

-At the intermission, MVW Champion “Canadian Cyborg” Sheline Carrigan and her manager Jill Berg made their way to the ring. Carrigan remained quiet- the silent ass kicker and who simply leaves a path of destruction behind her while Berg did the talking for her. She told the audience that Carrigan got what she deserved when she defeated Kathryn Randall Collins at MVWA 70 and won the title. Berg said that the ring is Carrigan’s arena and it doesn’t matter who steps into it against her, KRC, Poison Penny, ‘Texas Cowgirl’ Haley Dallas, the catering, whatever. Berg declares no matter who’s standing in the ring against her, the Canadian Cyborg will destroy them.

Main Street USA’s ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin defeated ‘Queen of the Trailer Court’ Lani Harlot and Anna Conda in a three way elimination match. Harlot submitted Conda with the White Trash Compactor. Martin pinned Harlot after hitting the Pizza Cutter.

-Post match, Christa Carmondy came to the ring with the rest of Main Street USA (Regina McGill/C.J. Lewis/Kirsten Canfield) to talk about Poison Penny. Carmondy said that Penny needs to just ‘deal with it’- alluding to the fact that KRC activated her rematch clause and she’ll be the one who faces Sheline Carrigan at Arch Wrestling Madness for the title. Christa added that Penny and her have unfinished business and one of them needs to defeat the other cleanly. She accused Penny of feeling ‘entitled’ to a title shot and somewhat understands because she used to be the same way. But what’s done is done. Christa again challenged Penny to a third match at Arch Wrestling Madness.

Main Street USA (C.J. Lewis/Regina McGill) defeated Gwen and Blake Varney- McGill used a wicked right hand shot to down Blake Varney and score the pin.

MAIN EVENT/HEARTLAND TITLE MATCH: Svetlana Kovaleski © vs. Katie Lancer went to a twenty minute time limit draw.

-After Lancer fought the match of her young career, an angry Kovaleski decapitated her with a Russian Sickle and power bombed her. Kovaleski then picked Lancer up and placed her in the Gory Special into a Facebuster. She fled the ring as Sheik Yorbouti, Kari Ferguson, Adrienne Banks, and Airline Amie raced to the ring at the end of the show.

Saturday March 19th, 2016 – MVW House Show at Waterloo, Iowa

Hot on the heels of her husband Ray McAvay’s big win Friday night at High Octane Wrestling’s March to Glory pay per view show – High Octane Wrestling’s March to Glory – a very happy Dawn McGill made her way out to the ring at the Young Arena in Waterloo, Iowa and made it official- she was cutting short her maternity leave and returning to work at Arch Wrestling Madness. McGill thanked the fans for their support and spoke of a bright future for MVW working in tandem with the MVW Supporters Trust.

That brought out the Sports Entertainment Consortium’s Mr. McMann along with his ever present hired guns: The brawn behind the beauties. Bo Stevens of the great Stevens wrestling family and Timothy Allen Tebow- (HINT: …not THAT one.) …former SMU quarterback who’s trying overcome his name to find his own success…aka T-BO. McMann congratulated Dawn on the birth of her twins and told her he hated to rain on her parade but things weren’t as rosey as she was portraying. McMann held up paperwork purported to be results of a MVW Supporter’s Trust survey concerning the product. McMann stated that for all the ‘complaints’ about what he did at MVWA 69, the fact of the matter is that the show actually gained favorable results from the members of the trust.

McGill finally asked him what he wanted. McMann replied that ‘Texas Cowgirl’ Haley Dallas scores well with focus groups, she has a great look, and she deserves to be added to the MVW title match at Arch Wrestling Madness. McGill pointed out that Dallas had a shot last weekend to prove herself and lost to the Green World Order’s Poison Penny. McMann said last week’s result was irrelevant and he’s been saying for over 10 years that fans don’t care about skills of a female wrestler; they care about their looks.

Match Results:
SIX WOMAN TAG TEAM MATCH: Elaine Brazier/Andrea Allen/Tori Thomas defeat Gwen Varney/Blake Varney/Cheryl Parkman- Allen scored a schoolgirl roll up on Parkman for the win.

Kari Ferguson of the Young Guns defeated the Green World Order’s Soccer Mom with a Crossface Chickenwing submission.

-Post match, the rest of the GWO (Poison Penny/Peta from PETA/Emily S. List/Code Pink) attacked Ferguson and the Disco Loving, Jet Setting International Playboy from the East- Sheik Yorbouti. While the others jumped on Yorbouti and beat him down, Poison Penny knocked Ferguson out with the Poison Kiss. Penny got on the microphone and she demanded to be added to the MVW title match at Arch Wrestling Madness and not Haley Dallas. She pointed out that she defeated Dallas ‘handily’ last week and as so, she is entitled to a title shot. Penny warned Dawn McGill that if she allows the SEC to get their way and adds Dallas to the match that she would face grave consequences.

