This Week’s Missouri Valley Wrestling House Show Review
March 7th

Dawn McGill made a temporary return to MVW over the weekend because acting Director Jason Carmondy could not make the shows due to a family emergency.   She received a warm reception from the 755 people who attended the show at the Watertown High School gymnasium when she came out at intermission.   McGill also traveled to Pierre, South Dakota for the Sunday afternoon show to start the road towards Arch Wrestling Madness.

Saturday March 5th – MVW House Show at Watertown, South Dakota

Christa Carmondy started the show in the ring and owned what happened MVWA 70 when she was disqualified in her match against Poison Penny. “No excuses, I screwed up” is what she said about what happened at MVWA 70 when she tried to use the ropes to defeat Poison Penny and got caught red handed. She called on Poison Penny to agree to a rubber match between the two for Arch Wrestling Madness.

Match Results:
Lt. Katrina Atcheson of the Kansas Highway Patrol defeated Peta from PETA with the C4

Adrienne Banks defeated Grace Paintyer

-post match, new Heartland Champion Svetlana Kovaleski ran out and attacked Banks. Kovaleski put her in the Gory Special and then rocked back and face planted her. Kovaleski took the microphone and told Banks she did this for her own good. The school of hard knocks.

Anna Conda defeated Terry Sargent with the Anaconda Vice.

Kari Ferguson defeated Maxie Perry with the Schoolgirl rollup.

-again, Svetlana Kovaleski came out to attack the young rookie Ferguson but this time, the music of Sheik Yorbouti came on- except it wasn’t Sheik Yorbouti, it was Director of MVW Dawn McGill. McGill, who didn’t look in the best of moods, told Kovaleski to go to the back until her Heartland title defense later on in the show. Wisely, Kovaleski complied.

-As the crowd chanted ‘welcome back, ’McGill thanked everyone and then cut a promo on behalf of her husband, High Octane Wrestling’s Ray McAvay concerning an attack on him this past Friday night. She said she was disappointed at the unprovoked attack on Ray and guess that HOW owner Lee Best wanted to shake things up. Dawn said Ray was in the wrong place at the wrong time- collateral damage. She then went to lob some verbal volleys at Best Alliance members Bobby Dean, McAvay’s opponent at the upcoming March to Glory- Ryan McKenna, Brian Hollywood, and John Sektor.

Poison Penny defeated Desiree Davis with the Poison Kiss.

-post match, Poison Penny called Christa Carmondy a cheater and she made it clear that she does not deserve to have a third match with her. Penny wants the first title show against the new MVW champion Sheline Carrigan.

Kathryn Randall Collins defeated ‘By the Book’ Tiana Walker with the Gogoplata.

-post match, KRC trumped Poison Penny’s request for a title shot by invoking her rematch clause. This brought Dawn McGill back down to the ring where she announced that KRC would indeed face MVW champion ‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan at Arch Wrestling Madness. McGill also revealed that MVW would hold a tournament to determine the new #1 contender for the MVW title. The finals of the tournament will also take place at Arch Wrestling Madness.

Sunday March 6th, 2016 – MVW House Show at Pierre, South Dakota

Night two of MVW’s swing through South Dakota stopped at the TF Riggs High School gymnasium to a crowd of just over a thousand people. They were treated to the return of the former four time Missouri Valley Wrestling tag team champions Angel of Death- Angel Scott and Angel Casey. Casey called out the current MVW Tag Team champions Lingerie Girls Brandi and Wendi Bayless and demanded to know why they walked out of the match at a house show in St. Charles, Illinois the night before MVWA 70. Scott said they’ll get their answer one way or another tonight.

Match Results:
Main Street USA’s Regina McGill kicked off the night with a win over the Missouri Valley Fight Club’s Harley Davisson in a rock ‘em sock ‘em opening match.

Wichita State sophomore Kirsten Canfield defeated Gwen Varney with the Wheatshocker Deluxe.

-post match, the crowd rose as they expected Heartland Champion Svetlana Kovaleski to run down and attack Canfield. Nope. Prisoner #034291 of the Iowa Correctional system (and Mr. McMann’s Sports Entertainment Consortium) out on furlough raced down to the ring and planted Canfield with a two handed choke slam. Then she did the same Varney. Then ‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann came out to a round of boos and jeers from the crowd.

-McMann addressed the tag team match that took place last week in St. Charles between the champions (and member of the SEC) the Bayless twins and Angels of Death. McMann explained that losing the titles to the AoD was not part of the script. “Angels of Death is yesterday’s news; the Lingerie Girls are now.” McMann then offers the Angels a way forward. If the AoD wanted another title shot, they’d have to earn it the old fashioned way- the sports entertainment way.

-This brought Angel Scott and Angel Casey out. They were listening. McMann explained that the duo would have to run and survive a gauntlet match at the Saturday night show for the next few weeks. If they won, they’d stay alive. If they lost, no title shot. Scott and Casey conferred and accepted. McMann said the gauntlet begins NOW!

Angels of Death (Angel Scott/Angel Casey) defeated Divorcees with Dangerous Intent (Stacey Martin/Betsy Parker), Backman Taylor Powerdrive (Charlene Backman/Brianna Taylor), and The Pinups (Sabrina James/Alicia Rowe) in a gauntlet match.

-following the pin, the Sports Entertainment Consortium (Brandi and Wendi Bayless, ‘Texas Cowgirl’ Haley Dallas, Daisy Cutter-Bomb, and Prisoner #034291 attacked the AoD. Prisoner #034291 hit a two handed choke slam on Scott simultaneously as DCS delivered a Daisy Cutter Powerbomb to Casey. Dallas leveled Scott and then Casey with a cowbell. Then the tag team champions lined up both Scott and Casey and hit the double Total Makeover on them. As the SEC left the ring, McMann told the Angels that he’d see them next week.

Main Street USA’s Christa Carmondy and ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin defeat Hannah and Katie Lancer. Christa hit the Mean Girl Crush on Hannah for the win.

Dawn McGill came out for the intermission again to announce that the pairings for the #1 contender for the MVW Title tournament would be announced this Friday at the house show in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. First round matches would take place on Saturday in Bloomington, Indiana.

‘Queen of the Trailer Park’ Lani Harlot defeated Missouri Valley Fight Club’s Carrieanne McDermott with the White Trash Compactor.

The Green World Order (Poison Penny/Code Pink/Emily S. List) defeat Kari Ferguson/Adrienne Banks/Kathryn Randall Collins) when Poison Penny hit the Poison Kiss on Banks.

-post match, the GWO’s Peta from PETA and Soccer Mom joined in and beat down Ferguson and KRC. Poison Penny got on the microphone and told KRC that she ‘stole’ her MVW title opportunity at the upcoming Arch Wrestling Madness show. Penny said she’s the one who should be meeting MVW champion Sheline Carrigan at Arch Wrestling Madness and locked lips with KRC knocking her out with her Poison Kiss.

-speaking of the MVW champion, she came out with her manager/advocate, Corporate Predator Extraordinaire Jill Berg for the first time as champion. Carrigan thanked everyone for their support and promised to be a fighting champion.

MAIN EVENT/TELEVISION TITLE MATCH: ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris © defeated Ninja Kitty with the Pittsburgh Plunge to retain the title.
