#TBT MVWA 9- Des Moines, IA and MVWA 10- Wichita, KS

Missouri Valley Wrestling: MVWA 9
Knapp Center
Des Moines, IA
Sunday September 20th, 2009
Hosts:  Tessa Martin and Dame Judith Carmondy

Tessa: “Good evening and welcome to Missouri Valley Wrestling.  I’m Tessa Martin.  With me as always is Dame Judith Carmondy.  Judith, be honest- you really did miss me last week.”

Judith: “Maybe…a little.”

Tessa: “As you all may know, it has been quite a week her at MVW.  The ongoing problems surrounding one Jackie Daniels has dominated the news this week, which is a bummer considering that Missouri Valley now has not just one but two wrestlers perched in the WWR Women’s Top 25.”

Judith: “And that is a source of great pride for Missouri Valley Wrestling.  Of course, you neglect to mention that you, yourself, are now in the top 25 as well.  Congratulations, Tess.”

Tessa: “Well, thank you Judith.  I was very pleased to make it in at twenty-three.”

Judith: “Perhaps you should consider making pro wrestling your full time profession?”

Tessa: “And miss all the fun here?  No way!  I am enjoying what I do at both Dream and the MVW.  I wouldn’t miss any of this for the world.  Let’s go to Paige McGillicutty in the back with a overview of tonight’s show, Paige?”

Cut to Paige in the back.

Paige: Thanks Tessa.  After a tumultous week that saw Jackie Daniels escorted out of Redbird Arena last Sunday and then picked up for DUI the next night, the Missouri Valley Wrestling Association hopes to get back to what they feel they do best- wrestling.

Tonight, MVW takes another step towards determining the new #1 contender for Miss USA’s MVW Title.   In match #1, Katie Collins, the three time PCW Women’s champion, meets the former host of ‘Shot at Scoring with a Slutty Video Television Reality Show Babe’ Mia Margarita.  Collins holds a significant weight and experience advantage over Mia.  Mia’s ‘Long Kiss Goodnight’ finisher is formidable though and Collins can’t afford to get careless.

Match #2 features MVW’s Lingerie Girl Brandi Bayless against Weathergirl Hallie.  Don’t let her ring attire fool you, Bayless is a dangerous opponent and proves week in and week out that she not only has the look but she also has the ability to hang with MVW’s best.  Hallie is a former PCW Women’s champion and would love nothing more than to get a chance at Miss USA.

Match #3 tonight has the free-spirited Russian Corrina Romanov taking on the Scotland favorite Carrieanne McDermott.  Romanov just finished up sending young Christa Carmondy back to college a couple weeks back and is slowly reclimbing the ladder after a sprained neck knocked her out of action.

McDermott continues to be embroiled in a war with PCW Television Champion Brooke Evans as both keep attacking the other at every possible chance.  Will Evans interject herself in the match?  We’ll find out later on.

Also tonight, Jackie Daniels will reportedly apologize for her recent actions before she begins her suspension and goes to rehab.  All this tonight on MVWA 9

Cut back to Tessa and Judith.

Tessa: “Judith, your thoughts on tonight.”

Judith: “First, I think Katie Collins will swat away Mia Margarita like she would a gnat.  The only thing she has to be concerned about is that infernal ‘Long Kiss Goodnight’ move.  I completely concur about Bayless.  I think that she’s one of the most underrated women in MVW.  Hallie’s solid though.  I wouldn’t be surprised if either woman moved forward.  And as for McDermott versus Romanov.  I think McDermott is becoming more hardened by her war with Brooke Evan.  Personally, I hope she cleans up the ring with Romanov.”

Tessa: “No personal interest involved there with Corrina Romanov sending your daughter back to college there?”

Judith: “Let’s get to the first match. Shall we?

MATCH #1 Katie Collins vs. Mia Margarita

[Ring announcer Jack Zenk is in the ring to introduce the combatants.]

Zenk: “It’s time for our first match. On her way to the ring at this time, weighing in at 155 pounds, from Binghamton, New York, Katie Collins!!!