-The SEC came out and Mr. McMann shooed the GWO to the back for the next match.

‘Texas Cowgirl’ Haley Dallas defeated Ninja Kitty- Dallas leveled her with a Texas Lariat for the pin.

-Post match, Prisoner #034291 piled on to the ultra-quick Ninja Kitty’s woes with a two handed choke slam. ‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann took the microphone and warned Dawn McGill that she could expect more of this unless the SEC gets their way. The reigning MVW Tag Team champions Brandi and Wendi Bayless pulled Ninja Kitty back up and set her up for the Total Makeover. But then the four time former MVW tag champions Angels of Death (Angel Scott/Angel Casey) hit the ring to make the save.

-McMann welcomes the AoD and tells them they’re right on time. He announces their opponents for the next gauntlet match they will have to endure in order to earn a tag team title shot at Arch Wrestling Madness.

GAUNTLET MATCH: Angels of Death (Angel Scott/Angel Casey) defeat Robin the Wonder Girl/Desiree Davis, The Beach Girls (Brianna Wilson/Michelle Love), and former MVW Tag Team champions The O’Neders (Rita and Anita)

-Post match, the SEC again attack Scott and Casey and the four time tag champions are laid out by another two handed choke slam by Prisoner #034291 and then the Bayless twin’s Total Makeover.

Poison Penny of the GWO defeated Main Street USA’s Regina McGill with the Poison Kiss

-Post match, Penny taunted Christa Carmondy and nearly set off a brawl between the GWO and Main Street USA. As the GWO heads to the back, Carmondy yells out to Penny that being upset at McGill for not giving in to her demands to be added to the MVW title match is ridiculous. KRC is the one entitled per the contract she signed last month agreeing to the match with Sheline Carrigan- not her.   Carmondy tells her she’s taking things way too personal and needs to accept their match at Arch Wrestling Madness to settle their differences once and for all. Penny and the GWO simply walk off.

MVW Champion ‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan defeated ‘Queen of the Trailer Park’ Lani Harlot with the Canadian Destroyer- non-title match.

MAIN EVENT/TELEVISION TITLE MATCH: Carrieanne McDermott defeated ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris © via DQ- McDermott had Iris trapped in a Guillotine Choke but Iris grabbed on to the bottom rope. Referee Ron Martin called for the break but out of nowhere Daisy Cutter-Bomb of the Sports Entertainment Consortium burst into the ring with a chair and blasted McDermott with it. Martin immediately called for the bell.

-Post match, the rest of the SEC joined in. Prisoner #034291 planted Iris with a two handed choke slam. McDermott took a Daisy Cutter Powerbomb from DCB. Then the Bayless twins finished the job with a Total Makeover on both McDermott and Iris.

-Mr. McMann strolled into the ring and nodded his head in approval.

Sunday March 20th, 2016 – MVW House Show at Mason City, Iowa

MVW’s Sunday matinee show rolled into the North Iowa Ice Arena in Mason City, Iowa for the final show of the weekend. Following the SEC’s rampage the night before in Waterloo, Iowa, an aggravated Dawn McGill marched down to the ring to kick the show off and she had a few things to say to Mr. McMann and the Sports Entertainment Consortium.

McGill strongly reiterated again that the main event for Arch Wrestling Madness was set in stone- Sheline Carrigan defending the MVW Title against Kathryn Randall Collins. She made it clear in the strongest terms possible to Mr. McMann that if there was just one SEC run-in this afternoon that she would suspend him until after Arch Wrestling Madness. However, she did throw the SEC one bone. The afternoon’s main event would feature the SEC’s Daisy Cutter-Bomb versus Carrieanne McDermott with the winner facing Television champion ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris for the TV belt at Arch Wrestling Madness.

Match Results:
Hannah and Katie Lancer defeat Divorcees with Dangerous Intent (Stacey Martin/Betsy Parker)- Hannah gets the pin on Martin with the Lancer’s Pointe.

The Korver Sisters (Kelly and Korey) defeat Backman Taylor Powerdrive (Charlene Backman/Brianna Taylor)- Kelly pinned Taylor with the Korver Krusher.

Adrienne Banks defeated Terry Sargent with a sleeper hold submission.

The Sports Entertainment Consortium (‘Texas Cowgirl’ Haley Dallas/Prisoner #034291) defeat Blake and Gwen Varney- Dallas levels Blake Varney with the Texas Lariat and then rolls her up for the pin.

-Post match, the SEC and ‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann quietly go back to their dressing room without incident.

Main Street USA (Kirsten Canfield/C.J. Lewis) defeat Ninja Kitty/Lt. Katrina Atcheson of the Kansas Highway Patrol- Canfield pinned Atcheson with the Wheatshocker Deluxe.

MVW Tag Team Champions Brandi and Wendi Bayless defeat Robin the Wonder Girl/Tori Thomas- non-title match- Brandi pins Thomas after the Bayless twins hit the Total Makeover on her.
