MVW House Show
Saturday August 8th, 2015
Night two of Missouri Valley Wrestling Illinois swing stopped off in the city of Effingham, Illinois at the crossroads of two major interstate highways. The locker room was still buzzing over the announcement that Heartland Champion Sheline Carrigan would in fact get a shot at the MVW Television Title next Saturday night. The Green World Order didn’t share the enthusiasm and one by one trooped to the ring to express their displeasure.
Current Television Champion Kathryn Randall Collins spoke and asked a simple question: “Why Sheline Carrigan? Why not one of the other women on the roster? Why does Jill Berg Enterprises get preferential treatment?”
This brought out Jill Berg Enterprises CEO and Corporate Predator Extraordinaire Jill Berg along with the rest of JBE. Berg’s rebuttal: “Why Sheline Carrigan? Because next to me, she’s the best wrestler in Missouri Valley Wrestling. She’s paid her dues working tirelessly at the house shows to help build up the MVW brand.”
Both sides then exchange barbed responses until the final arbiters of this controversy walk out- MVW co-bookers Corrina Romanov and Kevin G. Briscoe. Briscoe lays it on the line: “Why does Sheline Carrigan get a TV title shot next weekend? Because we said so.”
Romanov then taps Briscoe’s shoulders and whispers something in his ear. Briscoe then continues: “Oh. And why has ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris been added to the MVW Title match at MVWA 64? Because we said so.”
Briscoe and Romanov walk off leaving the GWO and JBE shouting back at them as the pair exit to the back.
Hannah Lancer defeated Airline Amie
-Lancer grounds Airline Amie and takes home a win in a battle of two rookie MVW wrestlers.
The Korver Sisters (Korey and Kelly) defeat Terry Sargent/Maxie Perry
-Korey and Kelly try to jump start their tag team fortunes with a win over the always tough pair of Sargent and Perry.
Jill Berg defeated Desiree Davis
-Berg wasted little time disposing of Davis as she gets tuned up for her upcoming title challenge against Lady Halitosis.
The Green World Order (Code Pink/Soccer Mom) defeat Blake Varney/Cheryl Parkman
-The GWO had little problem rolling past Varney and Parkman.
MVW Champion Lady Halitosis comes out and again thanks the fans for their support. She also singles out the work backstage that Dawn McGill has done to help her become a better wrestler. Lady Halitosis admits that she’s not sure if she’ll walk out of MVWA 64 as the champion. She knows that Jill Berg is at the top of her game right now. She also knows that ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris has been patiently waiting for her opportunity.
Lady Halitosis says: “All I can do is go out there in three weeks and do the best I can. Dawn’s trained me very well for this moment. Hopefully, I can deliver.”
Angels of Death (Angel Scott/Angel Casey) vs. The Kentucky Deerhunters (Kellyanne Morris/Bailey Foster)- double count-out
-For the second night in a row, the AoD and the Deerhunters get counted out thanks to the ring invasion conducted by the Green World Order. The difference tonight- the MVW Tag Team Champions ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin and ‘Texas Cowgirl’ Haley Dallas join in.
Jill Berg Enterprises (Hallie Burton/Mia Margarita/Jill Berg) again run-in for a five on two beat down on the Deerhunters. Like the night before, the Green World Order (Kathryn Randall Collins/Code Pink/Soccer Mom) charge down to even the odds and another temporary, and awfully weird, alliance with the Deerhunters is forged.
Then the tag champions weighed in and destroyed everyone left standing in the ring.
Tess took the microphone at that point. She told the crowd she didn’t care who emerged from the wreckage of this blood feud between the AoD and the Deerhunters, “we’ll be waiting on the other side at MVWA 64.”
MAIN EVENT- MVW Television Champion Kathryn Randall Collins defeated MVW Champion Lady Halitosis- non-title match
-In a battle between the top MVW singles champions, KRC eeks out a win thanks to some outside interference by the GWO. Lady Halitosis acquitted herself well but ended up losing to the GWO numbers game and tapped out to KRC’s Gogoplata submission.
‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris raced down to the ring to make the save when the GWO decided to take out their frustrations on the MVW champion. Iris was then joined by JBE CEO Jill Berg and a big standoff between the three participants in the upcoming MVWA 64 show ended the night.