[Collins confidently climbs into the ring. ]

Zenk: “And her opponent, weighing in at 95 pounds, from Hollywood, CA and the former host of ‘Shot at Scoring with a Slutty Video Television Reality Show Babe’, Mia Margarita!!!

[Mia Margarita walks to the ring.]

Zenk: “Ron Martin is the referee for this contest.”

[Both Katie and Mia walk around the ring.]

(ding, ding, ding)

[Collins immediately shoulder tackles Mia. Snap mare takeover on Mia.  Mia jumps right back to her feet and launches herself at Collins. She plants a big smooch on Katie.]

Tessa: “Long Kiss Goodnight! Long Kiss Goodnight!”

[Katie shoves Mia away and rolls to the floor.]

Judith:  “That is the one move that Katie Collins has to be cognitive of.  It could change the course of this match.”

[Ron Martin starts the count (.1) ]

Tessa: “You’re absolutely right, Judith.  Mia totally caught Katie napping with that move.”

[Katie tries to regain her bearings.  Mia tries to kiss her but Katie again shoves her away. (..2) (…3) Mia hits an earringer on Katie… (….4) …and then pulls her hair. ]

Tessa: “Mia’s got a shot.  Katie hasn’t recovered from the Long Kiss Goodnight.”

[(…..5) Katie again pushes Mia away and climbs back into the ring.  Mia follows and walks right into a baba chop.  Mia turns right around and slaps Katie right back.  Mia grabs Katie head and kisses her! Long Kiss Goodnight!  Katie’s legs buckle and she and Mia fall back into the ropes.]

Tessa: “She’s in trouble.”

Judith: “I don’t believe it.”

[Again, Katie pushes her away.  Mia keeps at it and slaps on a reverse chin lock. The referee Ron Martin checks for a tap out…Katie grabs the ropes and Martin make Mia break the hold.  Again, Katie bails to ringside.  Martin starts the count (.1) Mia grabs a microphone cable and chokes Katie with it.  Katie struggled to break free in her weakened state. (..2)  (…3) Katie suddenly shoots her leg back and mule kicks Mia.]

Tessa: “That was a desperation move by Katie Collins.  She rolls back into the ring and tries again to get the cobwebs cleared.”

Judith: “I’ll say this about Mia Margarita tonight.  She’s doing a great job of staying on the offense and not allowing Katie Collins to recover.”

[Mia also back in and presses the attack.  She latches on Katie again and locks lips with her. Long Kiss Goodnight!  Katie’s knees buckle again.  She musters enough strength to push Mia back but only for a second.  Mia again kisses her and Katie hangs on to the ropes for dear life.  The referee makes Mia break and Katie again rolls out of the ring.]

Tessa: “Could we see a huge upset here tonight?”

Judith: “Katie needs to keep Mia away from her long enough for whatever she puts her lips to wear off.  Otherwise…yes.”

[The ref begins to count. (…1)  Mia eventually gives chase.  She slams Katie by her hair a couple of times.  (…2)  Then she tackles Katie and tries to lock lips with her again.  (…3)  Katie keeps her at bay and then somehow rolls her over.  (…4)  She unleashes a barrage of punches on Mia.  (…5)  Katie, her strength beginning to return, kicks Mia and delivers a knee to the head. (…6)  Katie rolls her back into the ring.  Knees to the back by Katie and she covers.  Mia kicks out at two.]

Tessa: “The momentum has changed back.”

Judith: “Katie’s a champion.  She knows how to weather storms like that.”

[Katie chops Mia and sends her hard into the corner.  An uppercut follows.  Then Katie hits a thrust kick that drops Mia like a rock.  Katie locks in the Gogoplata.  Mia quickly taps out.  Jack Zenk back in the ring.]

Zenk: “The winner of this match, Katie Collins!!!”

Tessa: “Give Mia some credit.  She took Katie to the limit.  But as you said, Katie’s a former champion and her experience allowed her to hang on long enough to turn the match around.”

