Weekend Wrap Up
‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann Explores His Options
Following the stunning turn of events that saw Missouri Valley Wrestling sold right out from under the Sports Entertainment Consortium to the Missouri Valley Wrestling Supporters Trust, Mr. McMann is reportedly ‘exploring his legal options.’ He believes that he had a handshake deal in place earlier in the show and as a result, may direct his legal counsel to try and block the deal.
On the flip side, MVW reports that over 200 people joined the trust at Saturday night’s show at a minimum contribution of $25. The goal according to Director of Talent Development, and the key member behind the trust, Dawn McGill is to get to 10,000 people. The amount of money raised at 10K would cover the purchase prices of MVW paid by Jill Berg and give the company a little bit of extra cash.
Several MVW wrestlers also joined the trust after the show to show their support.
Light Schedule This Month
As the holiday approaches, Missouri Valley Wrestling will present a minimal schedule of shows in both November and December. MVWA 67 is still on for November 28th and McGill will announce the card at an upcoming house show.
The Kentucky Deerhunters Are a Little Upset
Putting it mildly, the Deerhunters were livid when the returned to the back following their DQ win over the MVW Tag Team champions ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin and ‘Texas Cowgirl’ Haley Dallas on Saturday night. Kellyanne Morris told MVW’s backstage reporter Paige McGillicutty that she thought Martin hit her with the oversized pizza box of doom to deliberately get them disqualified.
Martin responded with this: “Do you mean what happened after the part of the match where the Deerhunters blatantly double teamed Haley Dallas in their corner for several minutes? Whatever.”
Stay tuned on this one. There’s a good possibility we’ll see a rematch on this one at MVWA 67
Following Saturday night’s show, Dawn McGill sat Kari down for a good hour after the show and talked to her about the SEC and what happened. Expect to see Kari back at McGill’s Wednesday afternoon training sessions and starting back at square one moving forward.
