MVW House Show
Oklahoma City, OK
Saturday October 17th, 2015
Friday night in Tulsa, Missouri Valley Wrestling saw the new Heartland champion Ninja Kitty successfully make her first title defense against the former champion ‘Queen of the Trailer Park’ Lani Harlot. Television Champion ‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan also defended her title in Tulsa’s BOK Center, albeit in an impromptu match against Auntie Jen.
Saturday night at the Chesapeake Energy Center Arena in Oklahoma City would also bring two title defenses. Carrigan would put her TV belt on the line in a scheduled defense against ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris. And then the big one, MVW Champion Lady Halitosis versus Kari Ferguson representing Mr. McMann’s Sports Entertainment Consortium. With much riding on the results, how would the evening shake out?
Then Dawn McGill, back from a one night trip to San Francisco (her husband Ray McAvay is scheduled to wrestle in High Octane Wrestling’s Rumble at the Rock Pay Per View Sunday night), came out to address Mr. McMann’s remarks in Tulsa. McGill ripped McMann for suggesting that MVW was in dire financial trouble and tells the crowd that Mr. McMann can stick his briefcase of cash up his ass.
McMann appears and he’s not given the friendliest of welcomes from the Oklahoma City MVW fans. McMann tells McGill if she thinks MVW isn’t in financial trouble then she’s delusional and not as smart as he thought. He holds up the briefcase again and implores McGill to talk with tri-owners Corrina Romanov, Kevin G. Briscoe, and Johnny Suave and impress on them the seriousness of the situation. McMann claims again that only he has the power to save Missouri Valley Wrestling from oblivion.
Desiree Davis defeated Blake Varney @ 9:09
-Davis and Varney had a nice nine minute tete-a-tete to start the night off strong before Davis rolled Varney up with a small package to take the win.
Adrienne Banks defeated Code Pink of the Green World Order @ 12:18
-Who is Adrienne Banks? She is yet another Dawn McGill project getting her big chance. And Banks took full advantage of the opportunity against the slumping Code Pink from the GWO.
Hannah Lancer/Airline Amie defeat the Green World Order (Soccer Mom/Peta from PETA) @ 8:50
-and to make matters worse, Lancer and Amie deliver the coup de grace by outclassing the GWO.
At the end of the match, GWO Leader Kathryn Randall Collins marches right to the ring. She is clearly very upset with the lack of effort and the lack of focus from all three GWO wrestlers and tears into all three. KRC accuses them of not wanting to make themselves better wrestlers which would then give them the platform they needed to present their agenda. Code Pink takes umbridge with what KRC says and fires a Glitter Bomb into her eyes. Blinded, KRC is then overcome by the GWO, who are joined by auxiliary members PeaceNic (who doesn’t actually participate in the beatdown but protests the brutality used in said beatdown outside the ring), New Age Sensitive Guy, ‘Extreme Vegan’ Brock Cole Lee, and GreenPete. The GWO leave KRC in a heap in the middle of the ring and leave her for the MVW clean up crew to deal with.
Once that’s done…
The Kentucky Deerhunters (Kellyanne Morris/Bailey Foster) defeat Backman Taylor Powerdrive (Charlene Backman/Brianna Taylor) @ 8:38
-Morris and Foster conjure up their best performance in a couple months against BTP to push forward in their drive to earn themselves a title shot against the tag team champions ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin and ‘Texas Cowgirl’ Haley Dallas.
Kari Ferguson of the Sports Entertainment Consortium, accompanied by Mr. McMann, hired muscle Bo Stevens and Timothy Allen Tebow…no, not THAT one, and Lingerie Girls Brandi and Wendi Bayless, walks to the ring to cut a pre-match promo for her challenge later on against MVW Champion Lady Halitosis. Ferguson, visibly nervous, gets through her remarks. She denounces Dawn McGill for questioning whether or not she’s ready for a title opportunity. She tells Jill Berg that she has no business calling into question Mr. McMann’s grand vision for MVW and his plans for her.
Ferguson then drops a bombshell- she asks Berg if she’s told Sheline Carrigan the full story on the foreclosure of her parent’s farm. McMann grins as Ferguson makes her way towards the back.
Mercenaries Mach 2 (Svetlana Kovaleski/Regina McGill) and Kirsten Canfield of Jill Berg Enterprises vs. Missouri Valley Fight Club (Harley Davisson/Carrieanne McDermott) and ‘The Original’ Shanna Barrett- 20 minute time limit draw
-Kovaleski is getting back in ring shape. She, McGill, and Canfield took the battle to Davisson, McDermott, and Barrett and the result was a typically long free for all that resulted in a time limit draw.
Jill Berg Enterprises, led by CEO Jill Berg, head to the ring to support the Television Champion ‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan in her title defense against ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris. Canfield, Kovaleski and McGill stayed out after their match and were joined by Hallie Burton. Carrigan appeared to be very unhappy as she climbed into the ring and did not make eye contact whatsoever with Jill Berg.
TELEVISION TITLE MATCH: ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris defeated ‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan © via DQ @ 5:07
-Carrigan clearly had something on her mind…like perhaps the stunning accusation levied against Jill Berg earlier in the show concerning her role in the foreclosure proceedings against her parents. Early on, Iris had the initiative and stayed a step ahead of the champion. Finally, Carrigan became so frustrated that she snapped and leveled Iris with a wicked clothesline. She knelt down and rained down punches on Iris until the referee tried to step in. Carrigan grabbed the referee with a side headlock and gave him a Scorpion Death Drop, then continued to assault Iris. Berg in the ring and tried to stop Carrigan. The Canadian Cyborg tossed her aside. The other members of JBE hit the ring and tried to subdue Carrigan. They were able to do so in time for a second referee to run out and disqualify Carrigan.
Post match, Carrigan went right to the back leaving her JBE teammates behind.
Suffice to say, McMann came to the ring looking very smug as the SEC passed Berg and her JBE colleagues. Would the small victory for SEC translate into a bigger victory in the MVW title match?
MAIN EVENT/MVW TITLE MATCH: Lady Halitosis © defeated Kari Ferguson via DQ @ 5:49
-No. Ferguson looked out of her depth from the outset. The work Dawn McGill did with Lady Halitosis over the past few months paid off for the champion as she dominated the young challenger from the outset. McMann’s smug smile faded away quickly and by the five minute mark of the match, the outcome of the match was no longer in doubt. So McMann sent the Lingerie Girls Brandi and Wendi Bayless to attack the MVW champion and deliberately get Ferguson disqualified. Mission accomplished. First Stevens and Tebow attacked the referee and threw him out of the ring while Brandi and Wendi did a classic Pearl Harbor job on Lady Halitosis. Then they set her up for the Total Makeover. Brandi worked high; Wendi worked low and sent the champion crashing head first to the mat.
This brought Kovaleski and McGill to the ring to chase out the SEC team as the show came to a close.