Judith: “Hopefully Katie learns not to underestimate her opponent.  She nearly let Mia steal this match from her.”

————————

Outside the arena
[A limo pulls up to the back entrance and stops.  The car door opens and ‘Sweet Southern Comfort’ Jackie Daniels steps out.  She is dressed in all black tonight and has a grim expression on her face.  Next out is ‘The 6 Foot Demolition Machine in a Short Skirt’ Dawn McGill.  She, too, is dressed in black albeit her usual attire of a black halter top and a black short mini-skirt.  Then four paramilitary men, also dressed in black, pile out of the limo and follow Dawn inside.]

Judith: “Who in God’s name are those people with Dawn?”

Tessa: “Judith, it’s a long story.  Let’s get back to the ring for our next match.”

MATCH #2

‘Lingerie Girl’ Brandi Bayless vs. Weathergirl Hallie

[Ring announcer Jack Zenk is in the ring and ready to introduce the first match.]

Zenk: “In the ring at this time, weighing in at 105 pounds, from Holland, Ohio, she’s Lingerie Girl Brandi Bayless!!!”

(crowd cheers ***)

[Brandi Bayless poses and then waves to the crowd. ]

*Openings bars of Tom Petty’s ‘I Won’t Back Down’ begins to play*

Zenk: “Her opponent, weighing in at 128 pounds, from Arlington, VA, Weathergirl Hallie!!!

(crowd boos ***)

(ding, ding, ding)

The women lock up in the middle of the ring.  Brandi hits Hallie with the back of her elbow.  Hallie retaliates with an earringer.  The Lingerie Girl then bites Hallie’s arm and gouges her eyes.  Hallie creates some space with a chop.  Then she lifts Brandi and hits a running powerslam.   Brandi bounces right back up.  Hallie rushes forward and clotheslines the Lingerie Girl right over the top rope.  Hallie slides out  and grabs a steel folding chair.  Referee Ron Martin starts the count (.1)  Hallie blasts Brandi with the chair and busts her open. (..2)  Hallie sets and nails a corkscrew legdrop.  Brandi pulls herself back up… (…3) …and pokes Hallie in the eyes. (….4)  Brandi rakes her face… (…5)  …and climbs back into the ring.  Hallie follows and Brandi greets her with a jawbreaker.  Brandi follows with a kick to the gut, takes a few steps back, and scissor kicks her to the mat. ]

Tessa: “Unbelievable action to start.  As we noted, you can’t underestimate the Lingerie Girl.  She comes to wrestle…no matter how she’s dressed.”

Judith: “I don’t approve of her choice of costume.  But I do approve of her wrestling prowness.”

Tessa: “Oooh.  Boston Crab by Brandi Bayless.”

[Brandi hooks each of Hallie’s legs in one of her arms, turns her face-down, and steps over her.  Then she sets a semi-sitting position facing away from Hallie and bends her legs towards her face. Referee Martin asks Hallie if she quits.  Hallie screams ‘NO!’ and tries to use her arms to push towards the ropes.  Inch by inch, Hallie pushes closer and closer.  Brandi tries to halt her progress.  Hallie finally reaches out and grabs the bottom rope.  The referee makes Brandi release the hold.]

Tessa: “That was close.”

Judith: “The different there was Hallie’s power.  Brandi couldn’t keep her centered in the ring.”

[Weathergirl Hallie back up.  Brandi charges.  Hallie sidesteps and sends her through the ropes outside the ring.  Hallie grabs the ropes…slingshot senton over the top rope smashes Brandi on the floor.  Referee Martin starts the count (.1)  Hallie back up to the ring apron…diving elbow smash.  Hallie again up.  Handspring moonsault on Brandi.  Hallie pulls Brandi up by the hair and throws her back into the ring.  Hallie nails the Lingerie Girl with a flurry of lefts and rights.  Russian leg sweep takes Brandi to the ground.  Hallie goes top turnbuckle and lands a double foot stomp.  Hallie back up top…shooting star press. Cover.  Martin counts. …1 …2 …3 ]

Tessa: “Weathergirl Hallie will meet Katie Collins next week for the number one contender’s spot.

