This Week’s Missouri Valley Wrestling House Show Review with Dawn McGill
February 29st

The night before Saturday night’s big MVWA 70 extravaganza in Chicago, Missouri Valley Wrestling held a house show out in the suburbs in St. Charles, IL. The program not only gave some of the younger talent a chance to show their stuff but also featured both a Heartland Title match and a MVW Tag Team Title match.

Friday February 26th – MVW House Show at St. Charles, IL

Before the first match, Svetlana Kovaleski came out and apologized to the crowd because “you paid good money tonight and you’re going to watch a bunch of rookies make a lot of mistakes.”   But, instead of the young female guns of MVW (Adrienne Banks, Kari Ferguson, the Lancer sisters, and Kirsten Canfield) coming out to confront Kovaleski, it’s the Sports Entertainment Consortium (‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann, Bo Stevens, Timothy Allen Tebow, ‘Texas Cowgirl’ Haley Dallas, Heartland Champion Daisy Cutter-Bomb, and Tag Team Champions Lingerie Girls Brandi and Wendi Bayless.

McMann then apologized to the crowd because they were going to witness the destruction of Kovaleski later on tonight at the hands of Heartland Champion Daisy Cutter-Bomb. McMann advised Kovaleski not to worry about the rookies tonight; she needed to make her final will and testament because DCB was going to make an example of her.

Match Results:
Adrienne Banks defeated Caroline Kelly with a roll up.

Lt. Katrina Atcheson of the Kansas Highway Patrol defeated Stacey Martin with a running C4

Hannah and Katie Lancer defeat Backman Taylor Powerdrive (Charlene Backman/Brianna Taylor)

Kirsten Canfield/C.J. Lewis of Main Street USA defeat Gwen and Blake Varney- Canfield pinned Gwen with a Superplex.

Anna Conda defeated Soccer Mom of the Green World Order with the Anaconda Vice.

Svetlana Kovaleski walked out to the ring again and apologized for the earlier matches the St. Charles MVW fans ‘had to endure’ involving Missouri Valley Wrestling’s up and coming wrestlers. Kovaleski added “never send a girl to do a woman’s job” and called out the Heartland Champion Daisy Cutter-Bomb for their match.

HEARTLAND TITLE MATCH: Svetlana Kovaleski defeated Daisy Cutter-Bomb (SEC) © to win the MVW Heartland Title.

-post match, a furious Mr. McMann sic’d the SEC on Kovaleski to do an epic beatdown on Kovaleski. Finally, who comes to her aid? Adrienne Banks, Kari Ferguson, the Lancer sisters, and Kirsten Canfield- the very same ‘young, untrained’ wrestlers Kovaleski had continuously attacked for the past few weeks. MVW security also raced down and after a few minutes restored order. The SEC were kicked out of the ring.

-when Kovaleski realized who came to her rescue, she threw a massive in-ring fit before finally retiring to the back with the Heartland title belt.

-feeling their oats after the brawl with Kovaleski, MVW Tag Team Champions Lingerie Girls Brandi and Wendi Bayless took the microphone to make an open challenge. Brandi observed that the tag champions didn’t have a match for MVWA 70 and knew the reason why- “because there’s no competition left in MVW.”   Wendi mentioned that the SEC had brought ‘Texas Cowgirl’ Haley Dallas in and effectively put an end to the Dallas-Tessa Martin partnership.

-Brandi again made a general open challenge for any two people in the locker room to team up and come to the ring. AC/DC’s ‘If You Want Blood’ blared. Brandi and Wendi’s jaws dropped. And out came the four time, FOUR time Missouri Valley Wrestling Tag Team Champions Angels of Death (Angel Scott/Angel Casey).

MAIN EVENT: Angels of Death (Angel Scott/Angel Casey) defeat Lingerie Girls Brandi and Wendi Bayless (SEC) © via count-out- Lingerie Girls retained the tag title.

-ten minutes into the match, Scott and Casey are well in control of things when Mr. McMann shouted to the Bayless twins and the sisters walked to the back. Referee Davey Keels counted the champions out and awarded the match to Angels of Death.

Saturday February 27nd, 2016 – MVWA 70 Undercard Matches- Chicago, IL

Before the television portion of the MVWA 70 show, four lower card matches took place and the Television Champion ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris put her belt on the line.

Undercard Results: Kari Ferguson vs. Kirsten Canfield- no contest when new Heartland Champion Svetlana Kovaleski attacked both wrestlers.

-Sheik Yorbouti- who’d missed the previous night’s show because he made an appearance on High Octane Wrestling’s Friday Night Chaos show- ran down to make the save.

Emily S. List/Code Pink defeat Gwen and Blake Varney- Code Pink used a Glitter Bomb to gain the win.

Missouri Valley Fight Club (Carrieanne McDermott/Harley Davisson) defeat Regina McGill/C.J. Lewis (Main Street USA)- Davisson hit the Kick Start on Lewis

-McDermott tried to stay out and watch the TV title match involving her arch-nemesis Leah Iris but MVW security forced him to go to the back.

Saturday February 27th MVWA 70 Results – Chicago, IL

Ninja Kitty defeated ‘High Flying Intercontinental Flight Attendant’ Airline Amie with the Pounce

‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin (Main Street USA) defeated ‘Texas Cowgirl’ Haley Dallas (SEC) with the Pizza Cutter.

Poison Penny (Green World Order) defeated Christa Carmondy (Main Street USA) via DQ

MAIN EVENT/MVW TITLE MATCH: ‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan defeated Kathryn Randall Collins © to win the MVW Title

McGill’s Summary:
Dawn McGill was very happy that Sheline Carrigan finally broke through to win the MVW Title. She recounted loaning her out (English football term)/farming her out (American baseball term) to the Independent Western Wrestling World promotion for a few weeks to clear her head. Ditching the SEC and bringing Jill Berg proved to be the correct prescription to cure Carrigan’s downturn in form.

After the second screwball finish to a Christa Carmondy/Poison Penny match, McGill had a feeling that the two would have a third and decisive match at MVWA 71.

-former Heartland champion Carrieanne McDermott was blocked from watching MVW Television “Queen Cool” Leah Iris’s title defense at ringside and escorted to the back. McDermott continued to show a single minded determination to wrest the TV belt from Iris.

Svetlana Kovaleski’s eventful weekend wrapped up with the Heartland title belt and a big time feud with the younger MVW wrestlers on the roster.