[Jack Zenk in the ring.]

Zenk: The winner of this match, Weathergirl Hallie!!!

Judith: “Good match.  Hallie’s strength pulls her through this one.   Again, you cannot take Brandi Bayless lightly.

Tessa: “Back with more right after this…”

Backstage

[Paige McGillicutty is with the MVW Television Champion Brooke Evans.]

Paige: “Brooke, last week it appeared you had control of your ‘Champions vs. Champions’ match with MVW Champion Miss USA.  What happened?”

Brooke: “What happened?  Everyone saw what happened.  That whiny bitch Carrieanne McDermott cost me a clean win.  Sure, I still took the DQ victory but still, when I have everything going in my favor.”

Paige: “Can you tell us just where this war between you and Carrieanne McDermott began?  It seems as if you two simply hate each other.”

Brooke: “She’s a savage, Paige.  We played several rugby matches against each other when we were in school.  The Scots always played rough and Carrieanne was no exception.”

Paige: “So, this whole feud is over…a rugby game?”

Brooke: “Not just a rugby game…the England versus Scotland rugby game.  ENGLAND FOREVER!  SCOTLAND NEVER!”

Paige: “Well, at least we now know just what fuels this conflict between Carrieanne McDermott and Brooke Evans.  Back to you Tessa.”

[Cut back to Tessa and Judith at the broadcast desk.]

Tessa: “Thanks Paige.  Amazing how something that seems so…petty…can end up causing a lot of strife.  Just a couple of notes, Jason Carmondy will make an announcement next week concerning Missouri Valley Wrestling’s first ever pay per view event.  And the $50,000 winner take all Battle Royale is two weeks away.  Miss USA will also put her title on the line against the winner of the Katie Collins-Weathergirl Hallie match next week as MVW returns to Wichita, Kansas next week.”

MATCH #3

Corrina Romanov vs. Carrieanne McDermott

[Jack Zenk is in the ring.]

*The opening notes to ‘The Final Countdown’ starts*

Zenk: “Coming to the ring first, weighing in at 145 pounds, from Kiev, Russia, Corrina Romanov!!!

(crowd cheers **)

[Corrina Romanov climbs into the ring. ]

Zenk: “Also coming to the ring, weighing in at 120 pounds, from Glasgow, Scotland, Carrieanne McDermott!!!”

*Left Side of the Dial by the Replacements play*

[The crowd cheers as Carrieanne McDermott comes to the ring. ]

(ring, ring, ring)

[McDermott out of the blocks fast with a charging axhandle bodyblock.  She slides to the canvas and slaps a chokehold on Romanov. ]

Tessa: “McDermott breaks out the choke hold early on!  You think some of this stuff with Brooke Evans is weighing on her mind.”

Judith: “Absolutely.  That was an incredibly aggressive start.”

[Martin starts to count- McDermott finally breaks the chokehold.  Romanov jabs at McDermott.  The Scot responds with a forearm that knocks the Russian off balance.   McDermott fires a lariat that sends Romanov back first hard to the canvas.  Leg drop by McDermott.  She pulls a dazed Romanov up and places her head between her legs.  She jumps…brain buster.  Cover.  1…2…Romanov kicks out.  She somehow has the presence of mind to roll out of the ring.  McDermott also to ringside.  Referee Martin starts the count (.1) ]

Tessa: “Romanov’s in trouble…and here comes Brooke Evans!”

[Evans blasts McDermott with a chair.]

Tessa: “McDermott never saw her coming!  She’s down outside the ring.”

Judith: “Those girls really need to resolve their differences inside a steel cage or something.”

[Romanov takes advantage and slingshot elbow drops McDermott. (..2)  Inverted DDT on floor by Romanov.  She pulls McDermott up and tosses her back in the ring. Shoulder tackle by the Russian.  Romanov hooks McDermott’s leg and walks one of her legs around the other leg before dropping to a kneeling position. Corrina then reaches over and grabs McDermott’s far leg and places it on top of the trapped foot. Romanov does a forward roll while maintaining the hold and forces McDermott onto her chest.]

Tessa: “Indian Deathlock!  Corrina’s got it synched in.”

[Referee Ron Martin is checking for a tap out. … … Romanov tightens the hold. … … …McDermott trys to escape.  She finally taps out. ]

Tessa: “McDermott taps out and it’s Corrina Romanov who wins the match!”

Judith: “With a little help from Brooke Evans.”

Tessa: “Here’s Jack Zenk.”

[Zenk’s in the ring to make the announcement.]

Zenk: “The winner of the match, Corrina Romanov!!!”

Tessa: “Okay.  A quick commercial break and then Jackie Daniels is coming out.  We’ll be right back.”

————————————-

*The opening bars of Charlie Robison’s ‘Down Again’ begin to play*

[‘Sweet Southern Comfort’ Jackie Daniels emerges and slowly walks to the ring.  Jackie arrives at the ring and grasps the ropes.  She deliberately climbs through the ropes.]

[Jackie looks down at the ground.]

[The crowd quiets as Jackie slowly brings a microphone to her mouth.  She hesitates and then begins.]

Jackie: “Um…I wanted to come out here tonight to confirm what you probably already know.  As a result of my actions last week, inside the ring and outside, I’ve been suspended from MVW for one month.  Yes, I am entering a rehab facility to address my alcohol and prescription drug problems and most importantly, I have chosen to address the reasons that cause me to…self-medicate myself.  I want to state for the record that Jason Carmondy did not force me to come out here tonight- this was all me.  My idea.  Because, for the first time in my life, I’ve decided to face the problem myself and not rely on others or other things to help me get through it.”

[Jackie moves the mic away briefly so she can cough.  Then she continues.]

Jackie: “You see, it’s not easy to admit that you have a problem.  And I know this doesn’t make me any different then many people.  I know I’m not the only one who struggles with this.  But…I do.  I am…well…I am a very flawed person.  Again, that doesn’t make me different from other people.  I’ve learned through years of experience to use people or things as a crutch to deal with my insecurities and self-doubt…like many other people out there do.  And like other people, I am slowly coming to terms with the fact that I do have a problem.  It’s hard to admit that you’re not perfect even though deep down inside you know you are.  It’s hard to admit that the way you handle an innate lack of self-confidence is self-destructive and jeopardizing a career in pro wrestling that I love dearly.  That’s why I’ve not only accepted the punishment handed down by MVW but I’ve embraced it.  I’m going to rehab not only to get clean, not only to get sober, but to gain knowledge and and understanding of who I am and learn how to cope with my anxieties.  Some may think that I’m showing weakness by coming out here and bearing my soul to you all.  I choose to see it as projecting strength.  I am out here publicly admitting my flaws and mistakes not to gain your sympathy, not to gain your pity, but to face them in a way that I wouldn’t allow myself to face them before.  And that’s by not bottling my emotions up inside of me but by expressing them in a constructive manner that allows me to actually deal with them.  That’s what I want.  I want to be happy so I can do the things that make me happy- and that’s coming out to this ring and performing for all of you.”

[Light applause interrupts her.]

Jackie: “So, to the management of Missouri Valley Wrestling, I’m sorry.  I’m sorry I brought this spectacle to MVW.  You took a chance on me when no one else would…and…I’m very, very sorry that I’ve gone and messed it up again.  But yet, you still stand behind me…thank you.  To Miss USA, I’m truly, truly sorry about last week.  I wish I could-”

*Music to Toby Keith’s “Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue” begins*

[The crowd murmers when Miss USA appears with bodyguard/manager Dawn McGill with her.]

[Miss USA and Dawn walk briskly to the ring.  They both climb in and go right over to Jackie.]

Jackie: “Amy, again I’m so sorry…you have no idea how bad I-”

[Miss USA puts her arms around Jackie and embraces her.  Jackie seems surprised…and then she completely breaks down.  Her microphone drops the canvas and she buries her head on Miss USA’s shoulder.  Dawn comes over and comforts Jackie.  Then one by one, the rest of the roster files out.  Katie Collins.  Weathergirl Hallie.  ‘Texas Cowgirl’ Haley Dallas.  Mia Margarita.  Angel Scott and Angel Casey.  NoCal Mal and Bettina Schultz.  Corrina Romanov.  Brooke Evans.  Carrieanne McDermott.  All of the roster eventually ends up inside the ring and surround Jackie.]

Tessa: “That pretty much says it all, Judith.”

Judith: “Yes, it does.”

Tessa and Judith take off their broadcast headphones and join the wrestlers in the ring.

Fade to black.

Missouri Valley Wrestling: MVWA 10
Charles Koch Arena
Wichita, Kansas
Sunday, September 27th
Hosts: Tessa Martin and Dame Judith Carmondy

Tessa: “Good evening.  It doesn’t seem like it but over two months ago, the odyssey of Missouri Valley Wrestling began right here at the Charles Koch Arena for MVWA 1.  Tonight, we’re back with three matches to determine three number one contenders who will get their chance at the MVW, MVW Television, and MVW Tag Team belts next week in Kansas City.  Dame Judith Carmondy, what can you say about our three matches tonight?”

Judith: “I’m not sure a whole lot.  Katie Collins and Weathergirl Hallie battled each other going all the way back to their days at PCW.  Corrina Romanov and Carrieanne McDermott- it just depends on whether Brooke Evans again tries to influence the match by interfereing.  I think she’d be quite smart not to- simply because I think she can beat either one of these women.”

Tessa: “Is there a match that stands out to you, tonight?”

Judith: “Certainly.  The three-way tag team match.  I can’t even begin to tell you who I think will survive that match- and I do mean survive that match.”

Tessa: “Thank you Dame Judith Carmondy.  Jack Zenk is about to head into the ring.  Let’ s go to him now.”

[Brin and Skyler slink up to the ring with their valet Bethany]

MATCH #1 VIP Brin and Sky vs. The Inconvenient Truth vs. Vatican Vice Squad

Ring announcer Jack Zenk climbs inside the ring.

Zenk:  “Our first match tonight is a three way tag team match with the winner getting a title show next week.  In one corner, the team of Brin and Sky, V-I-P!!!

[VIP high fives and waves to their fans.]

Zenk:  “Our second team in ther three way contest contest tonight: NoCal Mal, Schultz, with their manager Totally Gore-d Bryan Horg…The Inconvenient Truth!”

[The Inconvenient Truth also wave to the people.]

Zenk: “Their final opponents, coming to the ring right now, Sister Mary, Sister Sandy, with Mother Superior Sister Susan in their corner, they are- The Vatican Vice Squad!”

[Vatican Vice Squad walk to the ring.]

Zenk: “Davey Keels will be your referee tonight.”

Tessa: “Well?  This is the match you’d thought might be the most intriguing of them all.  We’re about to find out if you’re right.”

(ring, ring, ring)

Tessa: “And there’s the bell.  It’ll be Bettina Schultz starting for the Inconvenient Truth, VIP Brin for VIP, and Sister Mary Marlboro for the Vatican Vice Squad.”

[…VIP Brin executes a neck-breaker on Sister Sandy. VIP Brin tags in VIP Sky.  NoCal Mal fist drops Sister Sandy on the mat.  NoCal Mal follows with a double arm DDT that sends Sister Sandy back to the mat.  Arm wrench to Sister Sandy by No Cal Mal.   VIP Sky staying out of harm’s way for now.  Sister Sandy stands up. NoCal Mal executes a swinging bulldog on Sister Sandy driving Sister Sandy’s face into the mat. NoCal Mal is back on her feet. NoCal Mal powerbombs Sister Sandy into the mat. NoCal Mal covers Sister Sandy. Davey Keels counts the pin. …1 …2 …3 ]

The Vatican Vice Squad Eliminated.

Tessa: “A bit of a surprise there.  But really, the Vatican Vice Squad seemed to be behind the eight ball a good chunk of the match.”

Judith: “It helps when you’re a target.  And clearly, the Vatican Vice Squad was a target.  Both VIP and the Inconvenient Truth worked together to defeat them.  Now, let’s see how they fare against each other.”

[…NoCal Mal gets back to her feet. (…3) She tries for a belly-to-back suplex but is unable to lift VIP Sky.  VIP Sky knocks NoCal Mal into Davey Keels taking out the referee. She rakes her fingers across NoCal Mal’s back. VIP Sky slaps her. Sister Mary, Sister Sandy and Sister Susan come to ringside. Sister Mary throws the chair to NoCal Mal…she catches it….Standing Side Kick into the chair by Sister Mary!  Sister Sandy sets up a table .  Sister Mary drags NoCal Mal top rope… she puts her thru the table.  Sister Sandy clotheslines Schultz.  She piledrives her on the outside floor.  Keels up.  VIP Sky rolls NoCal Mal into the ring. She goes for a pin. The ref starts the count. …1 …2 …3 ]

Zenk: “The winners of the match in seventeen minutes and twenty-one seconds, VIP!!!”

Tessa: “With a little bit of help from the Vatican Vice Squad, no less.  What the hey?”

Judith: “I guess the Sisters wanted to express their disagreement concerning the way they had been eliminated.  Either way, it’s VIP who has the unenviable task of going up against the Angels of Death next week for the MVW Tag Team title belts.”

Tessa: “That’s true.  VIP wins and gets the night started.  Let’s go back to Paige McGillicutty for a quick update.”

Paige McGillicutty

Paige: Thanks Tessa.   Last week on MVWA 9, we witnessed a touching and heartfelt moment that transcended pro wrestling.

REPLAY-Jackie Daniels’s Speech from Last Week:

I should pay her a visit, she’s nothing without me. 7:39 AM Sep 24th from web

Paige: “No word if Ms. Lewis has actually followed through or not.  Rumor has it she may actually be here in Wichita tonight watching the MVWA show.”

Tessa: ‘Thanks Paige.  We’ll be back right after this.”

MATCH #2 Corrina Romanov vs. Carrieanne McDermott

Tessa: “Last week, these two met to settle the number one contender for the TV title.  However, the ongoing feud between McDermott and TV Champion Brooke Evans got in the way.”

REPLAY: LAST WEEK’S SHOW
Tessa:
“Romanov’s in trouble…and here comes Brooke Evans!”

[Evans blasts McDermott with a chair.]

Tessa: “McDermott never saw her coming!  She’s down outside the ring.”

Judith: “Those girls really need to resolve their differences inside a steel cage or something.”

(the bell rings)

[…McDermott hits a spinning headscissors on Romanov.  She picks up Romanov and drops her neck first on the ropes.  Brooke Evans runs to the ring.  Double underhook faceslam to McDermott.  Evans applies a blatant chokehold.   Keels somehow peels Evans off McDermott and ejects her from the ring.  Romanov with a fist drop on McDermott.  She uses a legsweep to bring McDermott down.  Romanov rolls her up with a backflip cradle.  McDermott is able to reverse and roll the Russian.  Referee Davey Keels makes the count. …1 …2 …3 ]

Tessa: “Wow!  Next week!  McDermott vs. Evans…again for the TV title!”

Judith: “I thought referee Keels took prompt and proper action against Evans even though I didn’t believe for a second that McDermott had anything left.”

Tessa: “Here’s Jack Zenk with the official call.”

Zenk: “The winner at eleven minutes and forty-one seconds, and the NEW number one contender for the MVW Television Title- Carrieanne McDermott!”

Tessa: “All right, next, Jason Carmondy makes a huge announcement concerning the first Missouri Valley Wrestling pay per view.  And then our big main event.  We’ll be back.”

——————————–

[MVW CEO Jason Carmondy stands in the middle of the ring.]

Jason: “Ladies and gentlemen.  I could think of no better place to make this announcement than right here in the very arena that the Missouri Valley Wrestling Association held our first event.”

[Loud ovation follows.]

Jason: “Tonight, I am proud to announce the following…in conjunction and partnership with our friends over at Political Championship Wrestling, on October 18th, we will be holding a joint MVW-PCW Pay Per View event called ‘Lock and Load.’”

[More applause follows.]

Jason: “We will have more details forthcoming.  But, you can bet that all three titles will be on the line in three weeks.  You better get ready for MVW-PCW Lock and Load in three weeks!”

Tessa: “Interesting!  A joint pay per view event with Political Championship Wrestling.”

Judith: “I know I’ve been very critical of some of Jason’s business moves in the past, but I must admit this makes some sense- economically.”

Tessa: “So, the big announcement confirms that MVW will be having their first pay per view show in three weeks.  The main event right after this.”

MATCH #3 Katie Collins vs. Weathergirl Hallie

*Openings bars of Tom Petty’s ‘I Won’t Back Down’ begins to play*

Zenk: “Our main event tonight is to determine the number one contender for the MVW title.  First, weighing in at 128 pounds, from Arlington, VA, Weathergirl Hallie!!!

[Weathergirl Hallie walks down to the ring.]

Zenk: “Her opponent, on her way to the ring at this time, weighing in at 155 pounds, from Binghamton, New York, Katie Collins!!!

[Collins confidently climbs into the ring. ]

Tessa: “These two had some epic battles back in their PCW days.  There’s a lot riding on this match.  We’ll see who’ll come out on top tonight.”

[…Collins comes from behind and bulldogs Hallie.  She goes for a airplane spin toss but Hallie dodges the attack.  Collins bounces Hallie off the ropes and hits her with a backdrop.  She drags Hallie to the floor.

Davey Keels starts the count (.1) (..2) Collins grabs a steel chair and blasts her with it. (…3)  Collins with a closed fist. Collins is back on his feet.  Running neckbreaker drop by Collins.  She throws Hallie into the steel barricade. (….4)   Collins hits an atomic drop and rolls her back into the ring.

Collins throws Hallie off the ropes and hits her with a cross-body block.  Inside cradle. Davey Keels counts. …1 …2 …3 ]

Tessa: “It’s going to be Katie Collins and Miss USA- part three!  Collins with the win tonight over a tough Weathergirl Hallie.”

[Jack Zenk is ready to make the announcement.]

Zenk: “At nine minutes and twenty seconds, the winner and NEW number one contender for the MVW Title- Katie Collins!”

*Music to Toby Keith’s “Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue” begins*

[The crowd murmers when Miss USA appears with bodyguard/manager Dawn McGill and McGill’s four paramilitary guards.]

Tessa: “Well, things are about to get interesting.  Here’s the MVW Champion right now.”

Miss USA: “Cut the music, please.  Katie?  It’s you and me again for the third…and last…time next week.  You got me once at PCW.  I won the rematch at the WWR Supershow.  And next week, the winner walks out of a MVW event with the title.  I have too much respect for you to cut the classic wrestling promo describing in excruciating detail how I’m going to win the match next week.  All I’m going to say is this…after we’re through next week, Kansas City will never be the same.  I’ll see you next week.”

[Miss USA drops the microphone.]

Katie: “That’s fine and all, Miss USA.  But I’ll go you one better.  Why don’t you leave your Amazon manager and her third world task force in the dressing room and it’ll just be you…and me.  No interference.  No run-ins.  Nothing.”

[Miss USA picks the microphone back up.]

Miss USA: “I’ll do you one better.  Cage match.  Then it won’t matter who comes to the ring…won’t it.”

[Collins nods her head.]

Katie: “I guess, not.  Cage match it is.”

Tessa: “There you have it!  A cage match for the MVW title.  Miss USA defends against Katie Collins inside a cage.”

Judith: “I don’t really care for these type of extreme matches, Tess.  But, that being said, Miss USA and Katie Collins 3 should be one for the ages.”

Tessa: “That is all for this week.  We will see you in Kansas City next week for three big title matches and the $50,000 winner take all Battle Royale.  See you then.”
